A real estate firm hired JMR Technologies for their staff augmentation services. The team provided programmers to help build new components on the client's platform and assist with other development projects.
The resources provided by JMR Technologies delivered exactly what was needed. They impressed not only with their skill set, but also their strong attention to detail and knowledge of various technologies (e.g., Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes). The team was communicative, focused, and timely.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
GetHome is a platform that offers apartments and houses for sale and rent. The offers come directly from developers and real estate offices. I am the Head of Product responsible for the development of GetHome.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire JMR Technologies, and what were your goals?
We were looking for an extension to our team. We wanted to create new architecture elements that might replace the current workflow in the future. We were in the moment of expansion and needed to quickly fill in our programming needs.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have talked with multiple vendors, but JMR had desirable candidates that we decided to integrate into our team. After the initial interview, we have agreed to cooperate with one of them full-time.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
JMR was responsible for creating new functionalities that were supposed to be added later on to the GetHome platform. There were a few blocks that their programmer was working on. One of these blocks was API import service; the second was related to data migration from the old database to the new database.
On top of that, JMR has helped us with two Python packages – client for API and database models. Technologies we were primarily using were: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have decided to begin with one developer with the possibility for the extension in later stages.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They have delivered what they were asked for. They are working at a good, stable pace, and their programmer was paying attention to the details.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We cooperated using Scrum methodology, running daily meetings, and regular planning. We have established a ClickUp workspace platform, plus we used Slack for quick communication and information exchange.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were serious about their work, and they never hesitated to ask us questions. Their communication level is good, and we are happy we could collaborate together. We will try to cooperate in the future if we find enough space in our projects.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing comes to my mind.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We needed assistance with software development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
JMR Technologies has been helping us augment our internal development capabilities, mainly around web development. They’re an embedded contractor for us; they build some of our internal applications from the frontend to the Python backend, helping our technology stack be a more modern application.
We started with some legacy applications, but we began to build applications from scratch after that. It’s a collaboration where we talk about best practices for architecture, design, and some of our application requirements.
In terms of technologies, we use Python, Django, AWS, and React, among others.
What is the team composition?
We’ve been working with two engineers from their team.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We found them through Clutch. After a few interviews with other providers, we decided that JMR Technologies stood out with their professionalism and attention to detail during the interview process.

How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They need a bit of extra help in this matter, but overall, we’ve had open communication that helps me address any issue that arises. In terms of tools, we mainly use Jira, morning video calls, and Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re genuinely invested in my product and want to make it succeed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their management should touch base with me more often. Usually, it’s quiet, which is sometimes a good thing, but an occasional check-in would be helpful.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront and transparent with them about what you’re after with the partnership.

JMR Technologies provides custom software development services for an automated translation company. They work on the client’s web platform, doing backend work on Django, React, and MySQL databases.
Through a joint effort, JMR Technologies has impacted positively on the revenue, increasing it by about 800%. Moreover, they’ve streamlined development, and the team has been reliable, skilled, and responsive. They follow the client’s lead and are good at planning, delivering, and communicating.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of external relations. We’re a company within automated translation focusing on e-commerce.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
They help us with software development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
JMR Technologies works on backend development. They mainly help us with Django, React, and MySQL database. We provide them with specifications and relevant documentation so they can complete the tasks that we give them. Overall, they help us with our web platform.
Team members work on an hourly basis. We schedule them for full-time, and they’re part of our team. The deliverables are the stack work that we agree on, and we work with sprints and traditional software development.
What is the team composition?
We currently have two consultants, and we’ve worked with five different mid and senior developers over two years.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We responded to their outreach. They contacted us, and we asked them a couple of questions. It sounded good, so we moved forward.
JMR Technologies had skills in Django, which isn’t hard to find, but it was good to find it. Also, their location was convenient — they were based in Poland, which isn’t far from us. Finally, we had a good meeting with our CTO and their team, so we decided to try.
How much have you invested with them?
On average, we spend $12,000 per month. In total, it’s around $250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in March 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We started with them when we were in our growth stage, and it’s been a good partnership. JMR Technologies is an integrated part of our team, and they’re always there to solve any issues. Also, they’re very skilled and efficient.
We’ve had a good couple of years. It’s been a joint effort, but we’ve increased our revenue by about 800%. Also, they’ve probably completed more than 2,000 tasks. We’ve increased our development capacity with them, so we’ve been able to develop the platform much faster. In general, JMR Technologies does a good job estimating, planning, delivering, and communicating. There have been issues here and there, but they’ve been responsive and quick to fix anything.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Our collaboration is set up so that we do the project management side. We have daily standup video calls with the team to go through the work done the previous day and the tasks for the day. Also, we use Jira as a project management tool.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very reliable, skilled, and responsive. If there are issues, they get back and ask questions if they don’t understand something, which isn’t always the case with other companies.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
When we started with JMR Technologies, we had interviews with the candidates and did code tests to know what to expect from the developers.

