Since launch, Together's new site successfully doubled conversion rate. The site has received stellar feedback from internal users and customers. Communicative, responsive, and organized, the project management ran smoothly and their team was always available.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior director of marketing at an SEO and content marketing software company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

Our website was very dated from a design perspective. The WordPress backend was also very dated: The site was slow and not user-friendly. The conversion rate was also quite low.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We brought Together on to redesign the website and modernize the Wordpress backend. They also helped fix the usability issues with the ultimate goal of increasing conversion rate. In essence, they rebuilt the entire website, including all the features and functionalities.

They did all the designs from the first wireframe to the final product. The site took our existing branding and infused it with a new design. It’s essentially a new visual identity for the website.

What is the team composition?

We had a main point of contact. As needed, we’d interface with their designers and development team.

How did you come to work with Together?

We liked their aesthetic and they had a competitive price point. I wasn’t involved with the selection process, but our development team was impressed with their development skills.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in May 2019. After the redesign was deployed in September, we’ve kept them on retainer and are starting new projects together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen conversions on the site go up by 100% since the project launched. Our team has gotten positive feedback from internal users and customers about the improved look and feel of the website.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s great working with them—everything runs smoothly. We have a shared Slack channel. They are very communicative and always available. In terms of project management, they provided a timeline at the beginning. That timeline was adjusted as needed. They take feedback very well and can implement those things very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a knack for taking something complicated and making it simple and beautiful. I can give them high-level thoughts and they can translate that into a beautiful directive; they don’t need that much direction.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing really. We decided to extend our contract with them because we’re so excited.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Having a strong point of contact to interface with their project manager or account manager is important, but that goes with any type of agency-style engagement.

The client submitted this review online.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

ClassTag is an online platform that connects parents and teachers, enabling easy parent-teacher communication. I was Head of Marketing at ClassTag, leading the marketing function and team there.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Together?

I hired Together to redesign our marketing site: homepage, product page, about page and a few others, as well as to implement the design in Wordpress.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to elevate the brand look and feel, with a fresh new site that we felt put us in the top tier of Edtech companies. We wanted the site to be beautiful, simple to understand and navigate and load quickly. We also wanted it to be easy for multiple stakeholders to find what they're looking for and sign up to use ClassTag.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I was searching for great web and design agencies in the US and the UK. I found Together and really liked the look and feel of their portfolio, and it seemed like a great match for the aesthetic we wanted. Very modern and clean. I had several conversations with Cameron, the founder and we were able to agree a deal that was on budget and within our schedule. He and his partner Will really seemed to get what we were trying to achieve and I felt like working together would be easy and fun.

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved:

  • planning out a new website structure to reflect the latest brand identity
  • Writing the copy for the pages (I undertook this - but Together helped a lot with templates for each page)
  • Wireframing and agreeing a first design
  • Finalising the design
  • Building and implementing the site in Wordpress
  • Speed optimization and finishing touches

What was the team composition?

Myself and the founders of ClassTag worked and communicated with Cameron and Will over a shared Slack channel. It worked well and we were able to communicate efficiently.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The page speed ratings were very fast, and the site was very functional, even with very large amounts of traffic (millions). The site is beautiful and hit all of our briefing requirements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was effective, we managed to finish the entire project just before our deadline in time for a big campaign. It was always going to be tight but we delivered just in time. Cameron and Will really made an effort to get us over the line, which we appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The way that Together as a brand is reflected in how you work. It was a very collaborative experience, with direct, open lines of communication. When we really needed to hustle to get the website live in time for our deadline, they worked as partners to make sure it happened.

Are there any areas for improvement?

More design options / more diverse possibilities in the ideation stage of the design.

Informed by industry expertise, Together delivered a streamlined and aesthetically pleasing website on time. The team encouraged collaboration and engaged suggestions flexibly to foster an effective engagement. Dedicated to quality results, they worked fastidiously to provide a valuable partnership.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of marketing communications at Shepper. We provide smart asset checks to businesses in numerous different industries including property, retail, and financial services. By combining an app and local people, we can check business assets quickly and cost-effectively.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

In September 2019, we rebranded our business. We needed a new website. The old platform was a couple of pages that featured our old branding and didn’t have a CMS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Together to build our website, growing our platform from two to 20-pages. Their team implemented the latest plug-ins into the backend to support SEO efforts.

