We’re a SaaS company; we sell software that streamlines 3D printing processes, including order management, order intake, processing, and shipping for all 3D printing and CNC machines. I do strategic management and specialize in product development for the company. I look at the market and determine what customers might want to develop new products.

What challenge were you trying to address with ExpandX?
We were looking to create a new website. We had software developers, but we didn’t have any web developers or a fleshed-out marketing team. Additionally, our goal was to create more traffic. We wanted content on our site to be picked up by search engines, so we came up with the idea to have user-generated content.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ExpandX helped us develop our website and do some minor details. Mainly, they worked on the site’s functionality so people could log in, create a profile, and upload projects. The projects would be displayed on the website for others to read and comment on. Also, users could leave their contact details, which could turn into potential leads.
Initially, we gave them an extensive project brief; we tried to go into as much detail as possible.
What is the team composition?
We had six people working on the project, including web developers and design specialists. Temelko (Managing Partner) was essentially the project manager.
How did you come to work with ExpandX?
When I joined, we didn’t have a marketing team, so we searched on Google. Our CEO has an extensive history of working with developers from Bulgaria and Ukraine because he’s from there. We looked at ExpandX’s website and called a few companies. However, many didn’t have all the in-house capabilities we needed.
On the other hand, ExpandX had a professional portfolio and designers who could help us implement all our requirements. Also, Temelko seemed like a good person, and they had a competitive price.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we spent between $10,000 and $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked from June–August 2022; it took two months and a week.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
For now, it’s too soon for metrics. The project is a bit of a step in the dark, but we hope it’ll work one day. However, they were great at implementation. They delivered quickly and worked through many iterations.
How did ExpandX perform from a project management standpoint?
They had meetings in the morning, and we met weekly to catch up. We mainly used documents to write the changes we wanted to make and attach screenshots. We sent them back and forth. For communication, it was easier for us to keep in touch through calls and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They went above and beyond to help us solve things that weren’t part of the scope. They completed things they didn’t have to do at all and weren’t even paid to do them. They preferred to finish the project as a whole instead of just fulfilling the brief. Overall, they were extremely attentive and helpful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
First, we’d like to have a product roadmap from the beginning. They made one, but it wasn’t very detailed. The other thing we’d like would be the design. We should’ve made some design iterations before starting implementation, and they didn’t suggest it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have a project brief and an idea that you want to take further, you should constantly communicate with them. To work more efficiently, have an initial project plan so you’re entirely sure of the process. Also, go through a few design iterations before you start implementing and be open to paying more to include more things in the scope.

We started working together in May 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. They’re aiming to finish the site by the end of November.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project is going well; ExpandX has achieved every goal so far and has met my vision for the site. We’re building something special together, and they’re helping in everything they can. Since the site isn’t finished, I can’t give any metrics.
How did ExpandX perform from a project management standpoint?
Every communication with them is smooth, and we haven’t had any issues with any team members. We usually communicate through email and sometimes talk on the phone with the CEO. They’re very fast in responding to my emails; they reply within the hour. Although we’ve had a delay in the timeline, it was on my side.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I emailed at least 10 big companies, and most didn’t give me the attention I wanted; it took them at least a week to respond to my inquiry, and some didn’t respond at all. To me, that showed me they weren’t serious. Meanwhile, the response I got from ExpandX was the best; they’re good to me and act professionally.

I don’t see any ways they need to improve; everything’s perfect.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a small lady clothing company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ExpandX Marketing & Web?
I started this company as an experiment, with the idea of having my own business in the clothing industry to create pieces on my own. However, I didn’t know if there would be demand for my products, so I decided to launch a small collection through an e-commerce site to test the market.
For this project, I needed a partner that could help me create a functional e-commerce website at a competitive price so that I could start my business. I was already working on my website design with another person, so I initially contacted ExpandX for help with my marketing activities once my site was finished. However, I had some issues with my previous web designer, so they ended up helping me with that part of the project as well.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ExpandX created my whole e-commerce website. I only provided them with the content, but they were in charge of creating the whole platform from scratch on WooCommerce. I also showed them examples of websites that I liked for inspiration, and I gave them some insight into how I imagined my site.
They provided me with a lot of advice and input throughout the process, making decisions that they thought made sense to attract more clients. They brought their expertise into the project to make my site suitable for selling, which I ultimately wanted.
We’ve already finished my website, and we’re now about to start marketing efforts. The idea is to start with social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram in February 2022. However, we’re still in talks because I’m now leaning towards advertising through Google Ads.
What is the team composition?
I communicate directly with one person from ExpandX, who I believe is the project manager. Additionally, I’ve had a few interactions with the owner. In total, I estimate that 4–5 people have been involved in the project.
How did you come to work with ExpandX Marketing & Web?
I started discussions with my previous web designer around May 2021, but two months passed by, and nothing happened. Then, this person delivered a very poor-quality website. It was almost July, and I wanted to go live by August, but I didn’t have a site.
In the meantime, I found ExpandX through Clutch when I was looking at different providers to help me with my marketing efforts. I found out that the reviews that ExpandX had were very impressive, so I contacted them. From day one, they were very attentive, responsive, and engaged, so I just stayed with them — I didn’t seek further.
We agreed to start the marketing campaigns once my site was finished, but this situation happened, so I asked ExpandX if they could help me launch. They accepted the project with very short notice.

