What challenge were you trying to address with Centerpoint IT?

We needed Microsoft Azure assistance and other IT support. We used to have a bigger team and since we downgraded, Centerpoint IT supports us to have a more robust team. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Centerpoint IT provides off-site managed IT services. The team offers Microsoft Azure assistance and Microsoft 365 support. I contact Centerpoint IT whenever I have issues with Microsoft Azure. The team has helped us with backend network configuration for our Microsoft Azure service to work. Centerpoint IT has reviewed our Microsoft Azure environment and pointed out things we don't require, downsizing and cleaning our server.

The team also monitors our computers using NinjaOne, an application that allows the monitoring of different equipment since we have stores across the country. Centerpoint IT ensures our computers have the required Microsoft Windows, validates encrypted data using BitLocker, and updates HIPAA compliance. The team also provides troubleshooting and tutorials via NinjaOne. 

Additionally, we recently acquired a company, and Centerpoint IT supports us in incorporating them into our profile systems and merging our companies. 

What is the team composition?

We mostly work with Sanjay (Senior Cloud Engineer) and Tyler (Chief Security Officer). I also work with Centerpoint IT's president.

I contacted Centerpoint IT through a referral.

We've spent close to $100,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Centerpoint IT in January 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our network uptime is always on the ball. We had an issue with GoDaddy one weekend, and our site went down. Centerpoint IT was gracious enough to fix it. We have a good working relationship, and Centerpoint IT delivers good quality work. The team takes the time to ensure they're providing the best service and product. 

If there's something Centerpoint IT doesn't know how to do, they're transparent and tell me it's not on their scope. This happened to me once when I asked about Salesforce, and I appreciated Centerpoint IT telling me it wasn't in their services and not wasting my time and money. Centerpoint IT has been instrumental in helping us downsize and have cost savings in Microsoft Azure. We've saved over $3,000 in three months. 

How did Centerpoint IT perform from a project management standpoint?

Centerpoint IT is very diligent about time. The team meets deadlines and stays within budget. We communicate via email and Microsoft Teams. Centerpoint IT is very responsive and resolves things quickly when we've had issues with GoDaddy. The team responds quickly to support tickets.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Tyler and Sanjay are great to work with. They're friendly and answer all our questions. If they don't have an answer, they investigate it for me. We have certain hours allocated monthly, and if Centerpoint IT doesn't know something, they won't charge me extra for that work. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Centerpoint IT's customer service skills distinguish them. I've worked with other service providers that were rude and disrespectful. Centerpoint IT's team is always spot-on and as nice as they can be — their business model and knowledge base is vast.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for Centerpoint IT to improve. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest being forthcoming with Centerpoint IT and providing as much information as you can. The more information you provide to the team, the quicker and easier it will be for them to help you.
