OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Olive & Company?

Somebody in our company had a deal with another agency. We were doing a complete rebrand, so we would change everything. However, we finally decided to do more of a brand refresh, and we needed somebody to kick off the website development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Olive & Company provided brand and website development services. They built the site using WordPress and worked on the color schemes and branding, specifically around the icons and other corporate identity elements. A different organization did the brand, but they built the color template and palettes for the website.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a couple of project managers, creative people, and one of the top members of the company.

How did you come to work with Olive & Company?

Another partner company introduced them to us; they were one of five vendors we reviewed. Olive & Company was the most attuned and flexible with the timeframe. Also, they just seemed to get the importance of a simple website, which we needed at the time.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February 2021, and our partnership ended in November 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site definitely increased brand awareness and traffic. Also, it helped to make the organization stand out with the new identity. We no longer look like a garage company, so we started to see an uptick in our legitimacy.

How did Olive & Company perform from a project management standpoint?

Olive & Company was a small organization, but they were very hands-on. They treated us as an important client. Project management was great, and they were highly detail-oriented. The team ensured we kept in line and didn’t drag the deadlines and deliverables. Everything was extremely visible.

They were organized and transparent. They used Basecamp for project management and phone calls, emails, Zoom, and Slack for communication. We were able to contact them whenever we needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail was outstanding. Also, they helped us write and develop our company’s voice. Their head writer came on board and did interviews to help us steer our story because we had a hard time doing it ourselves. Olive & Company came on board and developed the brand identity. Not many agencies do that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were great. We were looking at using them for another project, but it was just a timetable. They were slightly slower, but that’s not a bad thing sometimes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just be honest about what you want and allow them to do what they’re good at.
