I’m the owner of LifeCare Mobility Solutions, a home medical equipment company. We mostly cater to the senior population in the greater Toronto area of Ontario, Canada, where we’re located. The population in this area of our country is pretty dense, and a lot of them are seniors. We primarily sell stairlifts, which help people get from one floor to another.
What challenge were you trying to address with Let’s get Optimized?
Most of our leads come from Google Ads, and we engaged Let’s get Optimized (LGO) to manage our paid search as well as SEO for our company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially engaged LGO to help us with SEO and our organic rankings. They’ve worked on our keyword rankings, so that when someone searches for key terms like ‘stairlift’ and ‘Toronto,’ we have a better chance of showing up first in search results. LGO also helps us with PPC; they manage our Google Ads.
About four months ago, I let our LGO representative Carla (VP of Client Services) know that we were thinking about doing a website refresh, as we hadn’t done one in 5–6 years. I asked Carla if she knew anyone who could provide these services, and she said that LGO could. They’re currently doing a full web redevelopment.

I found them by searching for SEO companies in Toronto, and LGO came up right away. They optimize their own search, which is a good sign. They had great reviews as well.
I’d previously engaged another company, and it was a bad experience. I didn’t have time to manage the engagement, so I gave LGO a three-month trial to improve our search engine leads. They exceeded my expectations, and I’ve been with them ever since.

LGO is very good. At the beginning of each month, Carla sends us reports that lay out the previous month’s performance on Google and other great metrics, such as ROI and cost-per-lead. Carla responds to any question that I have, and she gets on the phone with me whenever necessary. She answers my emails very quickly.

There’s a family business component to LGO — they pay attention to their customers, and they’re very responsive. That’s key when you want answers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should just continue to do what they’re doing and improving on it. SEO and Google Ads are a bit of a black art, and some months are higher than others. We’re always trying to improve. I’ve increased my ad spend with Google based on LGO’s recommendations, and what they’ve told me is true.

I’ve referred a few friends of mine that are business owners. I explained that because LGO is small, they’re agile and able to react to the specific requirements of different businesses. When we first launched in 2018, we hired Let’s Get Optimized to develop our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Let’s Get Optimized developed our website in WordPress. At the beginning of the project, we provided an overview of our business and provided content. Then they fine-tuned it and came up with a design for the website.
They’re also providing SEO and PPC services. We went over what our target audience searches for when they’re looking for childcare services. Then they helped us figure out what we needed to include on the website. Let’s Get Optimized gave us a lot of advice on how to target certain keywords.
What is the team composition?
I first worked with David (President & Managing Partner), but Carla (VP of Client Services) has been my main contact. We’ve been in touch with other people from their team.
How did you come to work with Let’s Get Optimized?
We were in touch with a few companies before choosing them, but David was the most humble and pragmatic. Other companies we considered told us they’d get us to the top 10 search results within a couple of months and we didn’t find that realistic. David was very forthcoming in showing us websites they’d worked on and listing clients we could talk to. I really liked the website designs they’d done.
How much have you invested with them?
They recognized that we were a new business, and they allowed us to spread out the development cost in the first year. We’re paying them around $750 per month for digital marketing and website management, and we were paying them $1,300 per month in the first year. We’re spending less on PPC now than we were initially.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Let’s Get Optimized in June 2018 and the website was running by September of that year. Now they provide ongoing maintenance support.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They got us to the top five of Google results. Now around 75% of our inquiries are coming through the website, and that figure is only increasing.
They’ve given us valuable suggestions to make our site more dynamic as well. For example, they’ve recommended we start a blog. Although we haven’t gone that route yet, it’s something we want to do.
How did Let’s Get Optimized perform from a project management standpoint?
Initially, David was our point person and Carla came in after that. We’re in touch on a monthly basis but we can contact them beyond that if we need to. We haven’t used any tools, but they’ve always taken care of everything we need. A lot of the work gets done through email, and we have monthly phone calls.
They also managed our expectations well. We obviously wanted to be in the top 10 immediately, but they outlined a more realistic timeframe.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate their professionalism more than anything else. Let’s Get Optimized is straightforward with us; they’re realistic and they tell us exactly how things work. In the past, we worked with companies that promised the sun and the moon and didn’t deliver. With Let’s Get Optimized, it was the other way around.

