This was a campaign focusing on a specific product of our BA, with the goal to not just educate our audience about the game-changing product/technology landscape, but also to raise awareness about our knowledge and technology leadership in the space. 
Together with HD, we produced a compelling landing page, through which we served up a lead generation magnet, as well as key visuals and ad copy for our paid advertising across Linked-In.

I worked for an insurance company. My role when I started working with Human Digital was principal of the Climate Adaptive Program, one of our climate projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with Human Digital?

We needed external skill sets regarding creative design focused on service design. We also needed help identifying what our customer needs were. Working inside the business, we thought we knew our customers. Still, we wanted to hire someone external who could help us identify our blind spots and ensure that the projects we were running were producing products that our customers actually wanted.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Human Digital provided us with design services, which included design workshops to understand our customer needs. Initially, we provided them with a lot of information, including project briefs and documents of the research we had already conducted.

Additionally, Ben (Global Strategy Director) sat with us for a couple of weeks to understand our team and our customers.

I only worked with Ben.

How did you come to work with Human Digital?

Human Digital was already working with my company in another area when this project arose. Therefore, our service design team recommended them.

How much have you invested with them?

We paid Human Digital per day. The daily rate was around $1,200, and they worked with us three days a week. However, their involvement sometimes fluctuated, so I don’t know how much we spent in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around mid-2021, and the project took a year and a half to complete.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We really learned a lot from Human Digital about understanding our customer needs from a service design perspective, which ultimately helped us upscale our business.

How did Human Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

I can only talk about Ben, who was the one working closely with us, and I know that we would have hired him in a heartbeat. He delivered work on time and within budget.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Ben understood our business very quickly, so we really leaned on him. He was a key member of the project team. Overall, he was an incredible service designer and an incredible facilitator, as it was very easy to work with him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, working with Human Digital was great. Ben was wonderful to engage with and did what we hired him to do and more.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing they could have improved on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have the budget to hire an external consultant, do it. It’s well worth it to have an external perspective to come in and assess your customer needs, as the result is extremely valuable.

After a kick off meeting, they helped us identify the best audiences to target on Ins and FB. They have created a posting schedule, design and write content for us. They use google analytics, which let us track our online traffic data.They also created and managed our instagram ads.

Our website traffic increased within the first 3 months by 150%. Our sales also increased a lot.

We met online weekly bases to go over the post schedule for the week and review our ad performance. They'd also give us reports that track sales from our Instagram ads, audience engagement Instaqram impressions,and more. For communication, we usually talked over email and phone.

We were impressed by the quality of our followers. They're attracting people who are interested in our product instead of just increasing our numbers.

We are a 30+ year old company and have still been operating using the same logo and branding since establishment. This also includes the website which was very information heavy and still operated off an old html format and was not a secure site. We were looking for a brand that better represented our current product mix and our global operations rather than being so New Zealand focused.

We were looking for a company which understood our brief and shared our design aesthetic, but who also had the skills and experience to help undertake a deeper dive into both internal and external stakeholders views and requirements of what would be the most beneficial approach going forward. Human Digital were closely aligned in this vision.

This was essentially 2 projects in 1. The first project was the rebranding of our business which started with an exploratory process of reviewing how we saw our business internally, but also interviewing external stakeholders to see how these views aligned with reality. Human Digital undertook development of the questionnaire and collating results to help shape the brand and then came up with several design options including logo, font, colour and design.

Once this had been finalised we start the new website development. Throughout the process we had weekly check in meetings to cover off all developments over the previous week and obtain feedback and shape the week ahead.

We worked with 4 people from there team, 1 Account/Project Manager, 1 Creative, 1 Digital Designer and 1 Technical Design

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered a new brand incl Logos, colour schemes, marketing and packaging materials and design aesthetics to be used towards images and video content. A new website was also created that is both PC & device friendly that is modern and easy to use.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Regular weekly check-ins made the process very smooth and ensured good communication of what was needed from both parties, what delivery dates would be, and to-do lists for the week ahead.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Frequent contact and discussions to ensure briefs were being met and queries were being resolved quickly to ensure delivery times could be met. Early notifications of any delays etc so we were all on the same page about delivery timelines. They spent time understanding our business and what would be most beneficial for us going forward, as well as trying to uncover other tools that could benefit us that weren't necessarily included as part of the brief.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A few glitches are always to be expected when implementing something of this scale with multiple updates required so while a negative response times were always fast and efficient to rectify.

