How to motivate partners to sell your products?

NiceLabel is a world-leading developer of labeling software.

Its distribution flows through its partner network.

Since NiceLabel is an established and well recognized brand, the company has decided to support its partners by upgrading the brand’s website into a partner-shared e-commerce hub.

In a partner network business model establishing

a direct sales process can be risky.

Resellers may think the supplier is jeopardizing their share of the revenue. The only way to avoid a conflict is by making your partners a part of the new business model.

Therefore, Creatim was asked to upgrade the NiceLabel site to an online marketplace, which enables partners to manage their users, streamline their online sales and market effectively.

Creatim has developed an online system which recognizes individual users based on the their geographical location.

The site’s content is personalized regarding the user’s search history and manually set preferences. When a user chooses to buy, he or she is assigned to a local reseller who ultimately fulfills the sale.

The whole platform is conceived to give partners more control over their sales and new business opportunities. They have access to all NiceLabel prospect data, so they can effectively streamline their marketing activities.

On the test market (United Kingdom) sales have more than doubled.

And perhaps more important, due to online services NiceLabel leverages it ability to backup its partners, thus partner satisfaction has increased substantially.

Online insurance application Image

Online insurance application

NLB Vita is one of the most prominent life-insurance provider in Slovenia. Considering its online-strategy the company decided to upgrade its website to a self-service web office. Creatim was assigned to design and implement the solution.

The client wanted a portal where the customers are better informed and able to purchase online and self-manage their insurance plans. The obvious goal here was to diminish friction in

the purchasing process as much as possible while protecting a customer’s personal data and comply to the harsh legislative regulations of insurance industry. To meet the requirements Creatim has developed tools like digital signature and implemented personal certification process, tailored to the existing business processes in the company.

To match the rigorous safety standards Creatim hosts and manages the site while all the data processing and storage takes place exclusively on the client’s technical infrastructure. The data exchange between the servers runs via encrypted protocols.

NLB Vita has recently confirmed that the new portal has reduced time-to-market, shortened the conversion cycle and enhanced its brand image. The number of users increases as does year-on-year sales, in line with targets.

In ecommerce, speed is important; there’s nothing new about that. As a rule of thumb, you should not keep the user waiting for more than 3 secs, otherwise, there is a good chance she will move on to a more responsive competitor.

While cached pages are served in literally no time, all pages cannot be cached. A good example are category pages with dynamic filtering systems. Moreover, managing categories and product data by

store managers will purge the cache. The difference in loading times of cached and uncached pages confuses the user and tends to grow exponentially as the number of page view requests rises.

For a smooth user experience, it is vital to keep response time of uncached pages as low as possible. However, as more and more features are added to the store in the name of that very same user experience, the speed is usually one of the first victims.

I am happy to say that our team has delivered one of the fastest Magento 2 enterprise shops in the region; squeezing the server response time of uncached pages to less than 0.7 sec.

SKB Société Générale Image

SKB Société Générale

"In Creatim we have found a partner who provides quality and dependable customer service. Above all, they can connect the dots of interrelated challenges and deliver solutions that add to our customers’ satisfaction."

Lara Brlec, CMO SKB bank

SKB bank, one of the oldest banks in Slovenia, has always been prone to digital innovation. It introduced its online banking service almost twenty years ago when the

internet was still in its infancy.

However, their website did not reflect the company's ambitions. It was outdated, neglecting some of the basic user experience principles. Burdensome page management just added to the problem. As a result, the page failed on the main KPIs.

The bank’s main KPI is the number of consultancy appointments. In important life-stage decisions that involve larger financial investments, consumers want to discuss their challenges with an experienced consultant. Needless to say, such cases also happen to be the most compelling opportunities for the bank.

The Strategy

We set out to rebuild the website in two steps. In the first phase, we would build the initial version based on our assumptions and let it run for several months to collect the real user data. These inputs would avail us to enter the second phase where we would bring about the necessary enhancements and optimizations.

Considering the stage of the buyer journey, we proposed dual-option user flows to tag users’ preferences as they were moving down the funnel. Once we knew what they were after we could employ various personalization tactics on their next visits to boost conversions.

National tourism portal Image

National tourism portal

www.slovenia.info

To be conceived of as a vivid, value-added place, a national tourism website has to provide accurate and up-to-date information, provided by various stakeholders and information sources. If we wanted to bolster the information exchange between the tourist board and its partners, we had to make the new tourism website a digital heart of this

cooperation.

We knew the business partners would use the site’s business tooling only if it provides value-added content, requires no learning, and conducts relevant information that is easily accessible.

After our UX team had carved out the applicable user scenarios, we built all the necessary system components. The processes were partly highly customized, so off-the-shelf products were out of the question.

While the public face of tourism website is all about enticing and attracting, on the flip side, there is a working horse we dubbed Credo CMS. It sustains various business-user operations to keep the content up-to-date. It enables them to register, upload and manage their offerings and link to the content that is relevant for their businesses.

The system also links to the various social media platforms, feeds marketing campaigns, and provides analytical insights.

