Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Product Lead. We are building a B2B SaaS platform. Still in stealth so can't provide many details there.
For what projects/services did your company hire Quovantis Technologies, and what were your goals?
We hired Quovantis to develop the the software side of our business because they scaled more seamlessly than in-house devs. They're creating our SaaS platform and are doing it thoughtfully and diligently.
How did you select Quovantis Technologies and what were the deciding factors?
We had a personal reference recommend Quovantis, and they had a good experience. We were too early stage for in-house devs, and we also didn't want to work with one-off contractors.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Quovantis has built a fully-fledged Django + React platform on top of AWS.
Key features include:
- 2 sided marketplace
- Campaign functionality (email + text)
- Analytics
- Admin logins
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
4 people in the core team –– 3 developers (2 senior full stack and 1 backend dev), and 1 QA.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Very solid deliverables, they follow good engineering practices and are diligent about their work. Consistently hit the stories allocated for the sprint. We are still working with them today.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Project management was pretty straightforward. We had 2 week sprints, with everything living in Jira. We did 30 minute daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint closing over video calls. Have been working with them for over 1.5 years now.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are up-to-date on the latest tech and feel comfortable coming up with solutions to problems that they've never seen before.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Design work could be more diligent, we had a couple experiences with designs that weren't inline with what we expected. We started using an external designer. Haven't been any other issues.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder of Lunch With 4 Interesting People, LLC.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
I have a platform that I use to help train advisors on how to facilitate lunch meetings. We got a lot of traction, but I was hoping to make it available on people’s phones. It had to be easy to use as people are moving to a more mobile environment.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Quovantis Technologies developed and designed our mobile app. They created both an iOS and Android version of the platform. Their team included location services, allowing users to chose the radius in which they want to see people. They were also responsible for the UI/UX design of the platform.
The app allows people to connect through their phones and social media. As a host, you’re able to be very discerning about who you invite to lunch. Lunches can be publicized, so other users can see who is eating lunch together. It is driven to help executives, business owners, and community leaders to discover new opportunities or deal with any issues they may be facing.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we instituted virtual lunches which allow people to connect with others from home. We also created a charitable side of the app which we're continuing to work on with Quovantis Technologies.
What is the team composition?
We had two main points of contact that we met with on a regular basis, including Kitty (Director – Project Development), who managed the day-to-day, and Guarav (VP of Engineering), who managed the back office. There are also another four people who were in and out spending on the stage of the project. We also worked with a development team from Quovantis Technologies.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
I looked at multiple web development companies, but Quovantis Technologies came highly recommended. Once I met with them, I knew they had a really strong team. Their CEO came out and met with us. They came in with all guns firing and did a great job.
How much have you invested with them?
We have invested around $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement began in February 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve gotten incredible feedback from our users. We have several thousand active users. Quovantis Technologies is very responsive to helping us change and evolve the platform in response to feedback. Although COVID-19 has not helped us, they adapted and helped us create the virtual lunch feature. We’ve got some incredible opportunities coming up. It’s been phenomenal overall.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Quovantis Technologies always within a day or two of deadlines, if not early. The team is very responsive and detail-oriented. They helped keep us on track. I felt very comfortable working with them. Our teams communicated via email and text and held regular phone calls and meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Quovantis Technologies’ empathy really stood out. It was clear that they cared.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything is great. Anytime an issue came up, they were transparent and receptive to feedback.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Tell them what you’re lookign for and be honest. Don’t be afraid to jump in and say how you want things done. They’re very receptive and they want feedback.

iOS & Android App Dev with Chatbot for Healthcare Company
“They bring great recommendations that are best for our business, budget, and timeline.”

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a mobile app in the healthcare space. We’ve been around for about 18 months.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
We needed help creating our app concept through execution.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, we hired them to help build our proof of concept along with an alpha model. We started with some consulting on our chat idea, and they suggested an app so that it would be more robust. From there, we went into app concepting and development, which covered everything from design to technical execution for an iOS and Android app.
