We couldn’t talk to the founders of other companies. Blake, on the other hand, was extremely personable. We never felt that he was removed from us in any way. With other firms I’ve worked with, giving feedback could often turn into a difficult conversation, but with David, not only has there been a minimal need to give him feedback, I’ve never felt uncomfortable giving it to him when appropriate. It was very collaborative, and we were treated more like design partners than like clients.