Overall, I’ve spent around $10,000–$15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started communicating around June 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s hard to provide any metrics on the success of this project because we’re just starting with sales activities and marketing. However, the people I’ve shown the website say that it is nice-looking, highly functional, and very suitable for e-commerce. I’ve also noticed a lot of visitors coming to my site, but converting traffic into sales is going to take more work.
How did ExpandX Marketing & Web perform from a project management standpoint?
ExpandX has kept me posted every step of the way, and their communication has been clear and open from the beginning. Initially, they broke the project into phases, and they’ve constantly ensured to keep me aware of which phase we are working on. From that perspective, they’ve always been very timely.
When I started this journey, I thought that building a website was a matter of one month. However, it turned out to be much longer than that; it took almost six months of work. Breaking the project into phases helped me see that this would be a long process. Of course, I wanted my site to be ready much earlier, but I wouldn’t say that ExpandX can’t meet deadlines; all I can say is that my expectations were wrong from the start.
We communicate via email, and they’re always very responsive. Whenever I send them an email, I get a response within 2–3 hours. Usually, their answers are very comprehensive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
For ExpandX, a project is much more than just a job. They take their work as a personal objective, and they’re very passionate about it. They don’t work for the money; they take their work as a mission and do whatever it takes to accomplish that mission.
Additionally, they have a very strong team spirit, and they seem to be almost obsessed with delivering a quality product. That’s one of ExpandX’s differentiating factors compared to the other companies I talked to.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It is hard to provide constructive criticism because they’re very good at what they do. If anything, the fact that they’re so passionate about what they do makes them very attached to their work. It would be great if they could step back to be able to assess the output from a neutral perspective.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you decide to go with ExpandX, you’ll get the best of them as long as you’re as responsive and dedicated as they are. They work fast, so you have to keep up the pace to get what you need in the end.

We’d created our own website, so we told ExpandX Marketing & Web we might need to redevelop it. However, they said we didn’t need to invest in that right now. Instead, they’ve helped us with blogs and Facebook campaigns. We give them the blog ideas, and they write them.
Also, we’ve recorded videos, and they’ve changed them for us and posted them on Facebook.

We’re in contact with an admin who’s kind, professional, and patient. We also work with the CEO, an advertising person, a video marketer, and an email marketing person.

I searched online; I liked their bio and contacted them. When I sent an email, they responded that their CEO wanted to have a video call with me, which was great. Then, I had the video conference with him — he said he hadn’t seen any idea like mine. I knew it to be true because I’m a visionary.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The blog posts are really amazing. The contract said 500 words, but they write 1,000 words per blog. The team has exceeded our expectations, and they genuinely care about us.
ExpandX Marketing & Web sends us a Facebook Ads report at the beginning of each month — it’s 2,300% better than the last ads we had. Now, we’re at 30 cents per click, which is excellent because we don’t have much money to invest right now. We’re investing a fixed pound per day, and the ideal would be £20 (approximately $27 USD) a day.
Moreover, the website’s pixel is now ready to create campaigns based on the look alike. It takes patience, but it’s going well. Overall, we’re happy with it.

For what projects/services did your company hire ExpandX Marketing & Web, and what were your goals?
We are launching a new business line - bebeliso.com. For this specific project we decided to work with an established marketing professionals or agency to set up the brand, website and digital marketing activities of the e-commerce. So we decided to contract ExpandX for all that.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We browsed the web and went over a list of recommended agencies. We checked the portfolio of ExpandX and got into contact with them. They offered quite professional and smooth initial process of discovering our pain points, goals and expectations which ultimately made us choose them as our services provider.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We started with the logo, branding and brand identity creation. We extensively worked with the design team of ExpandX. We are absolutely happy with the final results also with the overall process of creation of that. We started from 0 and it was not easy to begin but we were guided all the time which made the process really easy and effective. We passed through several project cycles and revisions.
Everything was planned well and executed flawlessly. We also developed a sophisticated Digital Marketing Strategy assembling all types of activities needed for the initial 2 years of operations, we did budged planning and marketing mix drilled down to the very specifics needed. We now started work on the website and the project management patterns and standards of ExpandX show again.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work with close to 8-9 team members (design, marketing, strategy, IT and web dev teams) but all the e-mail communication wish channeled down by and managed by 1 project manager which makes it all really smooth and easy for us.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The logo and branding we have managed to form is of really high-class international quality, which was extremely important for us, starting and aiming at positioning an intentional e-commerce business. We have been also provided a very detailed brand book that we actually never thought of being set as an instrument that will allow us to coordinate and ensure equal brand presence from now onward. Definitely great value for money as well considering we did not initially go for a budged solution when selecting the vendor.
As per the digital marketing strategy developed and delivered we have to say that we are not happy we also ordered that service since during the development process we saw how many important points we have actually been missing with our other activities and it is great that we now have those well and properly aligned, planned and set in the right places.
