They stay up late if our clients want edits with an immediate turnaround. Learn how to make the time zone difference work for you. For example, at my previous company, our developers would have morning scrums and work through the day. Now we have scrum meetings at noon and everything is done by the following morning.

We communicate with their team via phone and electronically. Let them be the professionals. Sometimes, you think you know what you're doing, but you're hiring them as professionals. We were not able to meet the original project schedule but Nick made a plan to get the project back on track and worked hard so all parties were aligned and hitting deadlines. Nick always gave advanced notice if he was going to be out of the office and was incredibly quick to reply all other times. He overly communicated, sent reminders, and was patient in explaining the process or anything new.