One of the biggest features in a conversational AI chatbot, which has an elegant onboarding feature for user signup. There’s also a health record component that builds a database from the chat that users can access.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 1–6 people from their team, with a project manager as our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
My cofounder referred me to them and he’s worked with them before. We also used them for development at my last place of business. The pricing was competitive and I liked that we had a state-side project manager.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $130,000 to date.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2019, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
One of their big successes was getting the app into the Apple store and the Play store by the deadline. Their ability to build to chatbot with the requested functionality is also impressive.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They meet all deadlines when possible. Anytime there’s a missed deadline, it was due to a change in scope or not having a resource from our end. We use Slack to keep in touch. Our project manager always uploads meetings notes and a sprint plan after our weekly standup.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They feel like a strategic partner. They analyze my business and bring great recommendations that are best for our business, budget, and timeline. They’re a true partner that can do the work that’s needed while achieving the best path for my goal. They’re always willing to go after the goal I’m going after.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to have a clear view of what you’re trying to build or what you need from them. Make sure that you’re available to execute and give them everything they need to be successful. You don’t want to leave them waiting for deliverables on your end.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Omnibron Inc is the manufacturing, sales and operations company that produces Fozzy Football, the greatest American-riles football game ever invented. I am the founder and President of Omnibron Inc.
For what projects/services did your company hire Quovantis Technologies?
Quovantis was hired to produce the mobile application that is used in conjunction with the physical board game called Fozzy Football.
What were your goals for this project?
The goals for the development Project were to create an attractive, well-designed and intuitive mobile app, to do so affordably, and to tackle the effort in iterations.
How did you select Quovantis Technologies?
The company was highly recommended to me from a colleague in the IT industry. I had spoken with a couple of companies and Quovantis seemed to be best positioned to be interested in a small development effort and also interested in growing with the app over time.
Describe the project in detail.
An extensive requirements document was provided. We spent about a week ensuring a common understanding. Estimates were developed based upon their review of the document.
We also collectively developed “optional extras” that included cost estimates for items that were not considered necessary for a minimally viable product. After giving approval for the project, I would communicate at least weekly with the Product Manager. I participated in testing.
There were some changes/enhancements that were approved that resulted in additional costs. Ultimately, the finished product was exactly what I wanted.
What was the team composition?
I may be off here but I believe there was a Product Manager, a Technical Lead, a UI Designer, 2 testers and 2 developers. They were not all assigned full-time.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Omnibron Inc is a new company and Fozzy Football is a new product. The mobile app enabled the launch of the Fozzy Football product for sale to the public.
The application has been week-received. The plan is to enhance the mobile app over time.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow with the Quovantis team is outstanding. I never feel more than a phone call or email away and the Product Manager and Tech Lead are super responsive and timely to any needs that may arise.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The quality of the work for the prices they are able to charge is outstanding. So, the value is the strength of Quovantis.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I’ve not encountered any areas that I felt would need improvement.

Frontend Dev & Design for Computer Software Co
"We value that their team pushes design as an important factor in products."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Ephesoft helps organizations maximize productivity and fuel their journey towards the autonomous enterprise. I help contribute to that journey as the director of software engineering at Ephesoft overseeing all development of our SaaS-based platforms.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
We needed additional resources, specifically for frontend design.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Quovantis Technologies provided a UX/UI designer and a frontend engineer to work as part of our development team. Their team works on a couple of our new SaaS products that are desktop-based web applications with mobile capabilities. For those products, their team managed frontend design and development. They implemented a large portion of the frontend development in Angular using typescript. Their also designed mockups and wireframes for all of the different interactions and screens.
What is the team composition?
We collaborated with two key people and a team manager regularly. On occasion, we worked with additional people who supported design efforts and reviewed the products.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
The company hired Quovantis Technologies before I started. I believe our company was interested in them because of their design philosophy. They positioned themselves as design-focused, not an engineering-focused organization that also does design. They pushed the quality of UI/UX designs as part of their process.
How much have you invested with them?
Per year, we spend a little more than $100,000 with Quovantis Technologies.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2018 and have no end-date for our collaboration.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From a qualitative perspective, Quovantis Technologies does a good job. They get quality work done in a timely fashion. Their team collaborates with ours throughout the entire development process. They try to go above and beyond for us. I don’t have independent metrics because Quovantis Technologies works as one part of a larger team.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via Slack, Zoom, and pull requests. They meet deadlines and keep us up to date with the status of their work. More than other contractors, their team requests additional work when needed. Their team's available and accessible, joining sprint retrospectives and other meetings. We meet every day as a development team and they always join even though it's the middle of the night for them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
A couple of Quovantis Technologies' qualities distinguish them from competitors including their willingness to be available and work with us in our time zone. They set their schedule to work well with us. Their team communicates and integrates with our team well. They get a lot of good quality work done. If they run into any challenge, they work around it or start on another task. Their team doesn't throw their hands up as I’ve experienced with other contractors. We value that their team pushes design as an important factor in products.
