BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am CEO/President of Iconic Investments, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage firm based in Encino, CA and specializing in the sale and acquisitions of multifamily property throughout the Western United States.

For what projects/services did your company hire DCG Technical Solutions, Inc?

My partner and I were looking IT consultants to advise us on migrating our files and applications to the cloud and creating a mobile workspace so that our staff and agents could access all of their work data remotely. We found DCG Technical Solutions, and their extremely knowledgeable and professional staff was able to effectively guide us through the process.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to implement the latest technology and avoid purchasing costly equipment that would become obsolete or be costly to repair or replace. We also wanted to make sure our team members could communicate with one another using best in class applications with high levels of privacy and security. We also wanted whatever system we implemented to be compatible with our VOIP phone system and other communication devices.

How did you select this vendor?

My partner and I met with four different companies to review our needs. All of the companies were referred to us by other small business owners, and they all had strong online reviews.

We outlined our needs and wants and the team at DCG Technical Solutions was able to provide solutions that fit both our current and potential future needs without costing too much or being overkill. Our final decision was a result of comparing the various offerings the four companies provided, along with future growth potential and device compatibility, and of course, pricing.

Describe the project in detail.

We migrated our entire file system from in-house storage to Microsoft cloud-based storage that provides instant access to all documents and files worldwide. In addition, DCG assisted in deploying and implementing Microsoft Office among all of our users. DCG Technical Solution's staff were able to train our staff on an individual and group level on the various tools and and applications we could use to communicate and become more efficient with.

What was the team composition?

Our initial meeting was with Brent, the president of DCG Technical Solutions. Brent met with us personally and spent over an hour interviewing me and my staff to determine what we needed and made recommendations on the various tools and applications that would best suit our needs. When it came time to install and migrate, two technical advisors from DCG came to our office and worked diligently over the course of three days to make it all happen. The migration was seamless and there was minimal down time. The techs were able to make sense of the new tools and the way they taught us allowed for quick and easy transfer to the new system.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Fortuitously, in January 2020, we updated our corporate server, computer systems, and telephone systems so that all team members could work remotely and access all files and information required to do their job. This good timing meant that we were as prepared as could be for a work-from-home scenario such as this and have been fully engaged in all aspects of our business.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It felt as if the team members from DCG were a part of our company. They expressed great care and interest in making sure that their job was done right and that we completely understood how to use the new tools.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every interaction we have had with DCG personnel has been extremely professional yet personable. I love that they are LA-based and that we always get to talk with someone locally. Being in the world of real estate brokerage, we work with a lot of different vendors.

The team at DCG Technical Solutions is always upbeat, professional, and extremely caring. They go out of their way to find the best solution for us and never treat us like a number or account - we are always treated like valued clients.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There's a lot of moving targets when moving from 1990s technology. The DCG team made light work of it all and, when there was an issue, quickly solved our technical problems and just made everything work great.
