They repaired and redeveloped the initial platform. Then, they completely rebuilt a different platform. Both are web-based solutions that are available on iOS and Android. They’ve been responsible for the design and development of the solutions.
Technologies used include a React Native JavaScript framework for Android and iOS. For the backend APIs, they used the microservices technology Laravel PHP. They also used Microsoft Azure web services for scalable deployments on Lenox environments.

What challenge were you trying to address with HyperTrends Global Inc.?
We wanted to dive into how the software is going to function in order to accomplish our task. We wanted to work with HyperTrends on developing a strategic plan and develop the overarching way of successfully implementing our software from the ground up.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we came to HyperTrends, we had an idea and a potential solution, and what Anup (CEO) and HyperTrends were able to do for us was basically bring that idea to life.
We started in the discovery process. We had lots of meetings, going into the business model, logistics, and the legal aspect of doing this. They formulated a plan in which we can successfully develop and then execute this software.
Essentially, the software functions as an intermediary between an individual and their online accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Netflix, Spotify, and others. It is a place for them to store their information, passwords, identities, and then after we have gotten confirmation that they have passed away, we execute on their instructions. All of the information that they have input into our platform and our software, we then use in order to execute what they wanted for their online legacy.
It is a web app that we are developing, and it is completely cloud-based. There is no locally stored information. It is all secure and encrypted.
What is the team composition?
Anup was our primary point of contact. All of his team reported to him, and then he reported to us. Based on what Anup and I always spoke about, there had to have been at least four or five different architects and developers working on the project.
How did you come to work with HyperTrends Global Inc.?
We were scouting for a developer that had experience in not only web applications, but also cybersecurity and encryption. We chose Anup and HyperTrends for that very reason. I spoke with five different development companies in the San Diego area. They all were adequate, but none of them had the background and the kind of industry knowledge that Anup brought to the table.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent between $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first contacted them in April 2020, but our professional relationship didn’t come to fruition until mid-May. As of right now, the bulk of our initial discovery process is completed. Right now, we are kind of in limbo waiting for some funding to come in. I believe there is still much more to do. However, the initial reason for partnering with HyperTrends was completed in mid-September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We recently were able to get a patent for our product. Anup was helpful in providing all of the right documentation for us. That validated the success of the project for me.

They gave us access to Confluence where they showed their progress and what they were working on. We were able to log in whenever we wanted and see what sprints they were working on.
They always did what they said they would do. Having access 24/7 to what they were working on was absolutely fantastic.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The passion that they have is impressive. Anup really believed in what we were doing and was willing to go out of his way at any time of the day to help us. He was available at all times. I think that his passion flowed into the deliverables that we received from them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I couldn’t imagine a better relationship. Everything has been absolutely wonderful.

When you meet with a development company, look for a sense of passion. With a lot of the other development firms that we interviewed, none of them displayed the same passion and willingness to succeed, and the determination that HyperTrends did right off the bat.

I'm CEO and founder of TicketSocket, a white label ticketing framework. We work with a number of enterprise clients to put control back into the hands of event organizers, as opposed to them using a third-party system.

What challenge were you trying to address with HyperTrends Global Inc.?
We had previously developed the first version of our software. We needed to build an enterprise version with a Representational State Transfer (REST) API.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
HyperTrends Global Inc. worked with us for several years. They helped us build a new version of our previous platform. Clients leverage our platform to take registrations and ticket sales. It allows them to collect the money directly and control the data and services themselves.
We had our own internal UI developers but HyperTrends Global Inc. handled the whole backend. They led development and set up of the server, infrastructure, and database. They did all of the REST API development, including documentation and scoping. They worked in the .NET Framework on the backend, as well as MongoDB and SQL for our database structures. They also managed many of the API team members for both fixing bugs as well as feature development.

We worked with 5–6 developers. Anup (CEO, HyperTrends Global Inc.) served as our main project manager.

We were introduced by a mutual investor. We interviewed several other companies before choosing them.

They rebuilt the entire platform so it is much more scalable. They added new features such as the ability to reserve seating and do season ticket sales. Those features allow us to bring on board new businesses that we were never able to serve before. It also allows us to offer a developer-centric platform. Now companies can build off our API, which is very helpful. Their code was quite good. There were some parts that needed a little bit of refactoring, but overall it was very clean and well documented.

They managed the project directly, and interfaced with our UI team to connect the API. Anup and his senior developer were our key contacts. We worked in an agile three-week sprint process. We met with them frequently in person, as well as using Jira and Slack. They also had a special bug response team to fix any problems.

They were always very creative in adding new features. Given the scope of the project, it was helpful that someone else besides us had a strong vision.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We made the mistake of letting them talk directly to our clients. The clients would complain about some software feature that they wanted but we didn't think had any business value. As a result of the complaints, HyperTrends Global Inc. would sometimes work on those features above other projects.

The projects we worked on included a scrapbooking web and mobile app with a custom interface. It allowed users to upload content and monitored users’ geolocations. We also designed an interface for pro surfers to upload videos and offer services. It operated as a hub for all things surf related. They handled all the backend development to allow for video ranking and other functionality.

My partner and I were looking for a developer to help us build our web and mobile app.

What was the scope of their involvement?
HyperTrends initially spent a lot of time with us, attending various meetings to learn about our industry and some of the challenges we were trying to address. As a result, they met with many different vendors we were working with. After acquiring a certain amount of knowledge, they then started developing the platform for both web and mobile (iOS and Android).
The app digitized many of the forms truck drivers need to fill out before and after a shift. One of its key features involved a process that made periodic drug testing of truck drivers more efficient, allowing drivers to submit all relevant paperwork and information through the app and take a drug test at their company's office instead of in a lab. They also built in translations into Spanish and components that were compliant with the Mexican government's driving regulations.

HyperTrends helped us transform previously lengthy tasks into easy, seamless processes. We received a lot of positive feedback from truck drivers, trucking companies, and even the labs we approached to help streamline the drug testing feature. HyperTrends exceeded expectation by taking the time to learn about our industry and exactly what we needed—it was a very complicated, yet collaborative process.

They were very organized and accessible, managing projects and communications through Slack, Jira, and Basecamp. Their team did a tremendous amount of research to be able to take on our project.

HyperTrends provided a full-stack development team to work on our site. The scope of the project encompassed virtually all of our student-facing applications as well. We provided them with an idea of what we were looking for, and they managed design and development to align the end products with our preferences.