I can’t think of anything. There’s nothing I could suggest for them to improve.

Clients should do their research and check things out before hiring a new partner. The best thing is to stay away from companies that overpromise. Let's Get Optimized is professional and does everything right.

I’m a marketing specialist at Quest Audio Visual. Pre-pandemic, we focused on live events. Since the pandemic began, we’ve refocused to offer clients virtual opportunities and solutions. We create a hybrid of live and virtual studios in our warehouse. A minimal amount of people can come in and host events, and then they webcast the event.
This refocus came with new targeting and marketing, and I was brought on in August 2020 to help with that transition. As I got more comfortable in my role, the CEO of Quest AV expressed interest in being more focused on SEO. He didn’t have time to make sure that everything was on par with what we wanted and our goals, especially with our company’s shift. I was tasked with being more hands-on with our SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?
I recently took over my company’s SEO, so I set up a meeting with Carla (VP of Client Services). This one-on-one was more than I thought it would be. She walked through the monthly reports they send and offered advice on potential opportunities. She also let me know what little things I can do each month to meet our goals, versus where she’d come in and offer her expertise on what we should be doing.
Part of our SEO plan is page optimization. I recently created a WordPress page on our website that explains what we do for people who want to host virtual events. Carla went through the page with me and told me what to look for in terms of tags and code. She also ensured the content included certain keywords and offered little insider tips, such as limiting the header’s character count to ensure optimal display on Google.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be in touch with Carla about page optimizations. Once the page is completed, we’ll go over what else we can do to optimize it. LGO is going to audit our website’s usability and functionality to ensure it complies with how Google indexes sites and sets top pages.

I’m the e-commerce business manager at an e-commerce company that specializes in stock and custom packaging. We really needed someone to increase our digital presence. With so much competition out there, it was challenging for us to be seen and heard.

Let’s get Optimized provides content creation services. They offer advice and direction on where to take our content. I work closely with Carla (VP of Client Services), and she provides and uploads a lot of our content. She creates a content calendar, gets the blogs written, creates backlinks, and optimizes each blog.

We worked with Carla when she was in a previous role. I really loved working with her, so we moved some of our budget over to Let’s get Optimized. It’s all about the people you work with, and once you have that kind of relationship with somebody, you don’t break it. We’ve spent so much time developing this brand together, and we have a plan in place.

We began working with Let’s get Optimized whenever Carla began working there. It’s been at least a year-and-a-half.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Because my team is relatively small, Let’s get Optimized’s work takes a lot off of our plates. I know that they’re doing the work correctly based on the numbers. We get a lot of hits and visits onto our blog, which then filter through to our website. I don’t keep track of too many metrics, but I do make sure that our blogs are ranking. Each month, I check which pages are doing well, and it always seems like our blogs are bringing in the most amount of traffic.
I’ve worked with a lot of other SEO companies, and I have a digital marketing background. I’ve also spoken to people who run SEO companies and compared advice. So far, Let’s get Optimized has been the best provider I’ve been able to find, especially for content creation. I’ve tried to hire freelancers and an in-house person, but they didn’t work out because the quality of their work wasn’t great. I’ve never had any issues with Let’s get Optimized. I don’t need to pick their work apart because I can trust that it’s done correctly.
How did Let’s get Optimized perform from a project management standpoint?
Carla filters everything from us through to her team, which makes it a lot easier for me; I can’t keep another team straight. One of the issues that I’ve had with other companies in the past is that I’ve had to manage my team as well as theirs. However, that isn’t the case with Let’s get Optimized.
Carla knows that I need the added support, so she really does help me; she acts as the gatekeeper between our teams. She knows me and what I like, and she knows how to get the job done.

