TechNexus designed and developed the AutosToday website from the ground up, building a front-end with advanced vehicle filters, dealer and private-seller listings, VIN history integration, AI-assisted pricing, lead capture, and messaging functionality. The technical focus was optimizing search speed and SEO performance so the marketplace could function as a discovery platform rather than a static listings catalog. They handled all UI/UX design, system architecture, database design, and full development.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We hired TechNexus to design and build the entire website as well as the back-end infrastructure based on our requirements. The project is live and has been running for over a year now.

A full-time project manager was assigned to our project; every epic and story was nicely managed in Jira. We meet weekly to review progress and assign priorities.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Performance was not treated as a cleanup. Server rendering, code splitting, image handling, and search behavior were part of the build from the beginning. For an automotive marketplace, that changes everything. You cannot bolt speed onto a slow listings site after the fact, especially when organic traffic and search experience are central to the product. What I appreciated was the absence of panic later. We were not sitting there near launch asking why the pages felt heavy.

I'm the COO of RSPNDR Technologies, a public safety technology company. Our platform closes the information gap between citizens and first responders.

What challenges were you trying to address with TechNexus?

We had a concept but no product: citizens create QR-coded tags for homes, vehicles, pets, and property, tied to owner-controlled medical and contact records, and verified first responders scan them in the field to pull information and message members. We had three non-negotiables — instant real-time performance, a security model that shares citizen data only with verified responders, and architecture that scales to millions of users. And because we're not a technical organization, we needed one firm to own it end to end.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Everything from design through deployment and beyond: a Community app for citizens, a Professional app for verified responders — both on iOS and Android from a single Flutter codebase — a React/Next.js web platform, and a Node.js backend on AWS with real-time messaging on Firebase and Socket.io and subscription billing through Stripe. They remain engaged today, delivering ongoing feature releases.

We primarily had one convenient point of contact but felt supported by/engaged with the entire TechNexus team throughout the mandate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TechNexus has taken RSPNDR from a blank page to a complete, production-ready platform across iOS, Android, and web, delivered from a single codebase on a realistic timeline and budget. The three requirements we set at the outset have all been met and validated in testing: the real-time layer — scan alerts, live messaging, push notifications — performs instantly and reliably, the security model shares citizen data only with verified responders exactly as designed, and the architecture is built to scale to millions of users. As we prepare for launch, they remain our development partner on ongoing releases.

How did TechNexus perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time, and the process was genuinely low-friction for a non-technical client — proactive updates, fast turnaround on feedback, risks flagged early rather than discovered late, and trade-offs explained in plain language we could act on. We communicate through virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their grasp of the public-safety context, not just the code. They understood from day one that in an emergency, latency and data leaks aren't annoyances — they're disqualifying — and they built to that standard. That, and the fact that we never had to stitch together multiple vendors: one team owned the whole stack.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Two minor points. Early estimates on a couple of the more complex real-time features shifted as scope became clearer — tighter upfront documentation of those edge cases would have helped. And more detailed written test reporting at each milestone would have made it easier for our internal team to track coverage. Neither changes the overall grade.

Our brand perception is higher since we do high-end work and intricate installs. We’ve also received positive external feedback; we look more professional.
