We took a risk with Shopify, because there’s not a lot of enterprise sites built on that platform. To that end, for them to create what they did required a lot of creativity and custom code that we weren’t expecting. They were able to write custom code and make the site work the way we wanted it to work. The price we paid them was fixed bid, and they didn’t once ask for more even though they had to write a lot of unexpected custom code.

I think one of the biggest things is that they’re problem solvers. We interviewed probably eight to 10 firms before we went with HUEMOR, and I never got the impression that they would take the time to figure out our true business needs, and try to figure out how to make it work. We had a unique project. Their attention to detail and their willingness to keep at it, I think they ended up taking a loss in engineering hours.