Their customer service is exceptional. The way that they handle their clients is outstanding — I’ve never worked with a better company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. They could expand their services, but that’s not a fault of their own — I’d rather someone be good at what they do than offering a lot of services that they’re not good at. I feel like when Let’s get Optimized offers a service, it’s because they’ve perfected it. A lot of other companies tend to offer everything, but they’re not great at everything. Let’s get Optimized seems to be great at everything they offer.
Any advice for potential customers?
Spend time talking to them. Tell them exactly what you want and like, and ask them for advice. What you think will work might not, so you need to have open communication at all times. Sometimes, I think I have a great idea, but Carla will prove to me why it won’t work, or she’ll take my idea and spin it so it does work.

I’m the owner and managing partner of a personal injury law firm called Ristich Law. We focus our services in the greater Toronto area.
What challenge were you trying to address with Let's get Optimized?
As with most big cities, Toronto is a very competitive market, but we’re only a small office with a defined budget and relatively new history. Our challenge was to figure out a way to compete with established law firms that were literally pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars toward their SEO, web design, and marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Let’s get Optimized supports our web design and digital marketing needs. When I initially met with them to go over my budget, they devised a marketing plan that would help us make an impact in our community.
One of the first things that they did was to focus more on our local suburb — specifically Etobicoke, which has about 500,000 people and boarders three other major areas. Their team redesigned my website and changed my headline to be “Personal Injury Lawyer Etobicoke, Toronto.” This allowed me to better focus on our target demographic: those who lived within a 10–20 kilometer range of our office.
The site redesign also involved ensuring that we didn’t have any broken links, getting the site to load quickly, and making everything more attractive. Let’s get Optimized improved our content and really homed in on getting people engaged to stay on our pages. There’s also a contact form on each page so that there’s no mistake about how to get in touch with us.
Recently, I decided to expand my budget a bit, so we opted to start a monthly blog. Now, one of their writers drafts a blog and sends it to me to edit and approve. How did you come to work with Let's get Optimized?
I found them through searching online — what better way to find an SEO company than through online search? I reached out to 10 companies to gauge the level of their responsiveness and ask them questions. I eliminated certain ones right away because they were out of our budget. Others excluded themselves because they were dealing with our competitors.
However, from the first minute that I spoke with Trevor and David, they were willing to set up a call to hear what I was looking for, get a sense of my budget, and formulate a plan. One of the things that struck me right away was that they knew my business. Even though they were SEO experts, they already knew how competitive personal injury was near me because they’d worked in the space before.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve invested between $15,000–$20,000 CAD (approximately $12,00–$15,500 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
This is an ongoing engagement that started in May 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project has been quite successful. Before Let’s get Optimized was involved, we basically had no internet presence. Now, if a prospective client were to search for a personal injury lawyer in Etobicoke, we’d appear on the first page.
We signed half a dozen new clients this past year as a direct result of our website, which, in the personal injury world, could potential yield fees upward of $200,000 CAD (approximately $156,000 USD). That more than pays for the investment into SEO. Keep in mind that 2020 was the year of the pandemic where fewer people were out in the world getting into accidents. We had a good year in terms of getting site traffic and converting them into clients, all things considered.
How did Let's get Optimized perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re fantastic. Each month, Carla provides a Google Analytics report that tells me what the traffic looks like, and we’ll set up a call if we need to discuss what’s happening. I might reach out and let her know that I noticed something, and she’ll respond within a couple of hours to address the problem right away. As for deadlines, they’ve met each one.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The two things that set them apart for me was that they didn’t care that I wasn’t the biggest fish in the pond and that they liked that I viewed this partnership as a long-term SEO project. I don’t know how long this business will go, but I’d like to be using the same company far into the future. And, they viewed us in the same way.
I also felt comfortable with them because they understood my business and had a plan. They were able to set expectations and goals for my business through SEO and web design, and they’ve lived up to that. They see that, as my business grows, then my SEO and website needs will grow, and we’ll both continue to benefit from each other.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t this so. I’m 100% satisfied with them, and I don’t say that easily.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have an idea of what your goals, expectations, and plan are, and Let’s get Optimized will come through. I was pretty strict about my budget and expectations, and that’s what’s helped us stay aligned.
Since Let’s get Optimized came on board, the site has ranked highly on SERPs. As a result, they’ve successfully attracted many new customers. They communicate with the client regularly and provide monthly updates on the project. They work efficiently to complete their tasks.
