We were in need of changing our managed IT services provider.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Desktop support, special projects, security monitoring, policy writing, employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective, and more through weekly onsite visits and daily remote support.

The team includes support techs, system engineers, senior system engineers, rapid response engineers, solutions architects, and principal consultant.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The engagement has allowed my organization to establish strong IT and security policies, transition from physical phones to Microsoft Teams calling services, develop SharePoint sites, provide reliable hardware and software support to staff, and much more.

How did ISOutsource perform from a project management standpoint?

For each project, they provided a clear scope, timeline, accurate cost estimate, and outline of team roles, and they completed the project timely and on budget.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

David (Managing Governance, Risk Management & Compliance Consultant, Project Management Officer Manager)  is amazing and helps us write policies. He also helps with our self-assessments. Jeffrey (Engineer, Productivity Apps Specialist) is impressive, too, and used to help with in-person support before he was promoted.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Having a principal consultant assigned as our main point of contact has been invaluable. Especially when a time-sensitive issue arises that requires immediate assignment to a specialist.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It has been clear that ISOutsource continuously works to improve their services. I don't have any to offer here.

I suggest having a main point of contact that understands your organization's mission and needs.

The GRC team assists us with our annual compliance project which includes with deliverables we need to remain in compliance for our yearly audits. This includes but is not limited to our annual vendor audit, policy and process reviews, risk management, Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery testing, penetration test, and self-assessment. They also assist us with our audits.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our yearly audits are easier to complete with very few or no remediation items.

Our GRC project manager is highly knowledgeable and responsive. Items are delivered on time with little need for follow up.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our GRC project manager is excellent at finding a balance between teaching you what you need to know and allowing you to take over and complete things yourself and being an excellent resource and completing things for you.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ISOutsource could have done differently?

Since this project repeats each year, it's a bit hard to judge. We adjust the project slightly with what hours get assigned to what buckets based on what we learned from the prior year. Overall, I'm very happy with how everything has been handled.

ISOutsource managed the equipment and network infrastructure move from our existing office space to the new office space. This included network diagramming, wireless access point evaluation heat mapping, server room space programming, cooling load analysis, coordination with AV vendor, and management of procuring a new internet service while also troubleshooting secondary service options due to delays from service providers.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We did this move over the duration of a weekend and had service back up and running Monday morning for staff to access the network.

Yes, they delivered on time. Our staff were able to access the network on time after the move. They respond in a timely manner and keep our team notified about their progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

When dealing with another company for AV installation, ISOutsource stepped up coordination with this company to assist in bridging the gap in getting their equipment connected to our network. ISOutsource rolled with many unexpected changes from them and helped us get to the point of a great end result.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ISOutsource could have done differently?

I would say ISOutsource could improve on its project budgeting. They underestimated the time and sometimes the quantity cost for portions of this project.
