First, how their team works with AI. I use AI tools heavily myself; I move fast and change direction often, and a typical agency would have kept selling me the standard discovery-design-develop cycle. Cleveroad rebuilt their process around how I actually work. Their PM stopped being a project manager in the usual sense and works more like an AI product owner: he takes a feature idea, uses AI tooling to build the prototype in our real application with real code, and deploys it to a link. I click through it, test it, show it to a customer, and once I approve it, that same prototype becomes the specification the developer builds from, so nothing gets lost in translation. I get a new version twice a week instead of waiting on a design round. I haven't seen another partner work this way.
