For example, we recently enacted a six-month retainer with them, and each time, it’s come back up for renewal or renegotiation. They really make sure the updated retainer contracts best meet our current situation and resource needs, and they always explain why they can’t implement certain things for us. We ended up with a very favorable retainer, even though we ended up not using any of the backout cancellation clauses. Now, where we have two systems, but are also trying to cut maintenance costs, they’ve given us another favorable retainer that allows for resource flexibility. I can pop into TECKpert's office anytime, sit down, and they'll explain those things to me. I'm definitely not tech-savvy, but I feel the money I'm spending is being spent wisely because I can see results. I can see what's happening on our site. There's a lot of transparency. If something's up or down, I see it on their reporting, which is awesome. Their reporting is web-based so I can get on anytime and see live what's going on with my site. They're open to anything. Right now, I have a project where I have them doing a technical manual for me, which I wouldn't normally dream of having a web developer do. They've been with us long enough that they know what I do. Even during the process of writing the technical manual, they continued to learn about us and understand us even more. They're always accessible.

I would say the two major things that I've noticed so far: The fact that they are willing to spend a lot of time on the phone. Honestly, I work with websites a lot, so I'm used to working with people who are more the "in the lab" kind of developers. They don't have like the social skills side, where they won't really just sit there and talk to you. They won't kind of BS even that kind of stuff, too, which kind of makes things easier and gets you closer to the person that kind of thing. But, they do that. They actually sent me a gift in the mail, which was really cool. So, they've just kind of like more of a personable approach to the whole thing, and yet they always know when you get down to business.
