We contracted Azuro Digital to build new/replacement sites for 7 existing sites owned by BlueSkyRisk, including a central BSR site and 6 program-specific sites (each focusing on a different niche sector within the insurance marketplace). Also, to construct one entirely new site for a new program launch. Their services included site construction, optimization, SEO, design, and assistance with content. They also helped us find a solution/construct a complex online application for one of our sites.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our distribution is largely grassroots via our broker network, so our expectation was never to drive a huge amount of business through our websites. Rather, they just needed to be professional, well-designed sites that gave potential clients the right impression about us. Azuro came through wonderfully here - we're very happy with the sites.

A stretch goal of actively driving submissions for programs through the sites was added mid-project, and Azuro proved up to the task. We've driven a significant amount of revenue through that application already. While SEO/client acquisition via the site was not a focus, our traffic numbers are also up.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Any delays were caused by us (we relied on different people to provide content/info for each site, and some were quite slow with the requests). Azuro always responded quickly and helpfully, and it would have been a much quicker project had we been more on top of it for certain sites. I'd also like to mention - we tacked on some relatively big functionality changes/additional content pieces mid-project, and Azuro helped us tackle them without a blink.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They (Daniel and the primary designer/developer assigned to our project, Kaylene) were just consistently helpful and excellent to work with. Much our communication was by email, and it was evident that they went out of their way to carefully read and understand messages as opposed to simply firing back a response. Our communications were always constructive and positive.

Additionally, I was very impressed with their flexibility in picking up additional requirements added mid-project.

We are a growing group of companies that specializes in the construction and operation of remote work camps. We had built the groundwork of a website, and we needed to structure the content that is our business' for public consumption. The scope was for design, branding, and content development for not only our website but customer communications to ensure our brand is consistent from website to paper.

Metrics included navigation, initial impressions, and content delivery. Consistent updates from the team at Azuro digital provided tangible progress updates. Throughout the project, there was consistent communication.

Our project was handled professionally with realistic timelines and timely updates. Our go live date was moved up significantly and the team was able to manage content consumption and updates in a timely manner in line with our goals. The website was completed on schedule and on budget.

Project updates on the contract value would be helpful in the future. While the contract was completed on budget, knowing how far into the project cost would allow for better use of content creation time spent.

Azuro Digital built our website from scratch. We initially reached out to them and had a couple of calls to understand the project. They asked many questions about our goals and how they could help us achieve them. Then, we moved forward, and they provided a ton of resources and access to their team to walk us through the process.

For the design, they gave us a couple of options based on their past work and then customized it to give the website a unique look. Azuro Digital did custom animations, images, and copy. The website’s purpose was to provide resources and details for our practitioners, clients, and potential clients.

Additionally, Azuro Digital guided us on SEO. They customized our content based on their SEO recommendations, did an in-depth analysis to improve the site, and worked on keyword research.

The project was to design and develop a new site in WordPress, refresh our logo, migrate some existing material to new site, help us visualize and bring to life our design ideas and provide honest feedback on our suggestions.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We conducted an extensive online search. We initially wanted a local company to take on the task, however, when I came across Azuro and saw their collective positive reviews and previous sites they had designed and developed, I asked them to bid on the project.

I compared 5 different companies for the job and thought Azuro gave the best overall impression, they were very efficient and had a great track record. Even though they were not local to us, we felt the most confident moving forward with them.

Introductory meetings with team and website copywriter. Create site map and page structure. Design new website, take some existing content and move to new site but mostly revamp entire site to be more modern, easier to navigate, and provide a better understanding for end user on what we do. We hired our own technical copywriter (we are in a niche business) and Azuro made all the design and development magic happen! Tasks included:

• Design our new site in WordPress, provide demonstrations and recordings for all the dynamic content updates so I can perform some of these changes ourselves in future
• Move to new hosting platform
• Continue maintenance and updates on the site for monthly fee
• Image/video sourcing
• Software integrations (include connecting to LMS and Constant Contact subscription)

We handed over all our content to Azuro and asked for it to be done within a tight timeframe (after some long delays!). They were open and honest in all communications and met the deliverables. We found them to be flexible with timing and very communicative and prompt with feedback/responses.

Cassandra refreshed our logo and provided a lot of iterations for us to choose from this was part of the initial scope and was delivered on time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are fast and efficient; Daniel is especially easy to do business with. I researched a number of companies before deciding to go with Azuro Digital. Daniel’s openness and technical aptitude (gets down to business, without all the waffle!) suits my style. They use a combination of tools – scheduling time with them is easily done online through scheduling system so I can choose a time that works for me.

They set up a shared folder in Google drive so we could easily upload and share materials. Cassandra created checklists for tasks and asked for feedback on items when our instructions were not clear. Cassandra made the whole process easy!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility, transparency and responsiveness. Any and all questions are answered, and they do all they can to keep their client happy. We are still making changes (after our site went live). Azuro Digital has been very accommodating to all our needs.

