MDC had engaged Xterra to quickly scale a rapidly growing AI company with an HQ in San Francisco CA.

Xterras deliverables were as follows:

Drive the network design which entailed weekly design and coordination meetings, security standards, ISP redundancy, ongoing support and maintenance capabilities, performance, systems needing to be supported and overall network topology.

Once network design and equipment specifications were developed, Xterra procured, staged and prepped all pieces of the netowrk at their local shop and deployed on site programming, patching, wireless surveys (pre/post) as well as day one turnover training and testing.

Xterra sprinted through the finish line ahead of schedule and mainteded their pricing throughout the course of the 18 month project.

Xterra is extremely thorough during the project discovery and requirements gathering process. With their extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of industry best practices, they have always been able to provide us with appropriate solutions that meet our needs. They are also very responsive to changing requirements.

Xterra has a deep bench. Their knowledge and experience are extensive. However, two things set them apart: their ability to understand our business, our needs, and the particular constraints and challenges that we face, and their ability to communicate clearly not only with our technical staff but also with other campus stakeholders. 

CCA – like most small to medium colleges – has extensive data requirements with a limited number of technical resources and a demanding community of students, staff, and faculty to support. Xterra doesn’t provide cookie-cutter solutions but has always provided solutions appropriately scoped to our needs and our constraints. 

And not unlike most of higher education, our community is made of a wide range of leaders and stakeholders, most of whom are not technical. Xterra meets people where they are; bringing them into the process and explaining highly technical ideas in language that they can understand.

Xterra has been much more responsive to our employees needs when encountering IT problems, their ticketing system is very good and their support team is very responsive. We successfully moved offices with virtually no down time and we are currently working with Xterra on a move to Azure which was part the of the roadmap that Xterra helped with.

We met weekly during the projects, were assigned a lead project manager who used software to show us where we stood in terms of meeting our goals.  Projects have been delivered on time and they are very responsive to our needs.  I would recommend Xterra to others looking for great Managed Services Provider.

They understand the law firm environment, I think their leadership team is great.  We meet 2 times to get a better overall understanding of where we stand and Xterra is great about alerting us to possible issues down the road.  Everyone from the client support to the engineers are easy to work with and communicate very well.

I don't think so, when we have alerted them to possible issues with a ticket, they take care of it right away.
