We used Slack to communicate, and the team was VERY responsive, especially outside of their working hours, due to our time difference. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no need for hand-holding and project management from our side. This, paired with their understanding of Android development, provides a competitive advantage, especially compared with other vendors that require very detailed specifications.

For example, I once called from Europe in the middle of the night with a password reset issue and they resolved it immediately.
