Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the cofounder and CEO. We have a distributed team working from 4 different countries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Axiacore, and what were your goals?

We need to build a prototype and then MVP of a product we wanted to launch to the market. We had a tight deadline and we didn’t have the internal resources to complete this project quickly and with the quality required. We started looking for the best technology partner to execute and found Axiacore.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We liked the quality and approach to software development, additionally, Axiacore knew how to use the technologies we needed for this project. We really like that Axiacore has good reputation (we checked with references) and it is a company that is committed to quality and to support open source projects.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We provided the initial idea and designs - but those designs were not complete and Axiacore did great on completing them and on making decisions during the execution of the projects. We had bi-weekly deliveries with continuous integration that we could immediately test in a dev environment. Every delivery was progress on user stories that were testable. Like that we completed the project. Tech stack used was Python3, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Optimized Webpack+ Vanilla JS.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

4 people in core team. With additional support positions for project management and QA. 2 senior engineers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We reduced our time to market by 50% thanks to their support. We also maximized the time of our internal team because during the project it was mostly Axiacore the team that was resolving product issues and making decisions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We used Slack and Notion for management. Some google docs for specs. They use Zendesk for customer support. Most of the interactions were happening via Slack or calls via Meet. They internally use project management software to work, but we didn’t get involved in that part - they did great work on management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Multidisciplinary and committed to writing good code. They are really good at Python to a level they produce code that is good to maintain. Our engineers enjoyed the conversations they had with their engineers and that means a lot.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Perhaps involving the Quality team earlier in the deliveries of the project, that could have saved some time in the final steps of the project.

Tpaga is a financial super, that provides payments, credit, investment to underbanked consumers in Colombia

We needed a quick solution to build a mini app to enable consumers to order food and drinks at a large venue. This wasn´t our core, but since we wanted people to order and PAY within our app, we needed to build this feature and make sure it was integrated within our core.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had met at a networking event, and they were highly recommended by an early employee who had previously worked there. We had 2 meetings and we were convinced they were the one.

We had to work quick, so they joined our team in dailies, worrked side by side with our product and tech team. Used Agile and SCRUM to move items quickly.

We had a TPV of over US$50k with this development.
