We needed help to setup a secure network for a complex AV environment to be deployed for a high-profile client. We asked for the network equipment and end-point devices to be configured properly and hardened to ensure the highest level of security. We needed an appropriate monitoring platform to be identified and deployed to ensure a previously communicated SLA would be maintained and any outages would be identified and resolved in a timely fashion.
The last deliverable for this project was for Infracore to produce detailed documentation for every service and device in order for the client personnel to be able to manage all components independently.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Infracore put together a detailed project plan and we had weekly status meetings with everyone that was involved to stay up to date on completed tasks and to remove any roadblocks. Throughout the project, the Infracore team did an amazing job communicating their progress and any unexpected challenges.

Infracore has a tried and true project management methodology that kept us in the loop throughout the project. It was refreshing to see them so focused on hitting their deadlines and also calling out any potential delays as soon as they found out instead of waiting until it was too late.

Most IT services companies we've dealt with in the past would make a lot of promises but there was not a lot of communication once the project started. It's very clear that Infracore has internal training programs that focus on communication and capacity management.
Every team member we encountered was following the same playbook and this has a lot to do with our high level of satisfaction with the services Infracore provided to our company.

Nothing big or major comes to mind. We appreciated the weekly meetings, but it's possible we could've achieved the same outcome with status update meetings every other week.

I measure success by the level of satisfaction of our employees, both in response times to tickets submitted and quality of work, the uptime of our systems, and any security issues we had to address. The feedback from our employees has always been very positive toward Infracore’s service level. Our systems rarely had any performance or stability issues (Infracore is very good about communicating maintenance windows well in advance of the work). We did not have any security issues during the many years that Infracore has managed our IT systems.

They also insist on having regular sync-up meetings to make sure we stay up to date on the status of projects and to bring to our attention any potential roadblocks. They provided a fully managed IT department and service desk support for our San Diego office with ties to other offices in the US. They managed and upgraded our on-premise storage infrastructure. They facilitated and exeuctued an office move to a new 60,000 sf R&D center.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They maintained the existing compute stack running: a mix of “bare metal” Oracle database servers running compound and simulation databases with web-based front-end and Java-based application servers.
They managed the existing storage stack: a mix of NetApp and EMC filers with over 200 terabytes of storage, along with their associated backup systems.
They identified the workloads to be offloaded to the AWS cloud and defined other solutions for un-migratable workloads.
They managed the technology components of the facility move, including the migration of key infrastructure.

They have a great structure for staying in touch with their clients’ needs. In addition to the onsite service desk, networking, sysadmin and IT manager team members that supported our day-to-day needs, we were assigned an Infracore VP of Technology Operations whom was responsible for the overall service delivery and strategy related conversations. This person would support my efforts for board meeting presentations as well as attend my sync-up meetings with the rest of their team.

Their excellent work and support allowed us to focus on our core business. In our industry, this translates into saving lives. There were plenty of opportunities to replace them with other global IT services firms that were supporting our other locations, but our staff thought of them too highly to make a change.