Are there any areas they could improve?
For what we pay, their team has done an awesome job. It’s hard to pinpoint an area for improvement based on what we pay for the resources. If they wanted to provide higher-level resources, they could provide more in-depth architecture and research behind UI/UX decisions.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’ll produce a lot of work, so have people ready for review to keep them moving. From a design perspective, have people ideating what needs to be designed. Keep work in the hoppers and provide them with quality feedback.

Please describe your company and your position there.
NowRx is a tech-focused pharmacy startup. We use logistics, robotics, artificially intelligent chat bots, and patient analytics to transform the business of pharmacy and reduce costs to the health insurance industry through improved medication adherence.
For what projects/services did your company hire Quovantis Technologies?
We worked with Quovantis to design, build and implement the full suite of products to run the business. From Core Pharmacy Management Systems to Customer Apps.
What were your goals for this project?
This project needed to create a complete system that runs the entire business. This needed expertise in diverse technologies and stacks including high-performance, distributed backend in Java and a SQL Database. Front end application in Angular and mobile apps in Java, Swift and React-Native.
How did you select this vendor?
I had worked with Quovantis off and on for a number of years with small tasks/projects. They always delivered a high-quality product to my expectations. When we were planning on this particular project, I had detailed and serious conversations with the Quovanits team and was convinced that they had the capabilities to execute on the extensive development plan we had.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Quovantis team designed the system from wireframes for the frontend to simple backend scaffolding. I had extensive sessions with the team to bring them up to speed on the business needs and context. From that point, we moved on to actual implementation and delivery. The implementation needed very specific domain knowledge and the team built it up from documentation and extended sessions.
What was the team composition?
The team included leads for Backend, Frontend and Mobile sub-teams. The overall team was made of 8 including engineers and testers. Senior team members also played the role of project managers. We did change the team mid-stream to adjust for changing business and technical requirements as we learned more about the challenges.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The project was launched successfully and today the entire business generating $10MM in ARR runs on it. We are currently working on improving business metrics by tweaking the production software.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used a variety of distributed development tools such as Jira, GitHub, Skype etc. to manage the process and to keep in touch. This has worked well for us as is evidenced by a successful launch and continued growth of the business based on this platform.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The amount of time and effort spent by the organization towards personal development and growth. This is almost intangible, but does result in a stable, energetic team. And the team delivers results!
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of at the moment.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the President of Adventure to Learning. Used by schools and teachers, we are a video streaming service for educational content for kids from preschool through eighth grade.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
We have over 50 programs and 7,000 videos on our platform, and we needed an easy way to manage and host all of our content.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we worked together to develop user stories. This forced us to ask questions like: How would people be coming to our website? What would they be looking for? What is the result they want? Using the answers that we came up with, we designed the platform and determines how we wanted to serve content to users.
We wanted to incorporate AI so users can find what they want in a more efficient way. For example, we wanted it to be like an automated playlist that users could search through. Finally, we discussed the backend analytics and how we wanted to use user data effectively.
The designs brought our idea to life, and once everything was in order, they started on development, using Angular for the frontend, API, .NET Core 2.2., as well as Azure for our CMS.
What is the team composition?
We had a team of six people including a salesperson at the beginning of the deal, a project manager, a lead engineer, a few designers, and junior engineers.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
A mutual acquaintance recommended them. As a startup, we were looking for a company that would help manage the process and would work within our lean budget. From a design and cost perspective, they were perfect for us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $90,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2019 and the project is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve already launched the paywall portion of the site, and plan to launch the backend at the end of this week. So far, feedback has been fantastic from teachers and schools who had used our old platform.
Quovantis Technologies has done a fantastic job, and the new site is definitely an upgrade. Our advisors are happy with the new site, and so are our content partners. As thrilled as we are with the end result, our partners are excited about how their videos are positioned on the site.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a great job holding our hand throughout the process. I don’t know much about software engineering, but they’ve been very helpful. One thing that makes them stand out is that they think critically about our business needs and give great recommendations. They’re strategic, which helps them create effective products.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Project management has been very impressive. They’re responsive to our needs and have executed everything quickly. As a bonus, we get a great value for what we’re paying.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’ve been great partners and have completed everything quickly, but the information gathering process took a little more time than we hoped.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish and set priorities. Sometimes, you just want to do everything, especially if you’re a startup. We threw a lot at them, and we probably would have benefitted from focusing on smaller chunks rather than forging ahead on everything.

