Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The scope of work outlines the end-to-end delivery of a new, fully integrated website for Colmore BID, designed to serve both levy payers and the public by improving visibility of BID value and enhancing user engagement. The project is structured across four phases: strategy, design/UX, development, and testing/launch, and includes planning user journeys, creating a branded and responsive design system, and building a WordPress-based platform with key features such as a interactive map, event ticketing, and AI-powered search. It also covers system integrations (e.g. BIDbase, Loqiva, Visit Birmingham), content management setup, and compliance requirements (accessibility, SEO, GDPR). Key deliverables include a strategy report, wireframes and final designs, a fully functional and integrated website, staging and testing outputs, CMS training and documentation, and final deployment with ongoing hosting and maintenance support.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Traffic data confirmed that the focus on the events was justified. User feedback, on look and usibility. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project management was highly effective throughout, with clear communication, structured phases, and regular check-ins ensuring the project stayed on track despite a tight turnaround. Deliverables were completed on time, and the team remained responsive and proactive at every stage. Louise in particular was exceptionally supportive and attentive, consistently going above and beyond to accommodate requirements and ensure everything was delivered smoothly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out most was their genuine care and attention to the project - they were clearly invested in its success rather than simply tracking time or billing hours. They were highly accommodating throughout, consistently responsive to queries, and took a collaborative approach that made the whole process feel like a true partnership.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Squibble could have done differently?

No, they were great from start to finish.

I am the Senior Marketing Manager at a nonprofit organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Squibble?

We needed a partner to design and build a new website for our organization. The goal was to create a site that would better serve our users, improve navigation, and support our company objectives.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Squibble managed the entire process from discovery through to launch. We began with multiple discovery sessions to outline our objectives and develop a navigation structure. Using Figma, they then produced low-fidelity wireframes, followed by high-fidelity wireframes and designs, all created in modular blocks for flexibility. The team gave us the different blocks so that we could build each page. The team also designed all the pages. Squibble assisted with content loading and handled the website build using WordPress and testing phases as well.

What is the team composition?

Since the project had been ongoing for some time, the team changed. For the last year, I worked with Jake as an account manager, Louise was our developer, and Amy was our designer.

How did you come to work with Squibble?

My manager at the time searched for local website design agencies in the Midlands, and that’s how we found Squibble.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around £80,000–£90,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in April 2024 and concluded in August 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website has only been live for a short time, so we are still collecting data. We expect to see a reduction in low-quality call volumes as users are able to self-serve more effectively. To measure success, we are also tracking metrics such as the number of pages viewed, time on page, and bounce rates. 

When one of the websites went live, there was an issue with a functionality that wasn't working, even though it had worked in all the testing environments. Squibble worked on it straight away, and it was sorted by the end of the day. This was an unforeseen issue, and they got around to it very quickly and were very responsive. The team did a great job in the design phase. 

How did Squibble perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was primarily via email with Jake or directly with Louise. We used our own project management tools, including a shared Google document where we could both work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by their flexibility and accommodating approach, while still maintaining a thorough approach. Usually, when people are thorough, they aren't very flexible, whereas Squibble was both. If we said we couldn't do something in a particular way or we needed to change something, they always said yes. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There wasn't much that needed improvement. The one area where we had to do some additional work was accessibility, which is a higher priority for us than it would be for most of Squibble's clients. While the majority of the build was really good, there were just some areas that needed improvement in terms of accessibility.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would give potential customers my blessing and tell them to work with Squibble. They were very good.

I’m the e-commerce manager for a leading UK flooring distributor.

What challenge were you trying to address with Squibble?

We needed help with website design and development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Squibble is responsible for designing and developing four WordPress websites from scratch. They have completed three of them. The websites are for end consumers and retailers. Users can shop our range of products and order samples. Recently, we've launched a feature where customers can send a quotation inquiry to a retailer.

Squibble also provides hosting, maintenance, and support services. The team has implemented WooCommerce into the sites to help with our sample orders.

What is the team composition?

We work with three developers, including Louise. We have an account manager, Jake, and we've also spoken to Kim, the owner.

How did you come to work with Squibble?

Our previous head of marketing had worked with Squibble before and was impressed with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between £50,000 and £200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since July 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Squibble has improved the user journey of our sample ordering process, driving valuable leads to our retailers.

How did Squibble perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is great to work with. They communicate via face-to-face meetings, video calls, and a ticketing system. Squibble is always on budget. They use Jira to manage the project and log tickets.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Squibble is extremely valuable and responsive. When there's an issue or a task, they're really quick to respond and help. The team is design-led and spends a lot of time on the strategy element. Squibble takes the time to understand and learn about our audience. The team's designs are refreshing, taking inspiration from different markets and audiences.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Squibble is always looking for improvements and is open to working with our other digital agencies. The team is very collaborative.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent and open. Give Squibble as much information as possible about your audience and the market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Squibble provided us with a new, refreshed website, including a members' area and LMS. The site has learning modules, the ability to purchase online, and searchable resources. 
We've had to pay more for Squibble to develop APIU and workarounds, and it's still in progress.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–4 members of the Squibble team.

How did you come to work with Squibble?

We put out an RFP and found Squibble through an internet search. They seemed to get our brief, represented value for money, and could meet our timelines.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2025, and the website launched in April 2025. The engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Squibble met the launch timelines and website deliverables as set out in the RFP. However, we've had to work on backend reporting fixes post-launch, so we've been slower to evaluate than we'd like.

How did Squibble perform from a project management standpoint?

Squibble was responsive. We worked together to improve the proactiveness of their project management and communications. As this was a new area for us, we'd have liked more advice on scoping out the user journey and data requirements. We primarily communicate via email and meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Squibble was lovely to deal with, responsive, and keen to help.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been helpful if Squibble had been more active in drawing out our user journey and data/reporting needs.
