Many of the things that people are most responsive to, came directly from Small Planet. I’ll just give a small example. In the app there are emojis. When you select different emojis for your mood or body symptoms, or you’re tracking your period, they populate these little bubbles. When you move the phone they roll around. That was an idea that our lead developer at Small Planet came up with and we were sort of like, “Yeah, maybe, but it sounds like a lot of work. We probably don’t have time to just spend. Let’s think about it later.” He, over the weekend, did it just to show us what it would be like. When we saw it, we were like, “This is the best thing about this app. This is so funny. It’s so great.”

They have a neat system, too. If you want to keep things organized like me, they have this Excel spreadsheet, which is really a good way to go. You see something you don’t like on the site, you type it into the Excel spreadsheet, you email it to them, they note it, they tell the developers, and they return it back to you and tell you it’s done. It keeps everything nice and neat. This is a really nice system they have. They’re also really personal. They’re really warm about that. They allow for human interaction.

They always had a positive mindset, even when we made requests that other agencies might consider unreasonable. Towards the end of the project, we requested that they significantly increase the size of the data sets without fully realizing how much work it would entail. They were able to quickly and accurately identify all the necessary steps to achieving that goal. Also, we had to completely redesign the site and rebuild several features a month before project launch, and the Beyond team understood the necessity and stepped up to the challenge with absolutely no complaints.

Quovantis Technologies acts like our partner for us as we build our business. They're very flexible and helpful. I can go to them and ask for a person for a month, and they'll help us get there without a high overhead. For example, we needed really short-term help from a designer. Quovantis Technologies set us up with a designer for a few weeks without mandating a 6–12-month commitment.
