I’m the CEO of a health and wellness company for moms and girls ages 7–12.

What challenge were you trying to address with Designify?

We’re in the startup phase of our business, so I hired them to help us build a website. I had an existing website that wasn’t doing my business justice, and it was time to replace it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were aiming to have a site that properly conveys what I do while converting leads to sales. They started with an introductory conversion and site audit, during which they point out areas in the site that could use improvement. From there, they showed me items in their portfolio that align with a service-based business.     

To do so, they spent time researching my customers with questionnaires for insights and direction. It was a detailed process that helped me organize my thoughts and ideas for the project. The questionnaires also managed all of our expectations for designs. 

They created the site from scratch, enabling me to sell my services online. My previous site looked more like a blog, but they expanded upon that as they developed the final site. We moved from Shopify to WordPress to better align with my business. We’re near the end of the engagement now but still working together.   

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Alex (Founder & CEO) on the project. There was likely a team of about four people, including an initial sales representative and a DevOps specialist.  

How did you come to work with Designify?

They reached out to me over LinkedIn while I was thinking about hiring a partner for my website. Establishing trust early on, he met with me on Zoom with a detailed project estimate and timeline. Right away, I could tell they were organized and competent. They were very upfront with information, which was great to see as a business owner.  

How much have you invested with them?

The initial deposit was $1,600 CAD (approximately $1,200 USD), and the entire project ended up costing $4,000 CAD (approximately $2,990 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since April 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t gotten around to testing the site yet, but they made the platform look much more professional. It’s cleaner and organized more sensibly. Even though we haven’t officially launched, I’ve received compliments on the site, and it reflects my vision for the platform.

People have also commented on how easy the site is to navigate, which has been very positive. I’m planning on working with them again for the next phase of the project, which will involve optimizing the site for SEO.  

How did Designify perform from a project management standpoint?

They were prompt project managers— I even had trouble keeping up with them. Alex was responsive when answering my questions and concerns. Their team adapted to my schedule and allowed me to set the pace for the project, which helped as well. When I was in a crunch to get my website completed, they worked over the weekend to ensure I could reach my goals. 

There were a few bumps in the road with troubleshooting bugs and issues that popped up, so I was thankful that they always answered the phone with insights and solutions. Things don’t always go as planned, but they made sure that dealing with problems was smooth sailing.

They used Trello and Pastel to manage the project and coordinate with me. On Pastel, I was able to see the site as they were developing it and input my feedback on certain elements of the platform digitally. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understood all of the issues with the site without me having to tell them. He gave feedback effectively and accurately identified where we could improve. His communication and competency stood out immediately.

Their initial intake site assessment really made a difference for me. They showed what they had to offer upfront, which established a trusting relationship. They’re experts that can communicate knowledge without being at all condescending.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

They may be able to benefit from doing some additional testing of the site before saying that it’s ready to go live. I had one issue with this while we were launching the site, but they were quick to correct the problem as soon as I brought it to their attention. That experience was a testament to their commitment to getting a project done satisfactorily.

Take the time to fill out the questionnaire because it will give them the detail they need to incorporate features into your site that will best appeal to your audience.

I’m the owner of a B2B platform that helps larger companies track and locate employees across the world.

For what project/services did your company hire Designify?

We needed to quickly hire talented tech people to become our primary development team.

What were your goals for this project?

Our initial prototype had visualization which was a bit limiting. We wanted to branch beyond that. We needed Designify to create new charts and UX/UI designs and then implement them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I contacted the top-10 companies from the countries I looked at. I chose Designify because they had an extremely good benefit-cost ratio.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We internally used spreadsheets to track detailed and large-scale operational metrics across manufacturing sites on a machine by machine basis. We effectively overwhelmed the abilities of spreadsheets and needed to create our own tool.

In general, Designify provided infrastructure and data science expertise. They built a data pipeline to aggregate user information from across the world.

What was the team composition?

We had one dedicated project manager who only worked for us. At peak times, we had up to 10 people involved in the work.

