Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a SaaS company; we sell software that streamlines 3D printing processes, including order management, order intake, processing, and shipping for all 3D printing and CNC machines. I do strategic management and specialize in product development for the company. I look at the market and determine what customers might want to develop new products.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ExpandX?
We were looking to create a new website. We had software developers, but we didn’t have any web developers or a fleshed-out marketing team. Additionally, our goal was to create more traffic. We wanted content on our site to be picked up by search engines, so we came up with the idea to have user-generated content.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ExpandX helped us develop our website and do some minor details. Mainly, they worked on the site’s functionality so people could log in, create a profile, and upload projects. The projects would be displayed on the website for others to read and comment on. Also, users could leave their contact details, which could turn into potential leads.
Initially, we gave them an extensive project brief; we tried to go into as much detail as possible.
What is the team composition?
We had six people working on the project, including web developers and design specialists. Temelko (Managing Partner) was essentially the project manager.
How did you come to work with ExpandX?
When I joined, we didn’t have a marketing team, so we searched on Google. Our CEO has an extensive history of working with developers from Bulgaria and Ukraine because he’s from there. We looked at ExpandX’s website and called a few companies. However, many didn’t have all the in-house capabilities we needed.
On the other hand, ExpandX had a professional portfolio and designers who could help us implement all our requirements. Also, Temelko seemed like a good person, and they had a competitive price.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we spent between $10,000 and $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked from June–August 2022; it took two months and a week.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
For now, it’s too soon for metrics. The project is a bit of a step in the dark, but we hope it’ll work one day. However, they were great at implementation. They delivered quickly and worked through many iterations.
How did ExpandX perform from a project management standpoint?
They had meetings in the morning, and we met weekly to catch up. We mainly used documents to write the changes we wanted to make and attach screenshots. We sent them back and forth. For communication, it was easier for us to keep in touch through calls and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They went above and beyond to help us solve things that weren’t part of the scope. They completed things they didn’t have to do at all and weren’t even paid to do them. They preferred to finish the project as a whole instead of just fulfilling the brief. Overall, they were extremely attentive and helpful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
First, we’d like to have a product roadmap from the beginning. They made one, but it wasn’t very detailed. The other thing we’d like would be the design. We should’ve made some design iterations before starting implementation, and they didn’t suggest it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have a project brief and an idea that you want to take further, you should constantly communicate with them. To work more efficiently, have an initial project plan so you’re entirely sure of the process. Also, go through a few design iterations before you start implementing and be open to paying more to include more things in the scope.

As the services delivery progressed towards month 4-5 we started seeing some real traction and results of all the marketing mix activities that ExpandX assembled together for us in a master strategy. We had increase in the number of MQL (minimum qualified leads) as per our own internal system, we had increase in number of total leads received on monthly basis, the quality of the inquiries started to improve towards month 6 of the services delivery as we were getting positioned at the right audiences with the right unique selling points and competitive advantages. We also saw improvement in the retention levels of inquiries that did not turn to customers immediately. So we have generally increased our business performance towards month 6 of the services delivery which was also due to the fact that the ExpandX team processed a serious improvement on all our digital assets, social media profiles, and website so that they all are aligned with the marketing efforts, the offering and the brand identity.

We have approached EpxandX team after a sophisticated research and chose them for the project execution and delivery. The scope of work was segmented in few main development cycles. We received a detailed plan on the key goals, technologies, team engaged in the project work and the main deliverables/milestones. Separate team departments managed the different aspects of the project - design, web development, UX, IT admin, creative, etc. There was a project manager overseeing the overall process and progress, who also reported to us on a regular basis. Everything was delivered on time, communication was smooth and went all as expected and initially set as expectation. We were receiving on time each milestone delivery with detailed explanations on what was completed and what the next steps would be. Key deliverables included, our brand new website, a list of all key credentials we needed to administer and access the admin panels, a custom training on how to manage, operate and administer the new website (that was also video and audio recorded for easier know-how transfer). We were also provided with all the needed credentials for the analytical tools integrated to our website.