Aside from building the site, their team also designed the platform. They helped us structure and execute content including photography. When we started the project, Together had templates of headings, customer testimonials, and support.

Together provided expertise on B2B messaging as their team understood our business challenges. They guided copywriting and created assets.

As we launched the new website our products changed. Together was able to create a product shop mock-up for us.

What is the team composition?

We were in contact with four people in total. In the beginning, we worked with Cameron (Founder, Together) and Will (Creative Director, Together). Cameron was our account manager and brought marketing as well as B2B strategy experience to the project. Will was our designer and an additional person built the website. Reiss (Digital Designer, Together) performed the exploratory work for all our images.

How did you come to work with Together?

My colleague found a comparison website for web agencies on Google, where he came across Together. We looked for an agency with slick design skills that also understood the challenges of a startup in terms of providing a flexible website that would allow us to grow and change as needed. It was important that their team understood the B2B tech industry and could produce a website that didn’t look like any other company’s site.

We looked at their work and were impressed; it was clean and simple. When we met them, the interaction was really dynamic. Together had experience working for B2B businesses, which was valuable.

How much have you invested with them?

We paid £30,000 for the website (approximately $40,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Together in May 2019, and the website went live in September.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Together was agile and passionate about what they do. They will work till 2 a.m. to get the product across the finish line. Their team was cognizant of our deadline. They went over and above to meet it and were prepared to make sacrifices to maintain the quality of work.

Their team was really bright.  Will was exceptional. He had a strong eye for visuals and understood what makes a good website clearly. There are different web design trends, but we liked Together because their sites were slick and modern—a key feature of our platform. When we deliberated design routes, Will wasn’t stuck to what he believed was right, which can be difficult when working with an agency.

Cameron’s understanding of B2B marketing and the tech space was valuable. He helped us map out different aspects of the website, providing templates when we started the project. Their team had the layout of each page such as testimonials and calls to action. They explained the structure and backed up their thoughts with benefits and solutions. That knowledge made the design really slick.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a dedicated Slack channel for managing the project, which was one of the reasons the process was speedy. Everyone on the team was able to jump in. Rather than going back and forth via email, we spoke to each other quickly.

For the copy, Together used Google Docs. We were able to collaborate on them easily. They also used either InVision or a similar tool, where we could add feedback on the site’s design. That was a good alternative to written documents.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a positive attitude and are passionate about what they do. They wanted the website to be good and went the extra mile for us. Often, web agencies get caught up in potential extra costs. Together didn’t do that. Their team wanted to get the project right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could let the client know when their team was running behind or when a decision will impact the timeline. On a project with different stakeholders involved, it can get stressful. Together remained cool and calm throughout the engagement. While their positivity was a strength, it was difficult at times because it could affect our deadlines. They should make the client more aware of the consequences that flipping a date will have.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

We didn’t have the copy ready in advance, which would’ve made the process much easier. There would’ve been fewer design challenges if we had the copy as soon as possible. Make sure the copy is as final as it can be as Together can provide suggestions, applying their design and marketing skills, as well as strategies fast because they have all the information they need to come up with suggestions and conclusions.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of product marketing at a UK-based fintech company that has a focus in the crypto asset space. We’re a wallet provider that works with custodial solutions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

We’ve only been in the market since 2018. Our business built a quick website using Wix to get us up and running. We needed to revamp the platform to appeal to our customer base.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I came on board, the team at Together was far along with developing the backend and designing the full layout of the website. All of the design work was done in InDesign. They transitioned the previous website to WP Engine. Their team also works on the navigation to suit marketing & lead generation purposes. While they’re still working on the website, their team has also worked on other projects for me.

What is the team composition?