JMR Technologies helped a financial firm's customer to build their MVP using Django and SQL Database. Users could have different roles in the server and they could manage articles, add pictures, and more.
JMR Technologies successfully finished the MVP's first iteration. The client appreciated that they were able to dramatically improve the quality of their testing efforts as the partnership progressed. They were also open to feedback and insights, allowing them to foster strong collaboration.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there?
I’m co-founder of a financial services firm, and we aim to help startups develop their platforms for business services.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We were looking for an agile partner that could develop a high-quality MVP using a limited budget.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a workshop and shared with them the roadmap, UX, and system materials we created with our client. After that, we walked them through the process of the product and shared our client’s end goals.
They then developed the MVP of the platform, and some of the technologies they used include Django and SQL Database. Features such as the ability for different roles in the server were integrated by the team. Some of the roles include being an owner and an employee.
The platform also had an area where editing of articles could be managed and subtopics could be accessed and compared. There were guides that enabled users to describe anything with a process such as how to install something and how to print a guide, too. Furthermore, users could add pictures, texts, and open fields.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a front- and a backend developer as well as a project manager. There was also a junior developer for a while, but his coding wasn’t good.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We found them on Clutch. Out of the 4–5 companies I spoke with, this team was different from the beginning. They truly listened, and they wanted to help us. They also met the technical requirements we had.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent €100,000–€110,000 (approximately $114,000–$125,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–November 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our first iteration was done and we’d now focus on looking for investors before continuing the project. JMR Technologies started with a lot of bugs in their work and struggled with bug resolution for a time. However, they showed great improvement and were able to deliver releases that were tested for different platforms with higher quality as our engagement progressed. Overall, we were satisfied with the partnership.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management perspective?
JMR Technologies did a good job. The team was open to feedback and suggestions for improvement. There was some lack of communication, especially in keeping us updated, but it was resolved later on. We primarily used GitLab and communicated through Slack and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They built a good and close relationship with us. On top of that, their management was quick to respond whenever we had issues or concerns.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have explained their internal processes better. They also could’ve had a better testing strategy, which would’ve made the timeline quicker.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know your requirements and have them well-documented and easily understood by everyone.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Global RADAR, a financial and trade screening SaaS company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We needed new members to support our software development pipeline.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve initially engaged JMR Technologies’ resources to aid our onshore team in expanding and updating the code work for one of our programs. The application is part of a huge contract for our new client and requires constant updates to ensure ideal performance.
After JMR Technologies has accomplished their coding deliverables for our existing platform, I’ve tapped their resources to work on developing high-speed screening functionalities for our new application. They present development solutions, and our team examines these to test their efficacy.
Once finalized, we incorporate those features into our primary application. Our team then submits these segments for the client’s approval before we can launch these in a pre-production environment.
What is the team composition?
We work with 5–6 resources from JMR Technologies, including their president, project manager, developers, and programmers.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We chose JMR Technologies among their competitors because they understood our needs and had the willingness to collaborate effectively with us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $250,000–$400,000.

