5.0 Oct 5, 2020Our system went down suddenly three years ago. In the dead of winter. XL.net sent someone to check everything out, and he found that the backplane connector had failed. He contacted someone from Dell, who offered to overnight us a new one. They sent the part the next day, and XL.net sent their tech guy out to do the installation. While they were taking our server apart, we got hit with a blizzard, and their tech guy got trapped here overnight. He worked all night, till about one or two in the morning, when we took him to a hotel to get some sleep. We picked him up the next morning and brought him back to get our server up. Our server was back up and running by the time they were plowing the snow the next day, and businesses were starting to reopen. I don’t know how many companies would’ve done that.

5.0 Oct 5, 2020The bottom line is that we’re able to be productive because our IT systems work. IT is a significant portion of our work, and we can’t serve customers if systems are down. While I don’t have hard metrics, I can count on one hand the times things took longer than what I felt was reasonable. I’m not an IT guy, so maybe those times were reasonable as well. They consistently provide quick solutions when we experience a problem. XL.net has been there for me time and time again over the last 10 years.

From the person answering the phone to the rest of the team, everyone is focused on satisfying the customer. 5.0 Mar 3, 2025Usually, they are pretty quick in resolving issues; if something from servers needs to be replaced or they don't need to order it, they resolve it within a day or two when they need to come to our office. Still, if they can do it remotely, they get it done within hours. They do a good job of meeting deadlines and communicating, but if it's just them. It gets complicated when another third party is involved.

When we started working together, I had issues with my computer, and the team responded immediately and made themselves available to meet as soon as possible. The team fixed the issue remotely and very quickly and checked other aspects of the computer, such as Zoom permissions. On one occasion, Chris and Pam came to our office and gave us security and best practices advice. They gave really good advice and were very detailed and thorough.

Moreover, we haven't had any issues securely transferring documents to and from opposing counsel without hacking. Their system works consistently; everything runs fine during remote access and in the office, so they take great care of us. The whole team is excellent; they understand our computer system, so they quickly find a solution when we have a need or question. We haven't had any security problems because they keep us protected. Overall, they've addressed our IT issues very well and have been very responsive.
