The Review

ResellerClub is the hosting and domain name provider of choice, especially for Windows services. They provide an impressive array of services at really competitive prices, which are more affordable than taking on the same services directly. Their transparency and security offerings are attractive to large and small customers alike.


Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a digital marketing firm and we provide marketing, web, and mobile application development as well as other IT solutions.

What was the business challenge your company was facing that initiated the need for this platform?

We came across their company in 2002 when we were looking for a solution to be able to sell domain names to the customers for who we were developing websites. We were comfortable with them and never thought of going anywhere else.


How does your company implement this platform or software?

The primary thing we use them for is domain names but we also use their hosting because it fits our customers. What attracts us more to them are their security solutions such as SiteLock and Codeguard because security is very important in today’s world.

There are three or four people from our team that interact with ResellerClub. They use their interface to contact them or make tickets. Ideally, you only need to contact them when you need support, otherwise, it all goes through an automated system.

What type of client is an ideal candidate? Who should possibly avoid these platforms?

I would say that they would fit into every kind business but at different levels. For a small to medium-sized company, they provide solutions for selling since they’re in partnership with various providers. For large corporations, they provide excellent services such as Codeguard, G Suite, and more. People who sell through them have access to their huge network of resellers and customers, which isn’t easy to come by if you do it directly.

What cost factors should clients keep in mind when considering this tool?

The pricing that we get from them is brilliant and we’re able to offer our customers a great price. This aspect is pretty straightforward as they’re very transparent. There’s no commitment to stay with them and you don’t have to use all their services. It’s really up to each customer.

Was your company considering other platforms? Why this platform?

We are very comfortable with them. I tried looking for other providers in the past but didn’t find anything as good as ResellerClub.

We have our own internal server for our direct customers. We use them for everything else including Windows hosting, servers, security systems, domain use, etc. We always try to sell their services to our customers and the best part is that it’s 100% white label, which matters a lot for small to medium-sized businesses.

On an annual or monthly basis, how much does your company spend to utilize the platform?

We spend approximately $200 to $500 per month.


Can you share any success, metrics, or overall results of your implementation of this platform?

ResellerClub helps us compete within the market at a time when other providers are offering the same service at a much higher price, which has had a big impact. They also come up with new services at very competitive prices.

For instance, we contacted CodeGuard directly and partnered with them in order to sell their product directly to our customers without having a third party. However, the pricing that we got from ResellerClub for the same thing was much better than what Codeguard was offering to us directly. They’re brilliant at getting an excellent price and then offering it to their resellers.


What are the features or tools of the platform that have most impressed you?

They offer several products as a reseller, which works well for us because it enables us to offer those to our end customers at a good price and a decent level of support.

Are there any areas of the software that could be added or improved upon?

The support process is slow at times—they need to work on that. They could also work on their interface as well, which isn’t a big deal but it could be better.

Have you had to interact with the platform’s support team or reference their support resources?

Overall, our contact with their support has been positive but I feel that they could be a little more proactive. Their support system is a little slow, but their service is good.