I work with Cameron (Founder, Together). Ryan (Senior Web Developer, Together) and Will (Creative Director, Together) are also engaged with the development and design.

How did you come to work with Together?

My business had contracted Together to work on the website before I was hired.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve invested between £25,000– £26,000 (approximately $31,400–$33,000 USD) for all of the work.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Together started in mid-July. There were several iterations of copy before design began in August 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new website is significantly better. It resonates with our brand messaging, give us a storyline, and has a clean layout. The fact that we are working on other projects with them is a testament to how great our relationship is.

We’ve had a lot of personal feedback shared with us from clients and vendors. Right now, we’re in the process of pushing out our first campaign. We have organic finds at the moment. Everyone has been happy with Together’s work. We’ve made a few tweaks here and there, but there’s nothing negative to say. People like the clean look and navigation of the website.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team manages to stay on time while juggling other projects. We communicate through email, phone calls, and Slack. Their team lead and I exchanged numbers, so we touch base on the phone every now and then. Most of our communication is through Slack or email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team at Together has designed graphics for some major events. Everything they’ve created ties in nicely with the look and feel they’ve developed. The brand is carried across different marketing collateral and communications.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their team is great at understanding briefs and client needs. They can translate that into an expertly-designed website. Overall, the experience has been positive, and I have nothing negative to say. They were able to turn everything around in a tight timeframe. The team at Together handles work professionally while remaining supportive.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We're a challenger consultancy based in London. We partner with our clients to bring in digital expertise, offering Teams-as-a-Service solutions to businesses across the UK. I'm the in-house Marketing Manager, and I was the main point of contact on this project.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Together?

We recently underwent a business transformation from a recruitment business to consultancy. Due to this, we looked for an agency to help us rebrand our website to best represent our new business model and service offering. We needed a new design and a more robust, improved website, built on Wordpress.

We were looking for an agency that will give us a fresh new look, adjusted to attract our new target audience. However, we still wanted to maintain the style and the feel of our old design. The challenge was to maintain a perfect balance between the old and the new world.

What were your goals for this project?

It was important for us to find an agency based in London who would partner with us to fully understand our brand, creating a new website that kept the feel of our previous design but giving it a fresh new look in line with the new business style and our service offering.

We were looking for an agency who would provide design, development and copywriting help. We needed this project to fit into a predetermined budget, but we also wanted to ensure we had a direct relationship with the team we were going to work with.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I found Together on Clutch.co. Based on their positive reviews, and a subsequent phone call, I invited them to meet with us. Out of three other agencies that were interviewed we picked Together based on their previous work and initial proposal.

They offered us instant solutions displaying a clear understanding of our brand and situation, gained from the earlier phone call – this set them apart from the other agencies we spoke with. Cameron has also offered us a very good timeline for the project. From the initial presentation to the proposal, everything impressed our team textually and visually.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Together offered to deliver our website with a focus on making it lightweight, high-quality and capable of consistently converting visitors to clients. The CMS was meant to be entirely custom-built, however in a way that allows for any developer to take over in future. We were working alongside Together team to plan and produce this site from the ground up. Together met with us and arranged conference calls multiple times to discuss the strategy and content of the website. They’ve provided us with:

  • Messaging guidance
  • Page-by-page content structure
  • Core copywriting was done by our internal team, but the structure and final round was provided by Cameron from Together.
  • Design and visuals:
    • High-fidelity wireframes
    • Complete site design
    • Custom graphics & iconography
    • Bespoke artwork/illustration
  • Development & Deployment:
    • Complete responsive development
    • Bespoke CMS (Wordpress)
    • Animations & transitions
    • Event analytics installation (Google)
    • Install Meetup.com bespoke integration

What was the team composition?

