I hired Ammo to create a case study directory and individual case study pages for my agency's site.
Deliverables included design mock-ups (and light edits), development of both the 'Case Studies' page and individual design, as well as back-end/CMS work to ensure the site remained clean.

Completion of the pages to my satisfaction. There are no quantifiable metrics to put on these type of projects, but post-completion, they have/will helped us close more work.

It was incredible. The entire team (project manager, developer, designer) were extremely responsive to every question I had. More than that, they proactively communicated everything I needed to know. I was very impressed with them from start to finish.

The project was very well organized with a clear split of responsibilities on the side of Ammo. We had a clear understanding of the appropriate person that we should get in touch with if we have any feedback in a specific area of the project. Ammo had our best interest in mind and always tried to find the best possible solutions to our requests. We did not feel neglected at any step of the process. It was a great experience overall.

A very organized process with clear milestones throughout the whole collaboration. The whole Ammo team was able to grasp and process our feedback and iterate fast on the project. We do not remember any time when we felt there was a misunderstanding or a lack of alignment. Ammo has proven to be a great partner to us in this project.

It would have been great to get better clarity of what is expected from our team when providing guidance on product animations (as we had quite a few of those).

Content creation was another significant task, with a heavy emphasis on quality. This entailed photo editing to enhance visuals and writing compelling copy for the site. The work concluded with technical implementation, ensuring the site's functionality and responsiveness. The key deliverables were the fully functional website, enriched with professionally edited photos and engaging content

The project led by Ammo resulted in several measurable outcomes demonstrating significant success. Firstly, the fully functional website was delivered on schedule, indicating excellent project management. Secondly, user engagement metrics, such as average session duration and pages per visit, saw substantial improvement, reflecting the efficacy of the new design and compelling content. 

Thirdly, the bounce rate decreased, indicating that the website's user experience was enhanced. Also, there was an increase in organic traffic, pointing to the effectiveness of the SEO-friendly content created. The high-quality, edited photos also led to positive feedback on the website's aesthetic appeal. Lastly, a survey conducted showed improved user satisfaction rates, which substantiate the project's overall success.

Scope of work included site design from the ground up with branding overhaul and enhancement, followed by front and back-end development of the site upon design approval with complete control over content and maintenance transferred to the company upon project completion.

Low and high-fidelity wireframes were provided throughout the design process. Samples of site animations/graphics were provided throughout development to ensure client satisfaction before the final product was complete. 

As the site was developed and deployed via Webflow, account access, and content control was transferred to the company following final approval of the completed project.

The Ammo team not only provided items on time, but they were incredibly patient and professional with us when our team needed additional time for various creative and practical decisions at various points throughout the project. 

Specifically, Dennis Onalaja served as our point of contact and project manager for this project and he consistently went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met regardless of circumstance and his work was integral to the success of this project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The company is relatively new with a small staff, yet they consistently produced high-quality work for us without significant lead times.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Ammo Studios could have done differently?

Group communication via a private Slack channel was adequate, but not an ideal way of communicating for a project like this over an extended period of time. Although this mode of communication could be useful in other types of projects, I was not keen on it for this particular project.

• High converting landing page that would increase our appointment set rate 
• Redo our case study landing page and make it more dynamic so we could easily add to it without having to redesign it everytime 
• Take all of our competitor information and create over 200 competitor comparison pages that compared us to them

• We used hot jar to analyze how users interact on our site and we are seeing an increase in user visits. We also have Google Analytics set up and can see that the landing page is converting almost 3x higher than our past site 
• Our Case Study landing page is designed beautifully and does a great job at pre-framing our skills because our calendar booking page redirects to it 
• They were able to create a template embedded with CMS elements that we uploaded data into to create over 200+ competitor pages. These pages are also starting to rank

Ammo Studio was in charge of the development and redesign of my website. The version of my website was decent before they went in and upgrade my presence. From delivering the moldboard, wireframes, and high fidelity I was extremely pleased with the streamlined process. I was also pleased that they kept the deadlines that they promised me and communicated if any delays were to be expected.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of ColorStack, a nonprofit supporting Black and Latinx computer science students.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Ammo Studios?

We launched our nonprofit with a very basic website. We were getting a lot of traction, so we wanted to make it easier for people to find out about us and what we’re up to. We wanted to have easy calls to action instead of having a confusing website with no way for users to contact us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with our main website and did a redesign. Ammo Studios started with a mock-up and wireframes, designing them on Figma. Eventually, they created the website from scratch on Webflow in collaboration with us. We also launched another site for a specific event we were hosting, and Ammo Studios helped us create it through the same process.

The website allowed users to get basic information about who are to help them understand how to join us and become part of the community. We wanted people who want to be involved or support our work financially to understand the high-level details of the organization and join our newsletter. Ammo Studios created a call to action for every type of person that would come to the website.

Additionally, they helped with SEO and helped us figure out the right keywords.

The founder founded Ammo Studios and started tweeting about it. I randomly came across his profile on Twitter, and we built a relationship from there.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Ammo Studios had a high standard of quality and an eye for design. Moreover, it was great to see our vision come to life. Their design team started the mock-up process with what we wanted and then began designing how things would look. They took a systematic approach to design, so they executed pretty quickly in terms of turning a design into something live on the website.

Additionally, we received many compliments and achieved a higher conversion rate for our call to action.

How did Ammo Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was excellent. They were on time with everything, and the communication was good. We communicated via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They balanced the aesthetics with what is functional to achieve the goal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could spend more time showing more concepts during the process; it’d be nice to have more options.

Communication is key. The more information you give them, the better they’ll execute. Ammo Studios is great at turning ideas into reality, but you must ensure they understand exactly what you’re looking for.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I spoke with many vendors and heard about Ammo through a friend on Twitter. Saw their work and it looked like the best quality and the team was very easy to communicate with.

Had some early calls to discuss the idea and what I wanted in the project. We then started the low fidelity rendering and submitted our content in their drawn up parts of the design. From there we received the high fidelity and worked on any changes. It was fast and easy.

We had a slack channel so a few members of the team were there to supprt.

The tools they used and process was very easy. I would normally just put everything on a google doc but they were able to keep the flow very easy so that the process was efficient and all items came across as we needed.
