The initial objective was to establish a maintenance team to support internal tools. However, this goal expanded to form a team capable of managing new feature development, tool maintenance, report generation, and process optimization across the company’s development functions. Key Challenges 1.    Transition and Team IntegrationDispite the complexity of the application, the UniRidge team successfully transitioned project ownership from an external development team within a condensed timeframe. This was achieved by comprehensively reviewing existing cloud infrastructure, source code, and documentation.   2.    Collaboration Goals Between Wonder and UniRidge ·       Standardize and enhance the existing cloud infrastructure used by Wonder's application ecosystem. ·       Conduct an architecture review to identify and address software weaknesses. ·       Optimize resource allocation to reduce infrastructure costs. ·       Modernize outdated technologies. ·       Standardize solutions in preparation for an independent external audit. ·       Oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of the software platform.   Transition Results   In just three months, Wonder successfully transitioned project control from the external development team to UniRidge. The newly formed team, consisting of a QA/Scrum Master, two senior full-stack developers, a technical lead, a senior data engineer, and a data analyst, quickly integrated and surpassed the previous team's performance.   Ongoing Development and Support   The UniRidge team continues to support end users while developing new features and conducting in-depth technical analyses. They have identified several key issues and are implementing solutions to achieve the highest level of technical performance.   Third-Party System Integration   The team has successfully integrated multiple third-party systems into a unified platform. This includes centralized data management for automated billing, ensuring full transparency of financials, and creating a system with minimal errors.

Year in Review: Achievements by the UniRidge Team

Over the past year, the UniRidge team completed a comprehensive code and architecture review, addressing key performance challenges related to handling large volumes of data.

Significant optimizations were made to the cloud infrastructure, resulting in a nearly 25% reduction in infrastructure costs.

Agile processes were implemented to maximize the efficiency of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring faster and more effective project execution.

Additionally, PowerBI reports were developed for C-level executives, enabling deep data analysis to support strategic forecasting and decision-making.

Ongoing Commitment
Today, the UniRidge team continues to drive value by developing new features, providing exceptional support to end users, and continuously improving the client’s systems.

Transitioning from mobile food trucks to brick-and-mortar locations in 2023, Wonder aims to reach 35 restaurants by 2024 and 90 by the end of 2025, leveraging back-office processes to sophisticated software solutions.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We successfully launched a comprehensive business ecosystem encompassing mobile applications and a website.

In the first month alone, the app achieved thousands of installations and garnered a substantial number of active users.

Currently, it boasts a significant global user base. The app has also received recognition from notable organizations, including ABC-Disney and the Northwest Territories Government, further validating its impact and reach.

For now, We’ve been able to triple our leads.

In addition to high quality work, always, we felt like they were an extension of our team, a real partner, with the same enthusiasm as if they were part of our company.

Not really. The only issue we ever encountered was when one team member was assigned and her quality of work did not match that of everyone else assigned. But we worked through it with no problem.
