      BB Agency did a great job of taking general ideas and some very loosely termed flows or processes and then put them into a concrete UX experience. From our end, we don’t have any in-house designers and I’m as close as we get with the UX side. When it comes to being able to describe elements or describe how we want things to look or feel, we don’t necessarily have the right vocabulary to communicate a lot of instances. Not necessarily with BB Agency, but in the past, I’ve worked with designers and found that it’s very hard to find ones who can translate that right into the design that we are looking for.

      Every 2–3 days, we get proposals and new screen iterations. If I have a small request to move something, the designer takes care of it seamlessly. When it comes to being more subjective, such as logo design or choosing a font, someone works closely with the designer, and then that individual jumps on a call with me. He’s a genius — he translates my non-design comments into their language and, in 2–3 days, the designer comes up with precisely what I had in mind.

Giving us a tracking calendar and communicating regularly kept me informed about the project’s progression. I met with Shannon and Caroline once or twice a week and we emailed each other constantly. Their experience allowed them to quickly take control of the project without much assistance from us. They usually completed tasks well-before expected due dates.

      Slam's project management was seamless from start to finish. From our first conversation with Silvia and Kyle, through the entire process working primarily with Kyle, everything felt easygoing and organized. He was responsive, creative in his thinking, and offered insights we hadn't considered from a visual perspective. The collaborative part of the process really stood out. Kyle would show us options and explain his reasoning rather than just telling us what wouldn't work. For example, when we wanted to try something that might not translate well visually, he'd say "let me show you what it looks like" rather than just shutting it down. We appreciated that approach—it helped us learn and make better decisions together. Kyle also stayed flexible when our timeline shifted. We went a little beyond the original timeline, but he was patient and committed to getting everything right. He never made us feel rushed, and he genuinely cared about the final product. When we needed to pause or adjust, he accommodated without complaint. He was also just incredibly pleasant to work with. Patient, collaborative, responsive, and always willing to jump on calls or answer questions. It felt like working with someone who genuinely enjoyed the work and wanted us to succeed.

      The delivery was very quick and efficient. The whole project took 3 months from initial ideation (product design) until successful launch. The platform is stable and works quite well with just some minor bugs along the way - but they are always fixed right away. It was very efficient. In the beginning, we worked in close collaboration with Apex Lab and had frequent meetings to create a detailed specification for our platform. After that, they worked pretty independently in the delivery phase. We had daily touchpoints with their team to see their progress and discuss any questions they might have had.
