      What I really loved was that they are a relatively small shop, but very knowledgeable and experienced. I found a lot of value-add throughout the project where I would say, “I want to do this,” and they would say, “Well, you may not want to do that” or “You may not want to do it this way or that way.” They would come up with several different options for me or suggestions or reasons why maybe I shouldn’t do something, which was totally fine.       I had the most experienced person there working on our behalf, working with me closely. For the expertise that I got and innovative thinking, I think the price was low compared to what I have paid in the past for implementations and project management that weren’t nearly as pleasant. I’ve worked on a lot of sites before with vendors, and it’s just been a nightmare.

The project was great because Chris wasn’t emotionally attached to his work, unlike other designers I’ve worked with before. I never got any pushback from him. He was pliable and willing to give us exactly what we wanted. Though he was open to our feedback, he also did make it clear when he thought we were going down a path that wasn’t aligned with our project goals.

I would get an email update every week on exactly what his developer had accomplished, as well as updates on where they were with respect to their initial Gantt chart and schedule. This experience has been refreshing and definitely a plus. Bryan was very knowledgeable, super nice, works fast and is efficient. CSS were competitive cost wise, and it made sense.

We work together to show the documentation through the Slack channel, and then sometimes we go offline and speak with each other on the phone. The experience of working with them, and having them hit always hit their deadlines was, wonderful from a client perspective. They helped bring out the best in us. Sometimes you are waiting on the other partner to fulfill their obligation, but Braid was always available.
