I’m the lead developer at Franklin Templeton, an investment management organization. We support the portfolio managers and the researchers to write the models and help them make tools that will help them make trading decisions.

Advanti helped us with 3–4 major projects, but this task, in particular, was for a unique gateway house. They were vocal about their offerings in terms of their platform for entity mastering and integration. Our company wanted to build its data warehouse, and Advanti had the perfect product offering.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We would not have been able to do this without them; they minimized the time and delivered much faster than expected. Initially, when we started working with Advanti, the overall process took almost eight hours, reducing it to two hours. We didn’t have uniform loaders, and when they came in, they gave us a consistent way of loading data from different systems — that helped us a lot in streamlining that process.
How did Advanti perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of communication, we used Jira and had weekly sprints. When the project was towards the finish line, we had daily standups.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have good knowledge of financial data and understand it way more than simple IT vendors.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The requirement phase should be clear. If you’re not clear enough, they won’t be able to deliver value.

They’ve delivered what we’ve expected in a timely manner; they’ve set all the milestones they’ve needed to accomplish within nine months. Thanks to them, we already have full-fledged data store with all of our trade and intraday market data. Above all, they’ve done a good job in minimizing bugs and issues.

They have a strong project management process, and they really put in the effort to make sure the project expectations are set properly. Their excellent leadership has allowed them to be involved and stay hands-off whenever necessary. As an example, they allow their analysts and our internal team to do the project.
