Software Mind came out on top in every metric, and not just a little bit on top. They were miles ahead of the others we were experimenting with. The quality of their work was excellent, they were robust and professional, and they actually implemented solutions, rather than just doing what the product manager thought we needed. Working in finance, people get really upset if you lose their money. Making sure that what we deliver is well-tested and robust was key, and my team leader quickly got a degree of confidence that, when they said it was done, we wouldn’t have to wonder if it really was, and check it in depth. There was a trust in Software Mind’s definition of 'done' and of meeting requirements.

They never give up on a problem. They’re true partners in every sense of the word. They listen to our needs, devise a couple of options in terms of solutions, and when they implement something, they don’t spare any time. They make sure it works. For example, one of our servers went down a few years ago, and they had to rebuild it. They couldn’t do it fast enough, and they had it done in about five days. They put in a lot of effort, getting us back to work and reduced our anxiety.

They got us into the cloud quickly and seamlessly. Our staff have been pleased with the ticket response time, which is sometimes within moments of sending it. They’re not only helping them fix whatever is wrong, but they’ll also tell them how to fix the same problem if it happens again. We’re happy with their communication, which is mostly done by phone and email. They also produce two different reports for us. One is on the sales side where they tell us how things are going and ask what else we need from them, as well as how they can help us get there.

Imagis was extremely diligent about making good on what they promised us, to get to a point where what we had was a fit for our purposes. We paid more money than we’d initially hoped because we ended up going for a system we hadn’t initially considered. That system became cheaper over time, so the cost got closer to what we’d anticipated.

They’ve been very good from this standpoint. Any failures in project management and keeping schedules have been on my team’s side. Some IT providers come in and do everything, and I don’t think this is Imagis at all. We need to have an internal IT staff, even if it's just one person. I don’t think they’re the right fit for an organization that wants to completely offload IT to a vendor. Their real value proposition is in giving expertise in certain technical areas that I, as a generalist, don’t have.
