1. Responsive mobile-friendly design that meets the W3C AA standard and covers the relevant accessibility requirements
2. A content plan and clear navigation 
3. Add sticky navigation 
4. Add new logo 
5. Search engine optimization includes keyword research and on-page optimization 
6. Our Clients page (under About Us) to have a carousel of logos 
7. Integrate newsletter sign-ups with Mailchimp 
8. Option to promote 3 or 4 courses at the top of the Training and Consultancy pages 
9. Making it obvious to the customer that there are two different ways of providing qualified training – In-house or Open offer 
10. Adding text search on Skills Training and News and Publications pages 
11. Add relevant existing case studies and testimonials on the corresponding training pages as a carousel 
12. News and Publications section with the ability to add categories and tags to each story 
13. Category tags and search to be added for the News page

Bigfork have worked alongside the city council team since the concept of LUMi in 2017. In 2022 we wanted redesign LUMi to modernise the site, improve the user experience and functionality of the platform, particularly as the majority of the site content is user generated.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our outcomes were measured through user experience research. The initial phase identified areas for improvement. The second UX phase with a new group of volunteers was to ensure we had removed any pain points. We were looking for confirmation the platform was easy to navigate, that it eliminated areas of confusion, and was relaunched on time. We continue to measure its success from ongoing user feedback.

As a small, personable company, my experience of Bigfork’s project management approach has always been very positive.