Rich media content is managed through Media Library, a powerful content repository used by photographers and video makers. They can upload their work to be consumed by Slovenian tourist board and its business partners.

For an increasing number of tour operators, service providers, local destination partners, and media, the slovenia.info website has become a part of their business routine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We needed help with web design and development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work closely with Creatim Rzisnik Perc on the design, technical, and strategic aspects of our website. One of the key components is our portal, which allows our partners to log in and access their materials.

The team, who built the site from scratch ten years ago, is now starting to focus on implementing updates.

The site is based on their CMS, an open-source PHP platform for e-commerce. They’ve integrated several of our systems, including our marketing automation platform and our Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is our project manager, though we also work with additional team members for web design, UX, and offline materials.

How did you come to work with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

They were selected before I joined the company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $30,000-$40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in 2010, and the work is ongoing.

We’re really satisfied with the project manager. We keep in touch over email, phone calls, and Creatim Rzisnik Perc’s own project management software.

The team meets almost all of their deadlines, is very responsive, and communicates very well. We don’t have any issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with how well Creatim Rzisnik Perc understands us as a client. They’re proactive in suggesting improvements whenever necessary.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The team could improve their creativity on the design side. Sometimes, we end up needing to give a lot of instructions on how we want something to look. We’d be much happier if we got more input from their side in terms of what things should look like.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re thinking about partnering with Creatim Rzisnik Perc, go for it.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for in digital marketing for a bank. My areas of responsibility include webpages, internet, and other technical needs.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We were building a new webpage for our bank and for some of our daughter companies. The old site was obsolete, and we were building a new one from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They led the whole project. We first had some workshops to discuss what we wanted, and they set up a plan to help us achieve our goals. They were in contact with our IT services, and we rewrote all the content and documents. Then, they built up the whole website, which is hosted outside the bank. We offer some web services through the site, and the security is very high.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with a lead developer, and she maintained the team behind her.

How did you come to work with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We invited three or four agencies to meet with us. Two dropped out quickly because of our high-security standards. We chose Creatim based on everything they showed us in their proposal.

How much have you invested with them?

I can't share the exact amount, but we spent somewhere between €50,000-€200,000 (approximately $55,000-$221,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed a contract at the end of 2017, and we finished everything around December 2018. They still provide maintenance for the website, and we have them on a monthly retainer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We didn't have a good website at all before we started working together, and we're currently establishing metrics and customer flow data with them. As of now, we don't have any numbers to share. Customer feedback is very good, and everyone is happy with the changes. We don't get any negative comments, and our site recently won an award.

How did Creatim Rzisnik Perc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was good. We had some issues at the beginning because we wanted everything very quickly. They explained that our timeline would require them to sacrifice too much, so we made some changes. As we ran the project, they fast-tracked some of our milestones and helped us meet our goals.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The design they proposed is excellent, and we have a good personal connection with them. They delivered on all our requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had some unrealistic expectations at the beginning, but they helped us make adjustments. If we were to do this again, we would have had more realistic timelines in mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They're a good agency with a lot of experience. Listen to their recommendations.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of public relations for AMZS which is the National Automobile Association of Slovenia. We’re an automobile club that offers different services for car drivers and motorcyclists, and we help people with their mobility needs.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We needed someone to help us with web development and ended up hiring Creatim Rzisnik Perc for the job.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Creatim Rzisnik Perc developed a new website for us. We have quite a few different services for our members and I think it was quite a challenge to figure out how to put it onto one website. We actually have different portals for different services.

Two years ago, we launched our website membership portal where users can opt to become members and renew their memberships online. It’s helpful to our customers because they can do all that from the comfort of their home or anywhere else without having to physically go to one of our centers, which saves them time. When signing up for a membership, customers have the option of answering a few simple questions online and based on those answers, we try to help them select which plan is best suited for them.

We’ve done an upgrade since we published the new website in 2015 and are now preparing the second update to keep up with changing trends. Creatim Rzisnik Perc has been very helpful in supporting us with these goals.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mostly worked with one person. During the upgrade, they came up with different UX proposals and the people responsible for that were present as well. I think it’s a good thing to have only one contact. They coordinate everything on their side which makes it easier for me.

How did you come to work with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

They came on board before I joined the company.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in May 2015 and the collaboration is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A website is mandatory for a company and it’s something that needs to be upgraded no matter what the changes in digital communication are. Creatim Rzisnik Perc offers us IT support and we’re constantly attracting new audiences to our website. I think that with their help, we’re doing a good job in the field of growth. Their team also keeps track of Google Analytics for us. Every once in a while, we will look at the statistics and decide where we should improve to get an even better UX for our visitors.

I think that Creatim Rzisnik Perc has done a great job and we really appreciate how they follow the latest trends in digital marketing in order to adapt to customers and their needs.

