This made it very easy for me to get the job done. The initial project timeline was set to around 6 months by Liaison Technologies, but we finished 2 weeks ahead of schedule and on budget. I've been working in this field for a long time and find it very unusual for a project of this kind to finish in this manner.

With the business analyst and project manager, we’ve been able to capture what’s been going back and forth as well as documenting different questions we have on a board of Q and A. Any questions we have, we put it on the board and we answer it. We also track questions and answers that we’ve had throughout. All the communication is accessible. We can even transfer that to the technical lead seamlessly. It’s very impressive to be able to see all that. It’s a good idea to communicate expectations ahead of time. Being frank and having transparency has made us successful. Give them an idea, and they’ll be able to follow through in and make that idea a reality. Also, constant communication has made our relationship successful. Having daily meetings is key to collaborating with any external or offshore company. It’s definitely worked for us.

We’ve definitely experienced some project friction with Aware, but it’s never been insurmountable, and more importantly, they approach setbacks with an opportunistic mindset. The barriers and challenges we’ve faced have actually helped both of our companies work more effectively together. At the end of the day, the best service providers are the ones that strive to form symbiotic relationships with their clients. In other words, they’ve the ones that go the extra mile to comprehend the problems and goals on terms set by the client, rather than terms set by themselves.
