Please describe your company and your position there.
I work for Pleasant View a small porta potty business, my duties include customer relations.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Ladybugz Interactive Agency?
Our website was very outdated and not very user friendly. We hired Ladybugz to help design us a whole new website that reflected more of who we are as a company. Ladybugz also helps us with our social media accounts and our local SEO.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had met with a few other companies before choosing Ladybugz. Our deciding factor was the fact that Lysa and all her employees take the time to make you feel a part of their team. They keep us well updated and always make sure we are completely satisfied with all the work they do. The pricing was very affordable and the communication was great.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After sitting down and talking about our goal and objectives we decided we would need 2 website projects, support and hosting, social media Jumpstart, System training , and monthly consulting. We started with our Website redesign and shortly after that we began our social media Jumpstart package.
After finishing the Jumpstart we meet monthly to discuss areas of improvement and to brainstorm ideas for the future. Lysa has also taken the time to help train us in some of the social media aspects.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
In total we worked with 4 different members of the team. We speak to Lysa about our whole project, Crystal handles our social media posting, Aya writes for our website and blogs posts, Frank also took some headshots for our new website as well!
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The help and training they provided us has helped us implement new methods into posting on our social media accounts to get more traction. Since Ladybugs has done our websites our website inquiries have greatly improved as well.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Everyone on our team has been super helpful and very responsive. Whenever we have questions or concerns they always make sure things are answered and solved- all while helping us understand the processes behind everything.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Lysa is extremally knowledgeable in the website/SEO field. All of our questions were answered with ease and told in a way we would understand. The care that the team takes in each aspect of the project has been amazing, and being able to be so familiar with who is working behind the scenes is such a great feeling.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
All and all I think Ladybugz has done a great job with our project. Our websites look amazing and our social media pages are definitely getting more traction.

Ladybugz Interactive Agency was hired by a nonprofit to redesign their outdated website. They discussed the project requirements, such as content, photographs, designs, and the sitemap.
A month after launching the revamped website by Ladybugz Interactive Agency, the client received over 40 service request submissions through the website. Minor typos and bugs were also quickly resolved. The team was highly responsive and professional, which made the client feel more comfortable.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a manager for the Southwest Virginia Workforce Development Board. The SWVA WDB is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides workforce services to area job seekers and businesses.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Ladybugz Interactive Agency, and what were your goals?
We hired Ladybugz Interactive Agency to redesign our clunky, outdated website. Our goal was to present information about our programs and initiatives to the public in a down-to-earth and easy-to-understand way.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We requested proposals from two other firms in addition to Ladybugz. The first firm presented an adequate website, but it was not aligned well with our goal of making our information more accessible. The second firm had worked with another workforce development board in Virginia and offered to use the other WDB's site as a template for ours.
Their solution was unacceptable for us because we wanted to retain our own identity as the Southwest Virginia Workforce Development Board. Ladybugz was the only agency that seemed to understand our goal.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We kicked off the project with a discovery call where we were able to discuss our agency, our work, our challenges, and our vision for the new website. Our project manager and I met weekly to discuss content, photographs, and all other items needed for the website, as well as to review designs, the sitemap, and other details.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We primarily worked with a creative director who was our main point of contact. We also spoke with the COO and CEO several times during the process. There were also two developers behind-the-scenes.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching the site, we've noticed a significant increase in individuals requesting our services. We've received over 40 submissions through the website in just one month.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had weekly "huddles" via Zoom, where we were able to review elements of the site and address any concerns or issues. Our project manager broke down everything she needed from me into manageable weekly tasks. The team communicated in a timely manner, and I never felt alone during the development process.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was impressed that Ladybugz took the time to get to know our organization and team before any actual work began. Being from the Central Appalachian region, our area and people are often subject to judgment and stereotypes. I have a thick Appalachian dialect and accent, so I've experienced the bias those stereotypes can perpetuate firsthand. The Ladybugz team was very professional and inclusive, and I never felt at any time that I was being "talked down to" as I have with some other companies or agencies.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
After launch, we found some minor typos and bugs here and there. We contacted our project manager, and they were taken care of quickly.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
Sonothera is developing an ultrasound-guided nonviral gene therapy platform and therapies to provide patients with the next generation of genetic medicines. I am the head of Digital.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Ladybugz Interactive Agency?
We are a startup company and wanted a website to describe our technology and its potential for developing new and innovative genetic medicines. Ladybugz was engaged to develop that site.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked at a number of potential developers. We wanted a group that was not only experienced in site development for biotech, but was entrepreneurial in its approach. The idea was that this would be the first of a series of engagements as our company and our online needs grew. Ladybugz fit that description. In addition, our pre-engagement discussions with them went very well.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We spent some time presenting our technology and its potential to the group at Ladybugz. Our intent was to allow them to fully understand what we were doing, both on the macro and micro level. The more they were engaged with our bubble technology, the better the initial designed concepts would be. That phase of the site development was successful. Ladybugz then presented us with three basic WordPress designs, all based on the idea of bubble graphics and videos. From that we selected one that would be the graphic concept of the site.