iOS & Android App Dev for Health Entrepreneur
"Many of our patients are pleased with the app."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a healthcare company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
I wanted to improve my services to increase the results and value of our weight loss program. I needed someone to develop mobile apps that would keep people accountable and on track.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team at Quovantis Technologies is developing my iOS and Android apps from scratch. I first spoke to one of their main reps, and he suggested an app to facilitate scheduling. I began thinking about an app where people can chart their weight, their process, their eating habits, and their water intake. Within the app, there would be a visual reward.
Through communicating with the rep, he said their team in India could create it. He first presented me with different plans and milestones to reach. After he gave me the price, we began planning before he sent the project to his team.
What is the team composition?
My main contact is local, so he relays messages to the India-based team. A couple of times a year, the owner stops by. In India, there’s someone who oversees the project, an administrator, and someone who is in control of the build.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
I chose them because our main contact was a patient of mine. We discussed the project. He is full of integrity, so I didn’t look elsewhere.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent between $30,000–$40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Quovantis Technologies started in February 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
At this point, the app is usable and functional. Many of our patients are pleased with the app. When I’m pitching my program and have a certain price, patients will ask me what’s included. They think the app adds value, which gives me the option to increase my price point. The app serves its purpose.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
From a project management standpoint, they’re good. We have bi-weekly video conference calls where their team shows me their progress. We use Google Hangouts and Skype. On the calls, the local contact rep and two other team members are involved. We’re in contact at least once a week.
My main contact stops by the office frequently. I mainly give him input and ask questions directly. We will text or talk, and he will relay messages to his team in India.
What did you find most impressive about them?
My point of contact is always available when I have questions and pushes his team to make me happy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Overall, everything has been good. At times, I felt it was a little slow progressing, but I also understand that a lot of back and forth comes from them needing my feedback.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Get a specific breakdown of costs. I trust their billing, and I recommend asking for this upfront. It is nice to know the exact value of the hours put in.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of a sleep and dreaming app company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Quovantis Technologies?
We reached out to Quovantis to build our app for iOS.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Quovantis developed an app from scratch for iOS, designing much of the artwork and UI. I provided some direction, while their team created designs, coding, and wireframes. They also provided iterations and incorporated my feedback before ultimately launching the app in the App Store.
What is the team composition?
I worked with the CEO and a project manager, who looped in the designers and developers on calls as needed throughout the engagement.
How did you come to work with Quovantis Technologies?
They were recommended to me by a friend. I was very impressed by some of their other design work.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $15,000–$20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from around April–November 2018. The app was ready before November, but there were some approval delays on our end for a couple of months.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app just recently launched, so it's still too early to report any performance metrics but they've helped us make a great first impression. So far, the response has been positive–users are impressed by the overall design of the app. Quovantis built a beautiful and professional app with a unique UI that stands out from similar dream apps on the market.
How did Quovantis Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They were never late to meetings and were very flexible around my hectic schedule, despite our time zone difference. I appreciated the number of iterations they provided, the way they incorporated our feedback, and their overall responsiveness throughout the project. We mostly communicated through regular meetings, and then they'd send out email summaries of next steps. The CEO also showed a lot of interest in the work, so the amount of attention we received as a client was exceptional.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They spent a lot of time researching and understanding ways they could help us meet our goals. For example, we wanted to implement a tone feature in the app to send users “reality checks” throughout the day that they would then hear in their sleep. We didn't necessarily have a vision for the type of tone we wanted to use, but Quovantis' team researched tones associated with spiritual traditions that gave a lot of great context to the feature. That's just one example of how they went the extra mile for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open to their design suggestions and don't hire a developer based on price alone. Quovantis offers so much more than just development services. Their designs and creativity has offered a lot of value to the app they developed for us.
While the project remains in stealth mode, the stakeholders are impressed with Quovantis Technologies' solid and consistent task deliveries. They're developing the platform with diligence and thoughtfulness and they follow a no-nonsense workflow, much to the delight of the client.