Can you share any outcomes from the projects that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re about to shift entirely to the system Designify built. They’ve effectively become our development team. We’re continually tweaking, getting user feedback, and making adjustments to improve the platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their project management is outstanding and state of the art. They use Jira internally and Trello for keeping us updated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It takes a very short time to get access to their resources. Our own supplementary development team was on board within two to four weeks.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can't think of anything at the moment.

Rework my website to be more appealing for consumers and easier to use.

I got a recommendation from a college friend that has used their services in the past.

I gave Designify the outline to my previous website and they reworked it into a more functional and appealing design as well as added in some more useful features. They kept me updated on the process and offered plenty of suggestions to improve areas of my website.

The team was made of three people, one of which I mostly spoke with and directed the others in the direction I specified for my website.

After launching my new and improved website, I started getting more orders and better comments about how it looked and functioned from some of my long time customers.

The website needed upgrading and an overhaul to be more efficient for my customers to navigate and utilize.

To have a beautiful and easy to navigate site for my customers to search for the right individuals for specific projects.

How did you select this vendor?

I searched through a list of the top website builders online and talked to each one's representatives. I was the most pleased with how Designify's rep explained the processes to me.

The project was to build my business a complete and efficient website for my customers to browse and select candidates through. We spoke frequently about how I wanted it to look, and what functions I needed to have within my site. I was sent rough drafts of my site and was able to make adjustments where I wanted them.

The team’s composition was composed of a project manager who I mainly spoke with and received updates from. Then there was the designer and writer for the website.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since creating the website for my recruiting agency, I have had a steady increase in hires and completed projects in the past few months.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed wonderfully by the team assigned and within a week I had my website designed and live on the internet. I spoke to a lead manager for the project who gave me consistent updates on what was happening.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed by how quickly and effectively my project was completed by the team at Designify.

We’re a semi-conductor consulting company that designs and manufactures semiconductor chips. We work with a lot of small startups and larger companies on design, R&D, and development production of computer designs and similar projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with Designify?

We needed a new website. The older one was haphazardly put together and didn’t have a good flow.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Along with building a new WordPress website that fits within our theme, they created a logo for the company. The team also created a marketing plan.

Within the website, they came up with a scheme to convert visitors through contacting us. Designify also had other ideas on how to leverage the user experience on the site. They provided a lot of insight into the image and marketing of the company that I hadn’t thought of.

What is the team composition?

We were in touch with one contact, but developers were supporting them.

How did you come to work with Designify?

I believe they contacted me on LinkedIn. I was impressed with the sample site they came up with, and we engaged with them. I ended up going with that design flow for the current website.

We’ve invested $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Designify from March–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, I’m very happy. It was a great experience. Their work quality is high, and while the impact remains to be seen, I would expect it’s better than before. The developers are talented and smart. They make adjustments as needed.

They provide a timely service. Outside of web development, the team provided excellent feedback regarding business strategy and marketing.

How did Designify perform from a project management standpoint?

I dealt with a responsive project manager. I was able to get in touch with him frequently. They used Trello at first, then switched to another management software. Both were good, and the latest one allowed me to make comments on different aspects of the site.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a lot of good feedback for me. Every time I had a suggestion, they would get back to me and let me know if it made sense or not. I appreciated that approach. It felt more a genuine partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a few small things, but overall, I was happy. In the overall scope of things, it was seamless.

The whole process went smoother than I expected. They know how to execute these projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality was amazing. I didn’t expect it to look that good, and I really like it. It was very easy to communicate anything that I didn’t like or I wanted to change. They were very accessible. It had a really big impact for our customers.

How did Designify perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very efficient overall. The communication was very easy and Alex was clear with setting expectations. We used Trello to brainstorm, share ideas, and documents. It was nice and user-friendly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a good team of people. Everyone did a really good job. Their business model works well in all areas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could look into anticipating issues and have a reaction prepared. We had a few bumps that they responded to well.