How did Creatim Rzisnik Perc perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven’t had any difficulties or challenges. They’re very responsive and we’re very satisfied with their services and relationship with us. I think they’re really trying to do their best and are very much aware of how important it is—for us and for them—that this kind of cooperation is a win-win situation for both sides.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our company organizes the best young driver contest, which begins with theoretical questions. This year, Creatim Rzisnik Perc developed a specific website for us that stems out as a portal from our main website. They customized the design to attract young people to it. The questionnaire wasn’t the easiest thing to do because it had to have questions from different fields and the answers needed to be transformed into metrics. Creatim Rzisnik Perc did quite a good job with this challenge and we managed to attract more contestants than in previous years.

I especially like that they don’t just wait until we come to them with an idea. They also propose suggestions regarding what we can do to improve when it comes to digital services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We have quite a good partnership with them are satisfied with the services that they’ve provided so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important for a client working with anyone to know what they want. Give enough details and brief Creatim Rzisnik Perc correctly on what you want from them as well as the project’s goals. Only then will it be possible for them to help clients you those goals. If you’re vague, it’s difficult for an outsider to understand what to do and how he/she can help you. It’s important to take enough time when planning something to thoroughly go through every task that you demand of them so that when you finish the project, both sides will be satisfied.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of online sales for an e-commerce retailer in Slovenia. We offer a wide range of products, from construction products to consumer electronics.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

My company wanted to start building online sales. We needed someone to develop an agile e-commerce platform that would be able to adapt to the market quickly.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Creatim Rzisnik Perc developed our e-commerce platform using Magento. We told them what functionalities we wanted, but everything was done from their side. They did the front- and backend development. They develop pages related to new products and services.

What is the team composition?

There are two people. We have one main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

Creatim Rzisnik Perc is well-known in Slovenia. They’re one of the few companies that can manage this scale of work. They’re reliable.

How much have you invested with them?

My company has spent around €80,000–€100,000 (approximately $89,200–$111,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2017, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve done their part of the job, but we haven’t done ours. The sales aren’t as expected. We’re working on that. We had some problems with logistics and sending goods to end-users on time.

How did Creatim Rzisnik Perc perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is okay. We communicate via phone and email. At least once a month, if not more often, we have in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

A month ago, we had a meeting during which they presented some new trends in online sales and what the next steps should be for us. We have support from their side to educate us on such trends.

Are there any areas they could improve?

My goal is to work more agilely and quickly. They wish to do this from their side also, but it’s a problem within our company.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are one of the few companies in Slovenia that can work by the book. Yesterday, we had a quality control inspection within our company and theirs, and everything was just perfect. I’ve worked with many developers in Slovenia, and I don’t think anyone else can match them. They have a really good organization. Everything is going well. I recommend them to any company here in Slovenia or outside.

They delivered a successful site that’s served as the backbone of international marketing efforts. Creatim Rzisnik Perc communicates well and is good and integrating contract partner tools to the solution.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

The Slovenian Tourist Board is a national organization promoting the country abroad as a tourist destination. I’m a web manager for the organization, responsible for our website as well as other applications connected with the website, like Google Analytics, Google 360, the Net-Results marketing automation tool, our mailing system, and so on.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We were developing a new version of our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Creatim Rzisnik Perc designed and developed our web page and they’re currently maintaining and hosting it.

We were working with a public tender and needed to define all the necessary functionalities of the website beforehand in order for the developer to provide it. We did a lot of work ourselves, defining the purpose of the website and what functionalities it needed to have.

The website needed to support different languages, and to feature different touristic, business, and media pages. We have our own media library for promotion purposes with more than 6,000 photos. The website lists all the business meetings we organize abroad, like fairs and workshops for Slovenian tourist companies. We can draft our own application forms for those companies, as well as manage GDPR information.

The web page is connected with marketing automation tools and our CRM along with a GDPR portal and Google Analytics. We’re using G Suite 360, and all those different applications are connected in order to share data in the most proper way.

Creatim Rzisnik Perc used its own CMS solution to develop the site.

What is the team composition?

One of my colleagues handled the start of the project. We worked with one project lead from Creatim Rzisnik Perc, and we used their special app for creating new tasks and different maintenance and upgrade purposes.

I was able to see the whole process. After creating a new task, I could see when it was accepted and assigned to a programmer. I could see the whole communication between them, and I could add my own comments. Everything was organized, and the system worked well for us.

How did you come to work with Creatim Rzisnik Perc?

We published an open tender for the establishment of our new website. Creatim Rzisnik Perc is not the biggest, but they’re one of the most well-known companies in Slovenia for web development and maintenance. When we decided to create a new version of ours, we invited them to apply to the public tender.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them around €4,000 (approximately $4,400 USD) per month for maintenance and hosting and an additional €30,000 (approximately $33,000) per year for upgrades.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2016 and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve delivered a very successful website and it’s our main marketing tool for promoting the country abroad.

How did Creatim Rzisnik Perc perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a system that works, and we clear up any misunderstandings that may appear. I highly recommend them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They put a lot of effort into not only maintaining and upgrading the website but also connecting with our other contract partners for applications like Google Analytics and 360 and marketing automation tools. We had to connect all those systems and Creatim was proactive in finding solutions to do so.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients have to be specific about the needs and goals of their company in order for Creatim Rzisnik Perc to provide the best suggestions and work. If there were misunderstandings in our case, it was because of a lack of communication