Analytical Data form the first 2 months of the new website launch showed much higher engagemetn rates with the new web pages, while traffic volumes remained the same as what they were with the old website. The key metrics of the website perofmrance were much, much better - loading speed, key GOogle Metrics, the SEO setup of the website, etc - it all shwoed much better performance which makes the website stand out professionally

We needed a brand new website with full ecommerce integration. That included the web design, the organization of the pages, the content, the technical software that would allow us to manage the eshop and the website in general as well as how the front of the website should be organized from a marketing perspective. We hired ExpandX as they were referred to us from a previous client they worked on with for a website development services. So we decided to work with them for the development of a brand new website for Starjewelry Art Ltd. We needed an A-Z solution that included the IT infrastructure, the website setup, planning and structure, the webdesign, the automation functionalities, etc. We were provided with an offer and a development plan for the project that had five main stages.
As we started working with ExpandX each stage was delivered on time as per the schedule and consisted of the projected digital web pages we were working on. Everything is running smoothly, on time and what we value the most is the pro-activity and the attention to details of the team. They consult us and foresee important details we did not have an eye for before.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
First of all we really like the new webdesign we managed to conclude with the team. It resonates so well with our brand identity and it also serves well considering all the web and IT conditions it needs to cover and fit in with. I am very happy with this particular part as for the industry our business operates in this is absolutely important. Being unique, standing out, and showing how authentic you are. ExpandX managed to translate that via the webdesign which is awesome!
As we started advertising the new website we also see a lot of new users to spend time on the web pages, browse through and send inquiries about our products. For now those results of user activities are self-explanatory for the overall website quality, as it is not only modern, responsive and brand-aligned but it also serves very well its primary purpose.
To drive quality users and engage them to inquire about our products. We plan to upgrade the website to a full e-commerce one very soon and we will again choose ExpandX for the services of this upgrade

We approached ExpandX as we were looking for a reliable company to build our new website. Their profile had quite good reviews and when we contracted them for the project we had. We had two main goals a/to build a new website and b/to improve our overall branding image. The team of ExpandX was so professional to approach those two separate tasks with their relevant departments and to walk us through the details of how to achieve the best results.
We had our project managers assigned and we had few initial calls with the team to define the project briefs. From then onward the team delivered excellent results, always on time and with great communication skills. They also advised us on some specific points regarding the website development which we were not really sure about. They provided solid arguments on their professional opinion and we were comfortable to trust them.
We manage to complete the website and the improved visual branding on time. We were delivered with the schedule project cycles deliveries on time, on the staging server and once all approved by us ExpandX process the final migration on the main domain address/hosting solution.

We are seeing immediate positive effect out of the new website ExpandX have built for us. It has much better engagement functionalities, it is much faster to load, much more intuitive to navigate. As we needed a new website that is modern from visual perspective and also technologically up to date we looked for agencies that can deliver on that. What was important for us was to work with a company that will understand what we are passionate about in our bakery business and how we have been successful for 37 years now.
We were really happy to see the depth ExpandX team went when we initially approached them. They really managed to understand our needs and we ended up with a plan on how to build a new website but also how to improve our branding, communicate competitive advantages and add all that in a synchronized strategy for all our digital assets.
The team of ExpandX worked on the development of our new website, created a new brand visual design concept and also worked on improving, updating and upgrading our social media digital assets. All that was delivered from the respective departments and in in full alignment as per the strategy agreed.

We have recently launched our new website and have also finished on internal decor improvements in the shop as per the new branding concepts which are also aligned with the digital ones as per the strategy ExpandX developed and the feedback we are getting from our regular customers (we are on the market for 37 years) about the easiness and the look & feel of the new website is absolutely great.
The new website also has the functionality to process online orders which was crucial of us as we wanted to be able to serve wider pool of clients via digital channels. Our current clients love it and already use it as well and we are also registering increase in the orders that are coming form new customers that we have not served before and who have not visited our physical shop (that is a result of the digital efforts and assets created and developed by ExpnadX).
Judging on those great results I can only imagine the business growth we will achieve in one or two years. We are also exploring opportunities to start PPC campaigns with ExpandX to also support all the other services they delivered so far.
