Apart from a time when there was a wire cut outside our office in DC, which didn’t have anything to do with designDATA, we haven’t had an outage anywhere in the world. I have to say, it was pretty amazing how we transitioned with designDATA during a pandemic when all of our offices shut down at slightly different times. In our Washington DC office, there weren’t any notices, because it was reported that someone in our building had tested positive for COVID-19 — everyone grabbed their laptops, went home, and we got them back online almost immediately.

Since they offer white labeling, we made it feel like a part of the conference app. This year we added the ability to book a specific reservation time instead of first come first served. That worked even better, which is why we were able to accommodate more people. NextME created technology that not only worked but also provided a better user experience.

They’re great with communication. Being responsive and accessible is of great importance to us. Back when we had those problems, we’d do our end of day UPS picks up here at 3:30 p.m. If we had a problem emerge at 1:30 p.m. that kept us from going any further, they were good about getting on the problem, and fixing it immediately, thus allowing us to continue processing orders.