We've worked closely with Cameron, Will and Ryan. I think there was one more additional contractor hired by Together, but I had no direct contact with him. I was the main point of contact on our side, but the senior team was also involved in a shared slack workspace where everyone could see and monitor all conversations. We had additional marketing team members join at the end of the project from our side, which helped speed up the last section of the delivery.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

After launching the website we noticed a sizeable increase in traffic. Together also made sure that there are no hidden fees and placed our hosting with the same company they use for their website. This allowed us to cut costs on hosting and security.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Together team provide clear Gantt charts identifying a timeline for every stage of the project. We communicated via Slack. Sometimes communication could be improved. In particular, near the end of the project, we had to chase the Together team to ensure our questions and requests were responded to. However, overall, we were satisfied with their approach and how they communicated with us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their design skill is their strongest suit. We also enjoyed working with the Together team. From the very beginning, Cameron has really impressed us with his approach to the project. He very quickly understood who we were and what we needed. His knowledge and experience made us feel like we’re in safe hands.

Are there any areas for improvement?

After launching the site, our team found some quality and usability issues that shouldn’t have got through Together’s testing stage. In the future they should consider testing the site more extensively before the launch. We would also appreciate a clear how-to booklet to their bespoke CMS.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a marketing consultant at ALSO Group, one of Europe’s largest IT distributors. We provide IT products and services to businesses in twelve countries. I manage my company’s service agreement with a multinational enterprise IT company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

We needed to centralize our operations across the twelve countries that we’re active in. My company had multiple marketing campaigns and IT stacks, which made it difficult to control the consistency and timing of our digital marketing efforts.

We decided to launch a central campaign across all twelve countries. The campaign, which is behalf of the vendor whose service agreement I oversee, offers sales and tech training to businesses. Another agency created the campaign’s communication plan, style guide, and basic concept, and we hired Together to build a website. We wanted the website to serve as a central portal and create more consistency and control in the delivery of the campaign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Together designed and developed the campaign website in collaboration with my company’s creative services team. While Together conceptualized the design, my team wrote all of the copy for the site. Together developed the backend in such a way that enables users to create accounts and my team to track user activity, such as what pages they’ve visited, what they’ve downloaded, what training events they’ve signed up for, etc.

Currently, Together is expanding the site to include more features and functionalities.

What is the team composition?

Our primary contact is Cameron (Founder and Strategy Director, Together), who oversees account management and business development. We also work with Will (Creative Director, Together) on the site’s layouts and design concepts. Together brought on a backend developer specifically for our project, and I believe that this individual has joined their team fulltime. My team just began working with another Together designer on specs for the new content and functionalities that we’re building into the site.

How did you come to work with Together?

I found Together on Dribble while I was working for my previous company, and they helped that company with a rebrand and website redesign. When we began this project at ALSO Group, I knew Together was the right fit for the job based on our time scales and resources.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent €40,000– €50,000 so far (approximately $45,000–$60,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work together began in January 2019, and it is ongoing. We hope to continue expanding on this engagement for the next six months, if not longer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project’s core metrics are signups and engagement. Our goal is to register 150 customers to the site, and we’ve gotten around 80 so far. This will continue to rise as we expand into different countries. Both the vendor and internal stakeholders are very pleased with the quality of the website. The quality is much higher than what my company is used to.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly progress meetings with Together. They’re accessible; if we have any problems, we can easily reach them. Their team is also flexible. Since we work with vendors, we often have to adapt to their requirements. Together readily adjusts to budget and scope changes.

They provide clear Gantt charts at every stage of the project. We communicate via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Together’s strength is design. The way they approach UI/UX challenges and interaction design has allowed us to deliver a great user experience to customers and fulfill the campaign’s goal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we launched the site, my team found quality issues that shouldn’t have gotten through Together’s QA process. However, once we raised these concerns, Together fixed them quickly. In the future, they might consider paying more attention to details and putting off launch until the product is thoroughly examined.