As a software company that relies heavily on customer satisfaction to succeed, we appreciate their team’s commitment to helping us produce quality software solutions.
I can confirm that our clients have been happily using our applications without any problems in functionalities or compliance requirements — their positive feedback is our main success metric for JMR Technologies’ work.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They have exceptional project management skills, which makes for a smooth workflow. They deliver on time, communicate well, and value our feedback.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re most impressed with their team’s flexibility and ability to deliver our exact needs — it’s why we chose them in the first place.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I can think of.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of Rocket Impact. We mainly deal with games and apps for smartphones.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We’re primarily responsible for working on a mobile game with a fitness component. We hired JMR Technologies to help us develop it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our company was in charge of how the product would look and interact with the user. JMR Technologies was the main developer; they helped us build the system and backend from start to end. We used the Unity Engine to develop almost all of the game. The game relies on the smartphone’s built-in GPS tracking to track physical activity. It also connects with different social media accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google.
What is the team composition?
We had 6–7 team members at the height, including artists, UI designers, and developers. It fluctuates at any given time.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We were interviewing a lot of different outsourcing companies primarily in Eastern Europe. We wanted to take advantage of affordable teams while avoiding significant time zone differences and language barriers. We came across Clutch and found it helpful to look at people’s reviews and the average rates that vendors charge. That’s where we found JMR Technologies.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent £100,000 (approximately $130,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2015, and the project is ongoing. The bulk of our development took place over two years. Over the last year, we’ve ramped down to fix bugs, but we’re still in constant communication.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The general feeling is pretty satisfied. We’re still building our user base by engaging with smaller groups, and those users like the app and the potential.
Our relationship with JMR Technologies is more of a partnership. They give input, analyze, and research our ideas instead of just doing what we tell them to do. That results in better suggestions and reducing the costs of things — a must since one of our requirements is sticking to a tight budget.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very good. We use tracking management software like Redmine and GitLab. They prioritize the right tickets and clarify anything that needs it. Any time we have a problem, request, or comment, we can reach out to them and receive an instant response, even for small inquiries. The level of communication is good.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very motivated to go beyond the initial scope. When we were interviewing companies, other vendors were still questioning things on their second or third meeting. With JMR Technologies, they would go and build different class systems, features, and other things to streamline our processes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
JMR Technologies could probably use more experience in game development. However, they’ve learned a lot from working with us, so it’s only a matter of time before they’re a complete development studio.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront with your vision of the product or service and your priorities. Let JMR Technologies be part of the journey. They’ll do a great job.

Accurately understanding the goals of their partner, the developers have successfully integrated into the company’s agile development team. Augmenting the internal staff, their customer service skills and diligence are appreciated. They effectively use communication tools to stay on the same page.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a technical architect for a case management company. We have an in-house product that helps law firms manage their cases.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We brought in JMR Technologies to expand our capacity to produce some of our technically focused products.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have a document-centric desktop product and a cloud product. The two products have the same features, they’re just dispatched differently. They spent most of their time building out and updating the desktop application. Later into our engagement, they started working on the cloud-based product as well.
Their teammates are fully integrated into our team, functioning as part of the springboard. I send them tasks that are part of the current sprint, and they operate just like any other in-house developer would. They mostly assist with bugs and small feature development.
What is the team composition?
Initially, we were working with two full-time developers and one part-time developer. We kept the part-time developer on board for about three months. Now, we just have two full-time resources.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We were referred to them originally and decided to meet. Once we discussed our project together, we decided to give them a shot.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in December 2018 and are still working together.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We brought them on to augment our team, and they did exactly that. They’re customer-oriented developers with a solid understanding of basic coding standards. Their developers provided exactly what we needed without facing any sort of learning curve.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We work in an agile environment using sprints, and they’re fully integrated into our springboard. They receive tasks and are expected to complete them just like anyone in-house. They’re also a part of our standups through Microsoft Teams. We also use Skype on occasion.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They complete tasks according to our timelines and expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They were able to jump right into our agile work processes after a month of getting used to our company. Other than that, they fit right into our operations.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m CTO and Head of Research and Development for a Swiss company that develops tools for the sports industry to measure human motion.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
An existing partner had developed our hardware but we needed accompanying software with a great interface and easy UX. We knew what we wanted to develop. The software is based on new laboratory research. Our goal was to make it easy to use for any kind of sports coach.
We had developed software in-house but our team is specialized in iOS, not Android or web-based development, so we needed those skills.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
JMR Technologies built the prototype for the software and is now building the final product. It runs on our existing hardware and integrates with existing APIs. It’s a big and complex project. We did all the design on our side, including the mockups. They followed instructions and built to our specifications. The design has been respected; it looks exactly like what we projected.
What is the team composition?
We work with one developer.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
We were looking for someone to do this development for us when our CEO met someone for whom they had developed a mobile application. We contacted them and had a good feeling about them. I visited them in Poland and we decided to do the project with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2017 and it’s ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We found someone that was able to build our vision both in design and functionality. UX was really important to us and we have a tool that is easy for everyone to use and understand.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Our developer has managed the whole project and done a great job. He’s always available for me and responsive when we have problems or need something rebuilt. They’ve managed time well and stuck to our timelines. We needed presentations, for example, that were always ready on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re responsive. They’re always available and able to react if anything happens or if changes have to be made. They can offer different solutions to solve the problem very quickly.
They also offered us advice on certain things based on their experience to make them easier than we might have anticipated.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think there’s anything else I need from them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
For me, they did the job right. If you know what you want and you give them the right idea of it, they’ll be able to do it.

