What was the scope of their involvement?

Storm Brain provides SEO services for our company. We had a discovery call, during which we provided some of our competitors. The team has provided a long list of keywords that we've reviewed, and we've provided some preexisting keywords we had been using before. Storm Brain has researched and provided additional keywords.

The team has delivered a lot of data relevant to the keywords and Google keyword research. Based on that, we've had a workshop to assess each of those keywords. I've analyzed them and proposed my selection. Storm Brain has done additional research based on my questions, and we've ultimately compiled a list of keywords we want to run in our SEO program.

Storm Brain also provides PPC services, running LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Ads campaigns.

Storm Brain delivers on time and on budget. We communicate through emails and phone calls. They've created a dashboard on Google Sheets for us to track the project.

The project began with brand development, including the selection of brand colors and imagery (including custom logo design) for a new company brand.  Once we finalized the brand, the project scope next involved the creation (design, programing) of an entirely new company website replete with branding, video, a content library and links to resources.  Deliverables included the logo itself and the fully functional website (including hosting).

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The logo suited all of our branding and brand imagery needs.  The brand standards guidelines have been used for everything from signage to company office decor.  The website has driven solid traffic and has been a key marketing resource for our sales team.

Yes, project managers were tiered such that progress was measured consistently with full visibility on my part (as the client) in terms of next steps.  The deliverables were iterative with extensive feedback sessions to confrim and communicate alignment in terms of goals and output/results.  Responses were fast, accurate and actionable.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially underwent a branding exercise, working closely with Storm Brain to examine the current branding elements and decide what to maintain, what to add, and which brand attributes to convey. They guided us through that process and then developed potential new logos and brand identities to represent that.

We spent a fair amount of time working through that process, choosing a new brand identity and logo. Then, we moved into website design. We provided them with the website’s copy, and they did the design and development. The website included animation, lots of icons, and proprietary visuals.

Storm Brain’s work was incredibly high-quality. The website design was excellent and highly functional. Moreover, they took an undefined brand and followed our cues to make it something really tangible. They brought my vision to life, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Storm Brain's SEO services have led to a higher ranking in our targeted keywords. We now rank on the first page of results for some of our target markets, while before, we didn't appear on the first page. I want to congratulate the entire team.

How did Storm Brain perform from a project management standpoint?

Storm Brain communicates really well via email — they're the most responsive service provider I've worked with. When I require a task from Storm Brain,  they immediately help me and return with a quote and scope. Storm Brain's project management is seamless.

I like that Storm Brain doesn't try to sell me services I don't need, as I don't like hard sales. The team only recommends services we really need, and we almost always follow their recommendations.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Though we only went live recently, we’ve already had a meaningful increase in inquiries. Additionally, our overall web traffic has nearly doubled, and visitors remain on our site significantly longer than they did on our previously.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Storm Brain managed the project well. There were designated, shared folders for all the information and we had weekly phone meetings to review progress. We remained on the same page throughout the engagement, and their communication approach was effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their organization and communicative nature stood out to us. They had a strong focus on the project and produced a fantastic, impressive website.

Are there any areas for improvement?

It would have been helpful to have a custom manual for the backend of the site, created by the Storm Brain team. It may have made the process clearer, and I would've had fewer questions for their team. However, they were excellent at providing answers to make the complex aspects easier to understand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Storm Brain has been providing website design services for us. We’ve started working together on a project for a mutual customer, and that has moved to a full-blown relationship, including redesigning our website. The team has also worked closely with us to solve DNS issues and ensure everything is transitioning well.

Regarding the process, I’ve been directly involved with Blake (Founder & COO). He has reached out to me to let us know what we need for the project, and we’ve created a schedule. Blake has also helped us predict our DNS and migration needs with the domain to ensure the platform’s security. We’ve also coordinated with them for each task from both ends.

In terms of technologies, the team has used WordPress, a DNS hosting platform, Cloudflare, and a WAF. In addition, outside the scope of their work, there is an AI-based spam and content protection security system. That system has been triggered because we’ve also worked closely with them to ensure that the component of communication via email is working properly.

Currently, we’re also planning to go through a different new project with them for branding, involving content creation and design efforts.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We really like Storm Brain's website design work, which has come up smoothly and with no issues, so I'm very impressed. Regarding metrics, the project is still fresh since it usually takes 6–8 months to see real results. Still, we've noticed that our website is performing better and loading faster according to Google's score, which helps a lot with SEO because the slower the site, the slower Google's response is to take the site to the top of the list.

In terms of quality, Storm Brain's work has been very high-end and professional. Their deliverables are one of those things that amaze me and that I usually don't see for this type of service. In general, Storm Brain's design, creativity, and work quality are at a different level, a few steps beyond anyone else.

How did Storm Brain perform from a project management standpoint?

Storm Brain has completely delivered on time and within budget without surprises. Regarding tools and communication, we use email, phone calls, and text messages.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? 

Blake is an awesome guy who is very professional, always on time and to the point, and attends to our needs immediately. Whenever we get stuck, he replies within an hour or less. 

In addition, Blake always knows what he's talking about because he's been doing this for a long time, so he's really good. Overall, it's been a pleasure working with someone as professional as him, who pushes the project forward to finish it in a couple of weeks, which is impressive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Storm Brain's follow-up and responsiveness to our questions or requests have impressed me the most about their work. There's no drama and no fuss; they get the job done and do it usually in half a day, which is amazing. Kudos to the team for killing it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on. There hasn't been anything that I feel like they're missing.

Be responsive, on top of things, set expectations from the beginning, and be open to their suggestions. They're very creative and have a professional team that might come up with something that wasn't even on your radar.

Beyond the quality of their work, Storm Brain’s customer service is excellent. Their range of tasks is always changing, but they’ve been very dynamic in their roles, providing us with a range of options to accommodate our needs.

Storm Brain has excellent communication skills, and they treat everything as a top priority, so we never have to wait around for our content. Overall, they’re very efficient, have quick turnaround times, and always want to ensure we have everything we need from them.

Storm Brain always sends us a weekly report on the projects we have open with them, detailing which ones we need to close. Even when the deadlines are very tight, they always accommodate our needs.

Moreover, They’re on top of everything at all times. We’ve never experienced delays, as their team always stays very organized with the projects and workflows to avoid things slipping through the cracks.

When we create new marketing pieces, we sometimes meet with them over Zoom. Still, we also communicate via email so that we can send things on our time and they can get back to us as soon as they can; they’re very quick to respond to our requests.

In addition to that, having a single point of contact with Storm Brain has been great. Not talking to a new person every week has made us very consistent and efficient, allowing us to develop a relationship with our main contact point.
