We hired Mystic Media to assist with transitioning EICA’s operations from a traditional in-office server to a fully web-based, cloud-hosted environment. The scope of work included a comprehensive review of our existing IT infrastructure, migration of all data and internal systems to a secure cloud platform, and configuration of remote access for our staff. Key deliverables included a complete server migration plan, data backup and recovery protocols, integration with our existing applications, user account setup and permissions management, and ongoing technical support throughout the transition. The project was completed with minimal downtime and greatly improved our accessibility, reliability, and scalability moving forward.

The most measurable outcomes from the project were the speed and smoothness of execution. The entire transition to a web-based server was completed in just one week, well ahead of schedule, with zero technical issues or disruptions to our daily operations. Additionally, staff experienced immediate improvements in system accessibility and performance, which has enhanced our overall efficiency. The seamless rollout and lack of post-migration troubleshooting clearly demonstrated the success and effectiveness of the project.

They successfully migrated our entire data infrastructure from on-premises servers to a cloud-based environment with minimal disruption. The transition was conducted after business hours and coordinated closely with our previous IT service provider to ensure continuity and accuracy. Remarkably, the only downtime experienced was approximately 20 minutes per workstation, which was required to complete necessary updates. The entire process was seamless and well-managed. In addition to the migration, they updated all our desktops and laptops, significantly enhancing our system security. They continue to provide reliable, ongoing IT support, including regular follow-ups to ensure everything is functioning optimally and to proactively address any issues.

The results have been outstanding—our security is noticeably stronger, remote access through the VPN is much faster, and their team is incredibly knowledgeable with lightning-fast response times. It’s been a major upgrade across the board, and we couldn’t be happier with the support we’ve received.

Our app has launched and has been very stable since launch, CMS functions quickly and well. We had some issues getting the app live on iOS but those were addressed quickly and under warranty from Mystic.

Overall strong project management, especially as we've gotten into a working rhythm together. Mystic Media has stuck to committed timelines and worked flexibly with us to address project changes and increases to scope.

The ticket management software they use is a challenge, didn't play well with our outlook setup so had to login to it directly. That was ok most the time, but created challenges when working with various partners on the same ticket.

Our project consisted of a database with a user interface to allow quick and easy entry of daily operational parameters. The database is broken down by plant, then by pollution control equipment type, then by units associated with each equipment type. The user interface is intuitive and can easily be learned. The database allows quick set-up of new users, plants, and control equipment. The database can be easily queried and produce reports for a given timeframe.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The user interface is intuitive and easy to use. The database is flexible and allows entry of different operational parameters for each equipment type. The query and reporting features of the database allow more frequent check-ins during the reporting period and streamlined reporting which allows us to more closely track equipment performance and make corrective actions more quickly.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Mystic Media is responsive to specific user needs throughout the process. Depending on the magnitude and deviation from the original scope of work, they were upfront with the cost of changes throughout the project. When I had questions, I would receive a response within one business day or less in time. Mystic Media provided YouTube training videos which I foresee us using in the rollout of this database.

We have several different users of this database, some with limited computer skills, and this will allow frequent refreshers on demand. Mystic Media has always been upfront and responsive on delivery. Even when the project was delayed on our side, they quickly worked us back into their schedule when we were ready to resume.

When they propose a schedule, they kept to that schedule. It has been easy to work with Mystic Media and they always explained issues at a level I was able to understand (I have limited programming experience).

The end product. The user interface looks good, is easy to use, and is organized efficiently. We could tell that their products were developed with the end user's needs in mind!

I’m the co-founder and CEO of a co-working company. We’re opening up co-working spaces across the country.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mystic Media?

We needed a company that could develop an app for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mystic Media has built an iOS, Android, and web app for us. They’ve also designed and developed our website and all of the features that go along with it. The site allows us to add locations and give information about our products, and the app is where residents and non-residents can sign up, subscribe to be a member, and store their payment methods. 

We started the engagement with a discovery phase, where we discussed the items that we needed. From there, they built the frontend of our website first and designed our logo. Next, Mystic Media developed the backend of the site, which involved integrating our payment merchants and various APIs into the site. They also set up a WordPress blog on the site. They’re responsible for maintaining and updating the site as needed.

After that, Mystic Media built the MVP version of the app. We’re currently in the app’s testing phase, but they’ll be adding additional functionality into the app as we get ready to release it. Eventually, users will be able to book conference rooms as well as access other locations using the app.

I’ve worked with 5–6 people from Mystic Media.

I found Mystic Media through online research.  We chose them because Chris (President & CEO) was very thorough and transparent about what they could and couldn’t do for us.

We started working together in November 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

The app is very crisp and clean, works really well, and it's designed exactly how we wanted.