We wanted to create a website for our Subsidiary brand Lucky's Coffee. Allowing the brand to have an online presence and a portal for customers to order from.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I approached quite a few vendors to help with our main website and to create a new one for our sister company. And decided Human Digital would be the perfect fit for the Sister website as they were eager to get started. incredibly helpful and I found them very personable.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a baseline meeting to discuss my goals for the Lucy's website. And then from there they set about collecting all the relevant information from the brand. And then we had frequent progress and update meetings (organised by them) to make sure that I was onto of everything and that it was all running to schedule.

From there they put together a Shopify page for us and presented me with a few design and style iterations. Once one was chosen they put it into place and then made sure they helped us facilitate the launch and smooth running of the new website.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After the site launched we have heard that exiting customers of the brand have been pleased to see that there is an online presence and substance to the brand that they know. And the staff here at Havana have been happy with the results that they can now use as a platform to help promote the brand further.

We had Weekly meetings to make sure that we were all on the same page and tracking correctly. With Actions posted after each meeting and followed up regularly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their communication, Effort and desire to stay on target and deliver the result when promised. I also was very impressed with how helpful and personable they were to work with. As someone who is juggling a myriad of projects they made this one a breeze for me.

As far as I'm concerned they hit it out of the park. Nothing as of yet has prompted any thoughts of what could have been done better.

I’m the head of marketing and communications for ABB, one of the largest engineering companies in the world. We operate in over 100 countries and have around 150,000 employees. Human Digital is helping us with digital and social media marketing. They handle everything — they give us advice on campaign optimization, key messaging, and market positioning. 

Human Digital has integrated our campaigns to a Google dashboard, identifying clicks, impressions, clickthrough rates, and conversions. We study the figures and implement improvements monthly. They’ve also done a detailed report about our competitor landscape and campaign growth.

Human Digital’s digital marketing activities have achieved a 200% ROI last year. Notably, they’ve helped us secure a $1 million deal with a petrol company. Their efforts have also contributed to various deals and sales-qualified leads. They’ve generated over two million impressions throughout our partnership.

Our teams in Australia, Taiwan, Indonesia, and other countries are also considering to work with Human Digital — that’s a testament to how well they fit in our organization. 

How did Human Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Human Digital is excellent at project management — I’ve been in the industry for 14 years and never had a better experience. Their communication style is outstanding. We have monthly catch-ups to go through overall campaign results. We also have weekly meetings to discuss tasks for the 20 campaigns we’re running at the moment. 

Human Digital is communicative, responsive, and reliable — I trust them. If I ask them to do something, they will accomplish it within the hour. In particular, Nick is outstanding to work with, and he’s very valuable in this partnership.

We collaborate through emails and Google Docs. We also have a dashboard that contains all the necessary information of our campaigns, which is helpful for me during management meetings. I can easily change details on our ads through a table. Human Digital’s processes are straightforward.

Nick’s enthusiasm and passion to help us succeed is impressive. He takes ownership of our projects, and he exerts so much effort to help us achieve our goals. 

Human Digital gives us special treatment, and it’s not like we’re just a regular customer — the results speak for themselves. They nurture us, hold our hands when we need explanations, and work hard to hit our targets. They’ve made great strides in helping us improve our organization.

Human Digital designed and developed our Shopify site from scratch. We first had a kickoff meeting where we discussed our goals with the team. Afterward, we had another meeting to talk about the design. They took a look at our competitors and their websites and presented their research.

Eventually, they moved on to the development phase. We already had a logo, so they only had to work on the color scheme and other design elements that reflected our brand. Human Digital also optimized the site and conducted user testing. Finally, we launched the website.
