Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and owner of Rittenhouse Handyman. It’s a small handyman business. I’m also a co-founder of Inkegnito, it’s a custom kegerator business. Franklin Digital does work for both businesses.
What challenge were you trying to address with Franklin Digital?
We wanted to boost our online traffic and increase our visibility.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Franklin Digital first handled my web design. They got me up and running; it’s been SEO from there on out. I haven’t spent any money on advertising. It’s just been keywords and whatever magic they’ve worked in the back to drive traffic to the site.
Recently, I changed the domain name for the kegerator business, and they shifted everything from the previous domain name to the new one. I was having problems with my website loading slowly. Their team did a lot of work with optimizing images and setting up Cloudflare accounts to compress things. If the website goes down, they handle it. Also, they got me SSL certificates.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with Luke (Founder).
How did you come to work with Franklin Digital?
I went to college with Luke. He posted online that he was starting his own company, and I reached out to him.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested about $5,000–$6,000 for Rittenhouse Handyman and $20,000–$25,000 for Inkegnito.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in February 2012.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve had 2,700 forms submitted through our Rittenhouse website since 2012. That is a significant amount for not doing any advertising. For Inkegnito, we average about 50 visitors a week. What’s more, the photo optimization and compression efforts drastically increased the load time of my website.
How did Franklin Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Luke is great at communicating. We get on the phone, and he deep dives into the details. He dumbs things down if I need it, and he’s never arrogant about it. Luke sends strong emails with attachments and embedded images that he writes captions for. Communication has been swift and solid.
The response time is good. Maybe once in a blue moon, I have to follow up with an email that slipped past him. However, that’s normal with anybody. I wouldn’t call attention to a lack of response or anything. Luke is always quick to jump to action and get things back up and running.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Luke has excellent personal skills. He has a great sense of humor and is fun to work with. We always open a conversation by having a couple of laughs and then dive into things by getting serious and detailed. He has the ability to shift gears from humor to deep technical conversation very easily; it just makes him a joy to work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything. He’s always done everything we’ve asked him to. Plus, he offers additional guidance or recommendations.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Follow through on what he suggests you should do. If he says to take the time to write a detailed blog post, do it because it works. Take a leap of faith and do what he’s asking.

I’m the founder and president of The Divorcierge.
What challenge were you trying to address with Franklin Digital?
After working with several web designers in the past, I was unhappy with the results on the site. We needed a partner who was reasonable, affordable, and capable.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’d been working with another service provider that didn’t produce designs up to my standards or requirements. When I found Luke (Founder, Franklin Digital), I was comfortable in his ability to deliver what I needed.
We had several meetings in which we should make suggestions and he would listen to my needs for the site. Regardless of how many changes I asked for, I was able to evaluate the work and he would make adjustments in WordPress according to my feedback.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Luke on the project.
How did you come to work with Franklin Digital?
They came as a referral from a trusted friend of mine. There were two other vendors I was considering at the time, but I was most confident in Luke’s capabilities.

The project lasted from September–October 2019.

Everyone who’s looked at the website has given it praise. Most importantly, I think it really represents my business. He had the ability to visually articulate my vision, which was critical.
How did Franklin Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated a few times each week through phone calls and emails. Even though I wasn’t the most efficient in sending him content, he was able to weed through everything without a second ask.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I kept waiting for the ball to drop because I made so many demands and changes until he got it right. My requests were never denied, and the value was very clear.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It may have been helpful to have a more centralized flow of communications between us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
He was very receptive and good at what he does.
The partner's traffic and lead generation have increased as a result of the dedicated efforts. Franklin Digital possesses strong communication skills; they explain technical details in layman's terms and write thorough emails. Responsiveness and great personal skills are hallmarks of their work.
