I don’t know what they used on their end, but to communicate with me we used email and Google Docs because you could document everything and have a bullet point list of what needed to be done. If I needed to call them, I could have. If I sent them an email, more than likely it was returned on the same day. One of the biggest issues with hiring a firm overseas is the communication barrier: not only can you get higher quality products in the US, but the communication is ten times better.

However, the company has to pay those costs no matter what because everything’s a subscription model, so CAL IT Group is on point with the price. Understand the IT costs and that CAL IT Group isn’t out here to gouge you. You’ll have overhead costs that are merely overhead costs that every company has to pay for. CAL IT Group will do everything they can to make your monthly rate as budget-friendly as possible so you both feel good about it.

As for communication tools, we use email and Microsoft Teams. For example, thanks to the wireless network project, our network throughput and access have improved dramatically. We’ve gone from a 200 Mbps internet throughput to over one Gbps throughput while saving money through the process.

He has over seven years of experience with Salesforce, and as someone with none, he was an amazing resource to me. This is the first time I’ve been through this type of build-out, but I would say that their team is full of effective communicators. It’s a massive undertaking to build out a Salesforce system for businesses. Their team was also great at listening to our feedback and implementing it incredibly quickly. The team at CloudMasonry is full of active workers. Each week, we met to test and discuss the feedback, and then within the next week, they made the changes.

5.0 Oct 15, 2020Management of eMazzanti’s tech staff seems very tight. Carl has trained them exceptionally well and they are knowledgeable. We’ve come to know them and have a good relationship. They’re always accessible and friendly. Carl’s people generally have the ability to speak layman in a tech environment. Ervis is probably the best at that. And eMazzanti has a ticketing system that is quite effective. There are a few hiccups here and there, but on the whole, it’s a positive experience; it’s collaborative. He is very accessible and will get back to you very quickly. If there is a problem that requires access to his time, he grants it. That has been one of the primary drivers of our long-term relationship that’s important to me.

5.0 Jul 14, 2022In order to ensure this change felt on brand, they also worked with us to use custom recordings and custom hold music rather than a robot voice and generic music. This final bit may sound like a minor detail, but for a vintage guitar store with finicky customers who have loads of other places to take their business if desired, it makes all the difference, and IT Goat went above and beyond to ensure these updates to the phones didn't scare customers away. They've set me up with admin permissions on our Microsoft account, so I can quickly take care of simple change myself like a forced password reset for an employee, the initial phases of onboarding/offboarding employees, etc. I previously had to contact our MSP in the UK for this and often wait overnight for an update.

They don’t just deliver cookie-cutter training; they take the time to understand our needs and build custom sessions (2 per year) that are not only relevant today but will also serve as a long-term resource for staff onboarding. We receive a monthly training calendar via email at the beginning of each month and then weekly reminders for the upcoming session that week. Every training session is delivered on time, and it's live and interactive to give us the opportunity to ask questions and really learn hands-on. They’re also proactive in updating content to keep up with evolving technology (like using AI tools) and cybersecurity threats. Their responsiveness and commitment to making sure our team truly benefits from the training set them apart.