As with any big project, there were a couple of things that could have been done differently, these were discussed and handled with Daniel and Cassandra along the way. We are so proud and excited to begin sharing our shiny new website in the New Year. And we are very happy with Azuro Digital and would recommend them to anyone wanting a new or refreshed website. Communications Officer for an educational institution. Our website is a major part of our brand identity, and the Board's previous site was very outdated and needed a refresh. Azuro was able to provide a fresh design consistent with our brand guidelines, and we couldn't be happier with the results!

We began working on the project in August 2022, and just recently had our "soft launch" of the new site. We have had nothing but positive feedback!

We searched for web designers online and found Azuro to have amazing reviews. We reviewed some of their previous work that was available on their website, and decided to book a meeting with them to discuss our vision for the website. They were very responsive and able to meet with us within a few days of us reaching out.

After meeting, we didn't have much to discuss as we were certain they would be able to get the job done and make our vision of the new site come to life. We were able to receive a proposal within the next week, and met to discuss the details of the site. We then received our first draft of the design within a month which was fantastic!

We were looking to transfer a majority of the content from our previous site, to the new one. We did have to work through the outdated content and remove it completely. Cassandra was very helpful and ensured all the correct content was carried over. We met several times over the course of the project to discuss what had to be done. They were very quick to answer any emails with questions or requests that we had for the new site.

Cassandra started with providing us a first draft of the design and theme to make sure we liked it, and once approved, she was able to move into the other pages and various departments and schools that needed to be transferred over. She was able to completely modernize our site which was so refreshing for us to see. Cassandra also provided checklists for us so we knew what had to be done on our end for her to complete the project. This was extremely helpful as there was a lot to go through on the site, and having it broken down into a list helped us stay organized.

The website for our school Board has been completely modernized and was made to be much more user friendly than before. They also made sure we had all the necessary tools on our site, such as analytics and all the search engine optimization tools that were needed.

Azuro Digital offered the range of services and expertise we felt were required to develop the sort of website we needed, and they were very responsive to manifesting our vision in the process.

We held two initial discovery sessions with the President of Azuro Digital - Daniel - to learn about his company's capabilities and experience. We also gained an appreciation for Azuro Digital's approach to working with customers like us during those meetings. We then entered into a contractual arrangement with Azuro Digital to design and develop a new website for our DRS PhD Program.

We primarily worked with one designer/developer from Azuro Digital for the generation of our new website - Cassandra. We found Cassandra to be highly skilled, and very prompt in developing and adding to content to the website. Most importantly both Cassandra and Daniel were highly responsive to our preferences with respect to design, layout and content on the website. They made our visions come to fruition and their skills in doing so greatly enhanced the online appeal of our program!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We only launched our new website less than a month ago. Our primary short-term objective is to enhance submission of applications for admission into our PhD program in the fall of 2023. The deadline for submission of those applications is December 1, 2022. So it will only be after that deadline that we will have an indication of the success of the website in attracting applications.

The workflow between our team and the Azuro Digital team was excellent. As noted above, the Azuro Digital team was highly responsive to our needs and our preferences. They were very prompt and cooperative in responding to any of our requests.

We were impressed with multiple facets of the website design and development service provided by Azuro Digital including

We prepared a statement of work and ran a selection competitive process. Azuro Digital was chosen based on our assessment of best value for money.

We held initial brainstorming sessions with Azuro to go over issues with our old site and to clarify our needs. Daniel, the founder and owner of Azuro came back with a tremendous design concept geared to our context and our seniors. Once we had agreement on the design, Azuro started building our new site right away. We met frequently with Daniel to review progress and make adjustments.

We worked directly with Daniel, the owner and founder of Azuro Digital, who personally oversaw the development of our new website. Having this direct contact with Daniel was a significant factor in our success.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our new website went live on June 14, 2022 and the feedback so far has been very positive. We are very proud of it.

Daniel is a good project manager and very responsive to client requirements and changes. He always made himself available to Zoom with us, even on short notice. Azuro made updates and changes promptly, usually within 24 hours. Daniel developed several videos to explain website features and processes and now we use these videos as training tools. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Daniel and Azuro are committed to professionalism and great customer service. We were most impressed by the unlimited revisions and meetings available to us throughout the project. Daniel is very knowledgeable in his field and he is also very willing to research new technologies to meet particular needs. We were also very impressed with the speed with which Daniel responded to our requests for updates and changes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

For the future, with client teams new to this type of work, we suggest a review of their timelines to be sure they are realistic and specifically address content loading, archiving and old site shutdown. We realize now that our initial schedule was overly ambitious. However, we very much appreciate that Daniel and Azuro were able to adapt their schedules to help us.