The site launched to strongly positive feedback in conjunction with a critical marketing effort. Hands-on, approachable, and available, Together set and followed strict timelines and deadlines to achieve objectives.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of flatfair. We replace expensive tenancy deposits with a tech solution that allows tenants to pay only any agreed damages at the end of the tenancy directly with their landlord.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

We had a website but it was failing on my fronts for us based on the feedback we were getting. We decided to reimagine the entire site. We needed a website that would help us educate the market about something brand new. Replacing the traditional system of deposits to landlords for flat rentals requires educating tenants, landlords, and agents. Similarly, our product isn’t the easiest to understand so we needed to explain the benefits to each of those parties in a clear, coherent way.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Together redesigned our website. They shared mockups and copy with us along the way and found an illustrator for us. They executed the full redesign within about two months. We’re now starting to work with them on a second version.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with two colleagues, one on the technical side and one on the creative side.

How did you come to work with Together?

We contacted a number of web design agencies and asked them to pitch their ideas on how they would solve the problem of educating our market on a complex product. The goal was to have people understand a new way of doing things and how the software solution works with just a quick look through the site. Together’s pitch was closest to what we envisioned that end goal would look like—friendly and approachable but professional enough to project confidence about the product.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2018–January 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website has been immensely beneficial for us. It was completed exactly at the time that we launched a marketing push here in the UK. They worked hard to get us to that deadline in time to meet our marketing needs. We have a lot of traffic to the site and have had strong positive feedback from customers, partners, and even people who aren’t in this industry and are just looking at the website for the sake of it. The site has received a lot of hype from the web development industry.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

They used a project management tool to organize tasks. They gave us very specific timelines and deadlines for each section of the project and would update us if anything was running late or finished early. It was great having two counterparts because we always knew who we needed to work with and where we stood. They were hands-on, very approachable, and always available. Even months after we've completed the work with them, they still support us if we need anything. I'm very happy with the way that they work with us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

On a personal level, they’re decent human beings, which is always good when you’re doing business. With that foundation, it’s great to work together. They’re responsive, hands-on, and down to earth. They understand our restrictions and aren’t pushy in any way that isn’t beneficial to our business. I would highly recommend them.

The complete brand guide helps accurately represent the growing startup. The new website encompasses the company’s goals and brand identity. As a partner, Together was dedicated, receptive and willing to go above and beyond to satisfy all requirements.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Metomic, a London-based technology startup. We provide easy-to-use tools for developers to comply with the GDPR and give consumers transparency and control of data.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

Once we started earning more customers, we realized we needed a more robust, improved website that accurately represented the company. We decided to hire a company to design and develop our new platform as well as support our rebranding efforts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Together provided three main services. To start, we did a full rebranding exercise. They created our logo, color scheme, font, etc. Their team delivered a full package that includes everything we need to present our company online and in-person.

Once the rebrand was complete, Together moved onto designing our new site. They showed us exactly how each page on the platform would look and supplied a PDF displaying the new appearance. From there, they used their designs to develop the website from scratch. They created every page, including the home page, about us page, etc.

What is the team composition?

Will (Digital Director, Together) and Cameron (Co-Founder, Together) led their team through the rebranding and development processes. There were designers and developers involved, but my main points of contact were Will and Cameron.

How did you come to work with Together?

We discovered Together when we were researching other branding agencies. We thought their site was cool and relevant to our business, so we reached out to their team. After Cameron visited our office, we decided they were the best option for us from pricing and size perspectives. We were excited about the opportunity to work with a smaller team.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent £15,000 (approximately $19,800 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project only recently wrapped up, so we don’t have hard metrics yet. However, they produced everything we asked for and more. The quality exceeded our expectations, and all the work was done thoughtfully and efficiently.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

They were responsive around the clock. Even if we had small questions, they were available and willing to communicate. We appreciated their approach to interacting with our team and felt the level of communication was perfect. We would speak a couple of times per week during the engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The level of attention they devoted to our team was reflected in the high-quality work they delivered. Especially considering the price point, they provided outstanding work and dedication to the project. We valued their willingness to listen to our feedback and to do whatever needed to be done to achieve success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They delivered everything that we wanted, so there’s nothing I’d suggest they do to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be willing to dedicate time and attention to the engagement. Instead of just telling Together your needs and only checking in with them at the end, be present and involved throughout the process. They truly listen to feedback and care about the work.