“The programmer did a great job of working independently and researching solutions.”

JMR Technologies supplemented in-house developers to write custom software modifications for an insurance verification portal. They built backend databases, set up hosting, and incorporated multiple plugins.
Their programmer was highly capable and worked well independently in order to complete deliverables in a timely manner. She had a good grasp of all project components, came up with effective solutions to deliver the features we needed, and responded quickly to bug reports.

transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO for a company that provides compliance solutions to financial institutions. We provide security tools to protect against fraud and money laundering.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with JMR Technologies?
We had a client last year who wanted to make substantial changes to a custom software within a short period of time. Our in-house developers were already working on a lot of other projects and couldn’t complete it fast enough, so we hired a team to help us out.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our client was an insurance company that needed to be able to verify if the names on policies were also on a government-published list. The developers absorbed those lists into our web-based software so that the client could search for them. The lists are stored in an SQL database and hosted on a server, and then the software was built using a .NET framework, C#, MVC5, and Bootstrap. There are also API plugins and some JavaScript functions.
What is the team composition?
We had one developer working with us. One other person oversaw our account, but I didn’t work with him directly.
How did you come to work with JMR Technologies?
I initially talked with a contact in India who didn’t work out, so after that, I did a web search for other companies that were cost-effective and spoke good English. My boss is Polish, so he liked the idea of a Polish company. We contacted several companies by email and JMR was the only one that responded promptly. We had a conference call on Zoom and liked their team enough to sign them on for the project. I later traveled out to Poland for a week to meet them face to face.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from January–March 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m a longtime programmer myself and I’ve both seen and managed quite a few other programmers. Sometimes when you hire a new person or team, it can take a while before they fully understand the work. I used the site visit to assess their developer and ensure that she could carry out our objectives without much supervision. I was really satisfied with how she tackled the problem we gave her and the solution she came up with. She also handled challenges like bugs well and delivered great customer service.
How did JMR Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re responsive—we’d send an email and hear back within an hour or two, even during the holidays when many businesses slowed down. We mostly used Skype to discuss requirements and issues with the project. Since they were working remotely, I ended up going to meet them in person so we could establish a solid line of communication and ensure an efficient knowledge transfer in terms of project goals.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The programmer did a great job of working independently and researching solutions before asking someone else to assist.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I only worked with the programmer, not the business end, but I’d recommend being a bit more thorough with testing. I recognize that young programmers sometimes want to impress you and push the software out quickly, but I found a few times that the testing hadn’t been done everywhere and some things needed correcting. That said, any bugs were corrected very promptly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be patient about delays. Sometimes we’d have to wait an hour or two to get a response on an urgent matter.
