Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a startup trading app. With it, we provide daily alerts about important information regarding the stock market to stock traders.

What challenge were you trying to address with CbSol?

We needed help with developing our mobile app. We knew that we would require more workforce than we had on board to take the project to completion, so we decided to partner with an agency to augment our development team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CbSol has integrated into our internal team and helped us develop our app for iOS and Android from scratch. Their work has strictly focused on front- and backend development — we’ve been in charge of the designs. Additionally, they’re now in charge of ongoing maintenance and updates.

CbSol provides us with three engineers: a lead engineer who also works as the project manager and two junior full stack engineers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our success metric is that thanks to CbSol, we’ve been able to launch our app into the App Store and Google Play. Their resources continue to service the app seamlessly on an ongoing basis, and so far, they’ve done what they’re supposed to do. 

How did CbSol perform from a project management standpoint?

CbSol’s timeliness has been great. I can always count on them hitting the milestones and sprint targets. Originally, their integration into our existing team was seamless and streamlined, and they’ve continued to work seamlessly with us since then.

As for problem-solving, we have a very fluid support system for our app. If users see bugs, they can report them in the app, and we put those into our bug-tracking pipeline so that we can solve them as quickly as possible. CbSol’s resources are always very responsive to issues, and they provide us with various suggestions on how to solve them.

We mainly communicate with them via Slack, and we have weekly sprint meetings where we discuss our targets for the week over Zoom. Additionally, we use Jira for project management.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. CbSol actually reaches out to us constantly to get our feedback and see how they can improve, so their self-awareness is outstanding.