The team produced excellent deliverables that represent the company’s services, vision, and mission with effective use of color and digital channels. They are skilled, dedicated, and empathetic partners who listened carefully and understand the project's requirements thoroughly.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

The Mindful Eye is a consultancy centered on applicational mindfulness to grow organizations, achieving personal fulfillment through the principles of mindfulness. I also work on mindfulness in technology, such as AI, machine learning, and other emerging high-tech technologies, the aim is helping humans become better at what they do, with the use of technology.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

I wanted to connect three areas that were disjointed before—the mindfulness on social media, my speaking engagements about using technology to grow businesses, and a leadership book that’s going to be published later this year. I struggled to connect them in a single digital environment, to effectively communicate the overall vision and message.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cameron (Co-Founder, Together) listened to my vision, understood who I am, what my organization represents, and what its sense of purpose is. I really appreciated this level of understanding which could then transfer into the digital vision of the website.

They connected me to one of their best designers, who arrived at the essence of my organization through branding. They listened, empathized, and created storyboards. We went through two iterations on that and then refined it with a third one. It applies color in a way that conveys focus on serenity and peace.

We’re currently working on my digital strategy. We use digital channels to communicate what the organization’s about, to deliver the strategy, promote the book, speaking engagements, and showcase the values and principles.

What is the team composition?

I mainly interfaced with Cameron, his CTO, and the designer.

How did you come to work with Together?

I did my old website in Squarespace by myself, and it was an important part of my business. That made choosing a team difficult, but Together gave me confidence that they could deliver, and we connected well. I felt that they could capture the essence of what I wanted to do, and at the right price.

What is the status of this engagement?

They started work in October or November 2018, and we released it in January 2019. I’m currently waiting for funding to enable us to go to the next phase.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve done a stellar job of creating my branding and digital presence. I’ve been able to create awareness of my offering, and, as a result, I was booked as a keynote speaker at a FinTech conference. Anything I post on LinkedIn, that links to my website, gets 7,000–10,000 views. I’ve achieved all this without the site they worked on.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

They have immediate responses. We use Slack for project-specific things like sharing files, and WhatsApp for general communication like site rollouts. They’re lean and incredibly responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m someone who believes in values, and they have very strong ones. Their competencies are amazing, in terms of listening, empathizing, and connecting with me at a needs level. This wasn’t just a project for them; they really wanted me to succeed. Other organizations would’ve just done the work and given me the bill.

It’s never possible to scope out every single requirement. For example, I wanted to make sure that some of the pages on the site would be protected with a password, but I didn’t describe it well enough. They did it later, without adding any cost to it. A lot of people can do a good job, but, if they don’t listen, connect, and do it with heart, they might be the best designers and still fail.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s room for growth in terms of expanding their services. I would like to see them add things like Instagram management. We’ve talked about this, and I think they are considering it.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Don’t be afraid to trust them, tell them your wildest dreams and biggest nightmares, and let them figure it out. They will be able to make it happen.

Together’s designs met expectations. It’s easy working with their accommodating team. They pay special attention to their clients. Customers can expect a digital team that delivers on time.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of a swimwear company that’s been in business for about seven years.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Together?

We hired Together to redesign my company’s website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted the website to go through a rebranding — the site needed to be more appealing to potential customers. Will (Creative Director, Together) led the redesign.

What is the team composition?

Will and Cameron (Strategic Director, Together) were my main points of contact.

How did you come to work with Together?

I searched online for small web companies. A smaller company's work is more personalized, and they would give my project the right amount of attention. After viewing and enjoying their work, I chose Together because they seemed friendly and easy to work with.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost between £20,000–£25,000 (approximately $26,000–33,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Together in May 2018, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is completed with the designs I wanted. Their team continues to help with any changes and has been incredibly supportive. Working with their team is easy. Together is fantastic at what they do.

How did Together perform from a project management standpoint?

Cameron organized everything. He speaks to me daily about what’s going on. They deliver work on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is quite small, so they can specialize in their skillset and give a lot of attention to projects.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been excellent.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers should work with them closely. They should also store everything in email, so it’s structured.