Mystic Media has performed well in terms of project management. They’re incredibly responsive and have an organized ticketing system. They also take feedback well and are open in terms of discussing the options that we have and explaining why something works the way it does.

Hey there Clutchers! I'm Nick Uthe, the Head of Marketing at Bean Trailer headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've been at the company since the first trailer sale and as of today, we are the fastest growing teardrop trailer manufacturer in the US!

We wanted to develop a camping app for our Bean Trailer owner community. Camping in a teardrop is an alternative method to escape the crowds, spontaneously go on adventures, and explore the roads less traveled. Many of our customers are new to this type of camping and are unexperienced overlanders so we wanted to provide a tool for them to easily locate and rate campsites and BLM area that works specifically for our trailers.

We vetted and interviewed multiple agencies. Mystic Media had great reviews and we were happy to find a local dev agency based in Salt Lake City! We could tell Chris had a lifetime of experience and was a great fit for our company.

Starting out we had the UI and much of the logic cooked up so we handed the backend off to Mystic to get us into the Apple and Google Play Store. We didn't have many plans in place for the admin portal but they did a great job filling in the holes and getting us a product we had envisioned.

I primarily interacted with Mystic Media's owner, Christopher Silvestro and his support team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After releasing the Bean There Camping App, 90% of Bean Trailer owners downloaded the app, hundreds of campsites have been created, and our community is having a great time using the app to find unique campsites.

Mystic Media knew the development game every step of the way. Chris and his team were diligent and I felt confident that the work was being executed correctly.

For a 1.0 mobile app release, I'd give Mystic Media an A+. If they want to be more impressive, they could hire extra quality/ui designers to add extra zest to the animations and user experience. This would be a way to provide more value to the client in area the client potentially isn't able to communicate or envision.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

So far the app has not been officially released. All beta testing is looking good. We are having more issues with Apple and being able to setup an Enterprise account than anything else, otherwise, we would have released the app by now.

The project manager is easy to communicate with and he provided a web interface for feedback so that all involved in the development and testing knew what was happening. Additionally, he made at least weekly phone or personal contact to review the project with me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They quickly got the user interface up and most of the functions done for which I was very pleased. The communication between the app and the door controller is with hexadecimal commands. When there were issues our engineers that developed the custom tool were able to spot issues and clarify command structure to their development team in a timely manner

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could have tested functionality more closely at the beginning. We eventually prepared a software integrity form so that they were testing the same way that we were testing.

We had a prototyped idea of game/ social platform that we had taken as far as our abilities could. We needed help not only with the development stage of the process but also determining device capabilities to set our expectations for the software. Turns out we needed even more than that.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Mystic was able to quickly determine the viability of the prototype and provide a very clear and reasonable estimate of the services requested. This along with their experience in the type of hardware and GPS function we were looking to utilize made our decision very easy.

We had an initial meeting to go over the project in detail. After the project was green-lighted, we were wrapped into Mystics management software where we had access to all information relevant to our project. From billing and payments to web and mobile development tickets, accessing information and organizing communication have been a pleasure.

The process was started with a master development “Bible” that was assembled with our input to clearly lay out the scope of work. Once complete, the wireframe was started and this was where we got to see the type of creative Mystic was capable of. They took the very rough drawings of our ideas and created a beautiful and clean UI that far exceeded our expectations. Once the wireframe was established we moved into programming.

The project is unique and came with many challenges that could only be addressed as we found them. Through multiple rounds of development, testing, brainstorming, and problem solving, we have taken on each challenge as a team and the results have been great. The project is coming together and the product is shaping up to be world-class!

The process has been smooth and the multiple resources utilized seemed to be administered at just the right times to keep it that way. Unfortunately with the COVID-19 restrictions on interactions, we haven’t been able to meet the individual faces behind these resources but their impact was felt nonetheless. Project management, user engagement creative, artwork, software development, and quality control all have been noticed and we are appreciative of the quality work they each have done.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcomes at this point are only measurable by Mystic seeming to exceed our expectations at each step. We are hopeful to have measurable outcomes of the project through industry reception to share within a few months.

Mystics project management style has been very inclusive of our input and is highlighted by the ever-present access to their software. It’s great to have this available for communication and review of where we are with the process. Communication has been key with this project and Mystic is always available. Never once have we felt ignored or lacking information. This has been a very noticeable quality.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Mystic Media has been a very easy company to work with. Straight forward, overly helpful, and extremely capable. They have made what could have been a very frustrating project into a pleasure.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I struggle here because the only thing that could have made the process better would have been in-person meetings but this had absolutely nothing to do with Mystic and everything to do with the unfortunate timing of the project. I communicate best in person and truly enjoy that interaction. This being said, Mystic more than made up for the COVID disconnect through their prompt communication and unquestionable willingness to take any time necessary to make sure we were on the same page. I thank them for this in particular.
