We needed to switch from using single EC2 instances and locally installed dBs + since RDS instance for our applications to something that is manageable and scalable. After collaborating with the consultant, we settled on using AWS ECS. They helped with restructuring the web service, the database services, and changed up our CI/CD process. In addition to redoing the architecture that allows for scaling, they also helped with setting up logging within CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

Objectives were discussed, and then scope for each of the tasks was set. We then laid out milestones that were to be met for deliverables.

Switching to a new architecture is not so straight forward, so some deadlines were missed. This was due to searching for the right setup, such as ECS Fargate or ECS EC2. We also reviewed the use of some open source logging and metrics applications. We had to make a few switches here and there, which was no fault of the consultant. Overall, deadlines for different items were met as needed. We continue to collaborate to implement the best tools. We continue to collaborate to overcome hurdles so objectives can continue to be met. The consultant has been very responsive, which allows for the project to continue moving in the right direction.

They are attentive to details, and they reach out for clarifications when they do not understand certain directions. They're quite communicative, which is great. Many consultants have a tendency to go silent and the customer has no idea what is being done or if deadlines will be met. This consultant has been there to help since bringing them onboard. The communication has been great.

He was tasked with rebuilding our AWS backend. We had previously had it built by another DevOps contact but it was full of bugs and would regularly crash. Since looping him in he's been able to rebuild the servers, improve the performance and reduce the number of errors.

Codetokloud Inc has successfully provided the infrastructure for our platform. We’ve recently moved everything to the cloud, and the development system works there. We’re also getting the logs and monitoring we were looking for. The whole CI/CD process works well, and the team's work has met our expectations.

Codetokloud Inc has delivered on time and within budget. We communicate via Google Meet and phone calls and work off a diagram. We also use email.

Codetokloud Inc’s biggest strength is their innate knowledge of the core data center infrastructure and the flow of the CI/CD process. This knowledge is what has gotten this project done.
