I was the head of technical production at an advertising firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Alliance Innovation?

We were moving to a new platform with a better CRM house.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alliance Innovation provided us with their web development services. We started the project by discussing what we were looking for and how we could achieve our goals. 

They then built a prototype of our platform through InVision and translated it into working pages using Drupal. They also initiated the data migration process and the integration of a third-party API to build a dynamic website.

Apart from that, they also did some SEO work through Google Analytics.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was Demetrios (CEO), but he had six other team members working with him.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested close to $700,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from January–November 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The time spent by users on the website has significantly increased and the performance of the site has improved tremendously, thanks to Alliance Innovations.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great. We had daily meetings and set expectations for each sprint and they let me know if there were any issues.

We typically used Microsoft Teams and JIRA as our main project management tools. They were good at communicating consistently, which was almost as important as hitting deadlines for technical fixes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to communicate early and often was highly valuable for the project. If there was something I didn't understand, they would let me know how important it was to implement it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can work on providing more accurate timelines.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I would advise you to keep your communication channels open and don't try to nickel and dime the team, because their estimates would already be fair.

Alliance Innovations took on the challenge of inspiring and influencing tourism in the United States Virgin Islands with a mobile-first approach. They integrated APIs for user generated content, Facebook API and OAuth, Google Maps, Weather, YouTube, and many more to ensure easy use and secure access. With easy scalability meaning no limitation to reach end users quickly, Alliance delivered above any expectations within their tight timeline.

In providing this safe and easy to use platform, their key performance indicators remarkably rose beyond anyone's expectations. It is clear that Alliance Innovations has contributed beyond anyone's expectation in achieving desired results.

Only difference would have been if we could have all colocated, but the clients budgeted did not support that course of action.
