I’m the owner, lead architect, and lead facilitator of Khora Architecture + Interiors, an architecture and community engagement company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nucleus Networks?

We needed help with our IT management.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team helped us procure computers, network systems, and servers. They also managed our backup services and security, including virusware. Nucleus Networks helped us set up software on our computers. We also hired them to help us with some physical moves. Furthermore, they worked both on-site and remotely.

What is the team composition?

We had an account manager and two technical staff.

How did you come to work with Nucleus Networks?

I knew Nucleus Networks from a previous company I worked for. They were excellent then. When I started my own business, I asked them to support us with our IT needs. They assessed our needs and put together a proposal. After we reviewed it, we decided to engage them, and the onboarding process started.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $2,000 CAD a month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2008–August 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Nucleus Networks excelled at ensuring we had no downtime. They scheduled everything on the weekend, and by the time we got back on Monday, everything was working.

How did Nucleus Networks perform from a project management standpoint?

They absolutely delivered work on time and within budget. We communicated via phone calls, email, and even a ticket portal if an issue was persistent.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Once Nucleus Networks was our IT support, we didn’t have to think about it. They worked behind the scenes to ensure our services were smooth. This was their major strength.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only reason we moved away from them was that we weren’t able to afford their services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Think about your current and future needs. The nice thing about working with Nucleus Networks was that their onboarding process contained all those considerations.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Enhance Discovery Silver Corp's network infrastructure across its Mexican mining locations: Parral, Chihuahua, Cordero, and Hermosillo. The primary goal is to boost network reliability, performance, and security through the replacement of existing hardware with advanced Cisco Meraki solutions, fortified by APC UPS battery units to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
The project encompasses a comprehensive upgrade of network hardware with Cisco Meraki equipment, accompanied by meticulous pre-staging, labeling, and documentation. Collaboration with a designated Point of Contact (PoC) will ensure that sufficient provision for patch cables and cable management resources will be accounted. This will facilitate seamless installation by a Nucleus consultant to visit the locations Parral, Chihuahua, and Cordero, in Mexico over a duration of up to 7 days. A local resource will perform installations at the Hermosillo location while the consultant will remotely ensure the equipment is brought online.
In parallel, existing Dell servers at Hermosillo and Cordero will be upgraded to accommodate Egnyte Storage Sync services. After local IT performs hardware enhancements, Nucleus will reconfigure these servers with optimized settings, including the Windows Server 2019 operating system and Hyper-V roles for deploying Egnyte Storage Sync services.
Throughout the deployment, Nucleus will maintain close communication with local IT teams to ensure smooth online integration and timely configuration adjustments. The resulting transformation promises increased hardware reliability, elevated network performance, and advanced security for Discovery Silver Corp's operations. The integration of Cisco Meraki technology and APC UPS units reflects our commitment to enhancing the robustness of network infrastructure. This project's success holds the potential to propel Discovery Silver Corp toward sustained growth and operational excellence.
