We wanted our new website to be very visual and impactful. Our engagement started with a Brand Discovery Document, where we were guided through the process of breaking down our vision into concepts that the design team could later translate into colors, shapes, and design ideations. From the very beginning, we were able to describe our expectations thoroughly to make sure the Slam team would be able to bring them to reality. 
We kept the navigation simple at this stage, with a single page divided into single sections. The whole design process was carried out in constant collaboration between both teams, making it possible for us to provide feedback every step of the way. We were first presented with low-fidelity wireframes, and once those were approved, the Slam team was able to move forward with mock-ups. 
They also provided us with a document where we could insert all website copy to make the building process smoother. We requested additional visual assets for social and operational purposes, such as social media campaign templates and pitch decks, and these were delivered quickly for us to use post-launch. Lastly, we scheduled a meeting to discuss final feedback and were ready to launch.

As soon as we launched, we received several comments from partners and other contacts congratulating us on our new image. Having a brand new website as beautiful as ours gave our organization an elevated image overall that boosted our reputation and credibility.

1. **Development of Campaign Creative Identity:** Slam was responsible for creating a new creative identity for our campaign. This included developing a new color palette and unique content treatments that set our campaign apart visually and aligned with our strategic objectives. 
2. **Messaging Consultation:** A key part of their service was consulting on the campaign messaging. Working closely with our Development and MarComms teams, Slam conducted two rounds of consultation to refine and strengthen our campaign messages. 
3. **Email Campaign Support:** Their expertise extended to reviewing and supporting our email campaign. Slam focused on enhancing email design for better conversion rates, applying best practices in design and content strategy. 
4. **Design of Creative Assets:** The scope also covered the design of creative assets for the campaign, such as: 
   • Graphics for the landing page, ensuring an engaging first impression. 
   • Development of important communication materials like 'Save the Date' graphics and campaign eCards. 
   • Creation of 'End of Year' and 'Giving Tuesday' thank you graphics, adding a personal touch to our donor communications. 
   • Production of 'Meet the Fellows Carousel' graphics for social media platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as for the email campaign. 
   • Design of 'End of Year Giving' campaign graphics and 'sense of urgency' graphics, enhancing the impact of our calls to action.

We raised over $470,000 and still counting. We surpassed our goal to raise $100K, and also passed last year's total raise of $180k. Slam really supported us in the visual and graphic production of the campaign!

One area of improvement I'd like to see is accountability. I did have to send follow ups to receive certain assets by the deadline or adjust the deadline as needed to give them more time to provide assets. However, we loved working with them and we're partnering with them again on another project soon

The website’s design needed to mirror the uniqueness and authenticity of our Italian restaurant. Slam Media Lab kicked off the project by collecting all assets, followed by a brand discovery process, and then jumping into wireframes and structure. This was an important part of the process because we wanted to ensure the website had the right sections, all optimized for search engines. We were scoped to design the following pages: Home, About, Menu, Events, Gift Cards, and Contact. 

In the process, we needed a quick landing page to start accepting both reservations and orders. Slam quickly put that together, set-up the analytics (Google Search Console and Google Analytics). After the design phase, Slam built the website, sent me a link to QA, and we launched! They provided live training and documentation so I can make changes to the website in the future.

Our new website is already getting thousands of people on a weekly basis! Our customers are making orders and reservations directly on the website. I truly can’t say enough great things.

Project sections were delivered on time and with clarity about the impact of any shifts or new requests. Our time was always in the loop and they were very responsive to our needs.

There were three faces to working with Slam: design, development, and launch! 

**Design** We went through a brand discovery process where it was so much fun to see their interpretation of my values. The work was top notch. They did a fantastic job at turning my music, inspiration, and values into mood boards. It just felt right. I loved the colors chosen and the fonts, too. They captured who I am and the vision of Evergrowth! After the brand discovery and logo process, they started working on both wireframes and initial mockups. Really enjoyed seeing the colors, fonts, logo, and wireframes come to live. 

**Development** During the development phase, they translated the design mockups into both static and dynamic pages using Webflow, ensuring the website's flexibility, showing up properly on mobile, and ease of future updates. They also set-up all the redirects from all my resources to the new site and setup all the SEO metatags. This was awesome because it allows all my resources to show up properly in search engines. They took care of setting up DNS configurations to prepare for a smooth launch!!! I was so happy to see it out in the world. 

**Train** They provided training and documentation through Looms, a walk-through, and a hub on Notion where we can go back and check these resources! The Slam team lives and breathes branding & great design!!!

The initial phase of the project involved aligning with Slam to establish a clear direction for the web redesign. This included conducting a brand discovery sprint to understand our values and the direction of the site. Slam developed a moodboard to translate ideas into visual concepts. They refined the color palette and font pairings too. Following the alignment phase, the project moved into the design phase. Slam worked on content outlines, wireframes, and the overall structure of the website to have the foundation laid out. Then, they shared high-fidelity mock-ups. 

Once the design is finalized, they are translated into both static and CMS-driven pages. This is followed by a QA process to ensure the website is accessible, responsive, and visually consistent across different devices. The team also takes care of setting up redirects and migrating existing content to the new website. Integration with CRM, ESPs. Once the website is live, Slam Media Lab provides training and documentation to empower our team to take control of the website.

1. Building a design system: We wanted them to translate Apalis brand identity into design system components, including layouts, buttons, navigation, cards, controls, fields, effects, banners, and more. 
2. User experience design: Slam researched assessed pain points and design constraints of our work, developed a UX strategy with a new user journey map and created low-fidelity wireframes to visualize new UX flow, mapping with items from new design system 
3. High fidelity mock-ups: Combining the new design system with low-fidelity wireframes, Slam designed high fidelity mockups for the Apalis platform

Slam’s designs and UX work will go live soon for our users, who are really excited to see our product.

Slam Media Lab really went above and beyond to design and launch Symphonic Capital’s new brand identity and website!!! I absolutely love the work and so happy to have partnered with them. We went through an in-depth branding session where we looked through inspo, colors, fonts, and even used my Spotify playlist as a way to get more inspiration for our work. Plus, their responsiveness and ability to turn our feedback into mock-ups is a testament to how much they care. 

Here's a rundown of the scope of work and key deliverables: 

• Brand identity: They handled the colors, logo design, and fonts, making sure everything looked cohesive and reflected our firm's values.
• Brand collateral and style guide: To make sure we stay consistent with our brand, they re-created our pitch deck, designed new brand assets, and delivered a style guide to ensure our team and partners can follow it! 
• Web design & dev & on-page SEO optimization: Built on Webflow, loads fast, designs are truly beautiful, and then they connected the forms with our Airtable database. 
• Google Analytics & Google Search Console set-up: They made sure this was connected from day one so we can start tracking data.
• Training & documentation: I loved that they had these videos and an hour training to ensure we knew had to edit and make changes to the site!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received great responses from the launch — people loving the new brand, name, and the new website, plus we started receiving a lot of founder emails since the launch! Plus, we launched on time :)