They also proposed the basic pages for the site based on our initial discussion and stated needs. We now has the visual concept and the site pages. The SonoThera group got together and wrote most of the text for the individual site pages. That was given to Ladybugz and incorporated into the general layout. We had a series of meetings to discuss and refine the details of both the graphics and site text. Once that was complete, a non-public site was posted for all parties to review and comment. That led to a number of minor changes and a final site design. The site went live December 4, 2022.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Four individuals from Ladybugz Interactive Agency actively worked on our project. They included the following. Designer Project Manager SEO Expert Technical Manager
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are 100% pleased with the SonoTherad.com site that they developed. This is an introductory site for us and it has only been a few days since we went live. The initial feedback from those outside our organization has been very positive. there is no question that the site reflects well on our company.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was smooth on both ends. Deadlines were met and the geniality of the people working for them and us was excellent. Our meetings were always friendly and productive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Ladybugz quickly understood our technology and were able to translate into graphics, presentation material and site design. And they were easy to work with.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It may be a cliché, but we don't look back, only forward. We are working with Ladybugz now on generating productive traffic and future upgrades to the site.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing Manager for JB Sash & Door based in Boston. We are a full services window and door company that has been in business for over 80 years.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Ladybugz Interactive Agency?
We hired Ladybugz to help reimagine and create a website that was truly reflective of who we are as a company.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Funny story... I found them through organic search! Their website is what drew me in. it was fresh, vibrant and easy to locate the information I was after. I loved the fact that I knew who they were as a company and their process for web design before I even sat down with them, including pricing. The experience I had as a consumer, interacting with their site is exactly what we were after with our site experience. It was a no-brainer... they proved to us that they know what they are doing!
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
It began with our discovery meeting where Ladybugz took the time to learn about who we were as a company and what was important to us. From there we worked as a team to identify who we were building the site for and what is important to that audience, which became our North Star. This work helped inform how we might reorganize our navigation to better serve that audience.
Once we had a strong foundation of how the infrastructure of how the site would work the design came. Ladybugz proposed 3 different designed homepages for us to choose as the basis of the design for the rest of the site. From there, things came together pretty quickly and they helped bring creative ideas to how we might bring more educational features to the customer journey to support our goals.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a team of 5 uniquely talented members working on our project. A very talented graphic designer, writer, and incredibly smart project captain, alongside Lysa the owner, and Frank the technical guru.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The site came out beautiful and we have received such great feedback from customers and industry partners. Ladybugz was able to take all the components and complexities of what we do and made it simple, clean, and easy to understand and navigate.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We meet once a week to have session meeting on progress, which were great. I was also able to communicate with them effectively outside of those meetings with established communication platforms, which made it easy for me to provide feedback and share ideas and content.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They really pushed us to dig deep as a company to bring forward our identity, not just the product and services we offer.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I'm not sure I have true feedback here. if I had to list something I would say that I got lost in the process at one time. But the team quickly helped me back on course once I expressed my confusion.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and CEO of Nanotein Technologies. We’re a biotech company that’s developed what we consider the next generation of t-cell activation and expansion technology. T-cells are a reagent for anti-cancer therapy.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Ladybugz Interactive Agency?
They helped us with web development and design. We asked them to design an entirely new site for us. It was critical that we came across as professional.
We’re launching a beta test of our products, and the whole purpose of the site was to be attractive and draw in users. There also had to be a low barrier to signing up for testing.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have a video that comes up on our homepage, as well as a test request page; a kit test request page, which allows us to capture the information of potential beta users; and lots of marketing information that educates visitors to the site and raises their excited. There are also illustrations and images that appear and disappear as people scroll through the site. They had to do some coding on the backend to make certain objects on the frontend move in specific ways.
They provided SEO through their basic support package, utilizing Google Analytics. The package includes code versioning, where they maintain a full backup of the site; regular scans to look for broken links; visual checks to ensure all updates are properly implemented; and make security changes.
The website design was done on their own software.
What is the team composition?
There were five people: Billie (Director of Customer Success), Lysa (Founder & CEO), Robbie (Creative Director), Alison (Digital Marketer), and Frank (Technical Direction and Web Services).
Billie brought us in during the customer acquisition phase, and then we met with Lisa. Robbie handled the majority of the design work. Alison was helping with the language, and Frank handles the IT, setting up Google Analytics and helping us transition to the new site.
How did you come to work with Ladybugz Interactive Agency?
I found them through a Google search. After interviewing them and looking at their work, it was clear that they stood head and shoulders above the other three companies I was considering.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $32,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together from March–April 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site comes across as very professional and has already driven user engagement. We’ve had a ton of feedback on the website. The goal was to have the website ready in time for a conference, and not only was t ready, but we were able to sign up beta testers with it while we were there.
Not only was the product awesome, but their approach was very nice. They were laid back and acted as a team.
How did Ladybugz Interactive Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
We had weekly meetings. Ladybugz’ team did a great job of listening to us and then coming back with interpretations of what they heard, rather than force their ideas on us.
They did perfectly. We ended up soft-launching the site one week ahead of schedule, and Ladybugz was very transparent with their costs. Regarding communication we largely emailed each other and Zoom calls weekly with 2–3 of their members. Essentially, we’d go over what they were doing and ask questions.
Iterations would happen on the same day. I would email Robbie, and he’d respond within an hour. They were very responsive throughout.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was very impressed with their creativity, as well as their team-wide engagement. They were able to listen to my vision and make something that’s visually appealing and interactive. They were able to accurately translate my vision and words into a creative design.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t. I hope everything keeps going well for them and they scale their business model. They would do well in the biotech space, and there’s always new businesses and startups there.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
One company reached out to me for a reference, and I told them that the best way to get the most out of Ladybugz is to give them the creative license to impress you. Don’t micromanage them, as everyone has their expertise. Don’t go in thinking that you know more about what the product should look like than they do. Tell them to swing for the fences and you won’t be sorry.
