We put together small team (3) of front end developers with experience of Angular to work on our complex selling application. The goal was to fix issues discovered during Heuristic evaluation (around 120 tasks) and improve outdated parts by putting in place new design (around 30 tasks).

I have searched online for IT agencies with best review. I have cooperated with 3 agencies and carried out few interviews. At the same time appeared new candidates from source close to our company. Candidate from Jimmy Technologies finished given task with excellent quality in comparison with other candidates. Also his skills and experience were very good match.

At the beginning of project we started with fixing layouts which were not responsive. There was need to provide responsive layouts without using any framework. After we focused on fixing other UI issues. In second half of project we started implementing new designs.

We worked with Angular 7 and 8. During our development we used web components from our UI library. We have organised ourselves using Jira.

We managed to complete more than 80% of tasks from 154, which were good result as one of our resource needed to help with other complex tasks. We have improved applications usability and provided better experience for our users. Management were satisfied with good results and wants to continue with the initiative, but with internal resources.

We had weekly stand-ups, but communicated through Slack almost on daily bases. We organised our tasks using Jira. The communication was professional and without a problem.

Jimmy has 1 product owner responsible for gathering and shaping our requirements and he ensures that Jimmy's development produces the product according to our needs and requirements. The solution architect is involved in high-level discussions regarding used tools, technologies and architecture. Their engineers are in touch with our tech team and they align on DevOps and other processes or operations. We use Google Space for communication. Task management is in Jimmy's JIRA where we have access. The development took longer than expected due to several influences incl. changes in the chatting provider and also additional requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication and professional approach. We integrated Jimmy guys into our team for seamless development and collaboration with multiple business departments like legal, design, marketing, and customer support.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the beginning, we had to align our procedures and how we develop new products but after this initial phase everything was very smooth.

Jimmy developed the PHP library for the largest identity verification service in the Czech Republic used by large banks and institutions. The goal was to develop OICD library with advanced, scalable architecture and connect it with the BankID solution. The whole delivery was totally bugless.

In terms of the whole project, PHP stack was required. Jimmy made the analysis, defined the architecture and developed the project incl. testing. They did an epic test suite so we can easily integrate our new customers into BankID. They also prepared nice documentation and helped us with updates of our documentation

Jimmy delivered a high-quality solution, with clean code and easily scalable architecture. They also identified a few weak spots in our testing environment and helped us improve them. The project was delivered on time and within the budget. There was no bug in the delivery.

They used Kanban for the development. The communication and management were steered by the Project manager but we were in touch with their whole team. We also had access to their JIRA and code repo, so we could see the whole progress of the project.

- The high-quality solution and engineering approach of their engineers focused on finding the best solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The delivery has very nice architecture, and high-quality code, and the whole cooperation was smooth. We were within budget and time. We'll cooperate with Jimmy for other projects or extensions of this library.

The scope was to develop the frontend part and CMS. The frontend part was divided into "regular" websites and 3D models. For CMS, they chose headless CMS Storyblok to decompose products data and present them on the website in a form meaningful even for outsiders.

We and our client were really satisfied with Jimmy's output. The website has very good performance and meets all requirements and parameters we wanted. We decided to continue the cooperation with Jimmy and extend the application and develop together also other projects.

We also needed to implement analytics to be able to track the user engagement and did the right measurements.

We've done some significant changes in offered services at the estate and reconstructed one of the main buildings. We wanted to start the new season with a fresh website. Jimmy could provide high-class UX/UI for a decent price which convinced us.

After that, they implemented changes. We did this in several iterations. They guided us through the whole process. After UX was finished, they started with UI. They organized a workshop to sketch the mood board to be able to draw UI. The UI work was fast. After this phase, they started the CMS and frontend development.

The website came out really well. We are satisfied with the website and the outcome of Jimmy Technologies' work. We can easily edit and maintain the website and see all analytics we need. They also provided us with CMS and analytics training.

We extended the cooperation for several months.

The communication is done online using Slack, Jira, emails and Google meet. The developer has daily timeframe he needs to work. We have another 1-1 meetings with Jimmy management where they control the quality and our satisfaction. The cooperation lasts at least 6+ months.

How quick they were able to deliver a guy we exactly needed. The communication and quality control process from their side is very good and impressive. They are also able to solve or help with any issue.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

HYPOX.cz existed only in the blueprints before we started our collaboration but over 15 sprints, it became a tangible and functional solution and our new service. Guys from Jimmy showed a deep understanding of what we do and helped us build viable a web application in a strictly set timeframe, which was essential for us. Our collaboration is still ongoing as we now focus on adding new features and improving the whole experience.

Jimmy's development process is one to learn from. Their product owner always keeps us updated about everything that's going on, and thanks to their transparency, I have access to all viable tools where the work happens. The delivery was always on point and happened in the timeframe that we fixed together. Also the communication is very good and response time are very short. We once needed a quick fix during a weekend and everything was running again in less than 2 hours.

We have collaborated for more than a year, and of course, you see things that you could have done differently after this time. But that's not something I would blame Jimmy for.
