At the beginning of the project, I requested an in-person meeting with CreateApe’s team, and they obliged. Knowing who I was working with made the project much easier. At another point, I asked to meet with them because my team was overwhelmed with the workload and needed to reprioritize some goals. Their team traveled to meet with us. If I had to name one area for improvement, it would be having an even more detailed written handover at the end (a short checklist or mini manual for updates, backups, and small content changes). They were responsive and helpful whenever we asked, but a slightly more structured post-launch guide would make it even easier for a team to onboard and maintain the site long-term.

End-users of the BAS are now getting more accurate and up-to-date research support bibliographic data from the BAS, and subscriptions have increased. I was very impressed with how PIXO dove into the complex and interlocking data structures needed to make it work properly, and how quickly they grasped and even anticipated when those needs would turn into in terms of the application they have been building.
